milan_foxes Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Last away friendly against the Posh, who beat Notts Forest yesterday, 1-0 with George Boyd getting the goal. Will be nice to see James Wesoloswki get a run-out for them. Hope DJs run will continue Anyone going to this?
Karljohn Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Not at £17 a ticket for a pre season friendly stood in a cowshed, pisstaking cvnts!
andy_croydz Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Not at £17 a ticket for a pre season friendly stood in a cowshed, pisstaking cvnts! Wtf!? £17 for a ticket? That is daylight robbery for a friendly IMO. Well... Unless the friendly was Man Utd vs Chelsea, but... It's not
mmarkie Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Will we be able to sit in the corner of that stand does anyone know? I like terracing but fancy sitting this time.
Mawsley Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Not at £17 a ticket for a pre season friendly stood in a cowshed, pisstaking cvnts! My sentiments too. Shit city, shit team, shit ground, shit train station, shit police and shit town centre. I'll be at the cricket in Nottingham
ousefox Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Tin pot club. How they can justify that sort of pricing is beyond belief. Wankers.
Jay Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 I believe they charged £22.00 for the Villa friendly last week I would have gone to this but at £17.00 they can feck off it's disgusting to be honest
Unabomber Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 I think it is safe to say that you need more money than sense to turn up for this.
andy_croydz Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 I'm honestly shocked at the pricing, how much did Oxford charge? Peterborough aren't a much bigger club than Oxford TBH. Only a division higher and the ground is around the same standard as Oxfords.

Asha Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Looking forward to this on Tuesday. First game of the season, will just be glad to get back into the swing of things.
cambridgefox Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 They are some greedy twats,i work with a steward from peterboring and he said they were going to charge us £20 at first.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Possibly going, only if I get in for £8 though.

milan_foxes Posted 25 July 2010 Author Posted 25 July 2010 I'm not going due to them prices but I think i'll go Sunderland game.
Petchy Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 I'm still going regardless of the prices.. just want to see the boys in blue (just a saying before anyone points it out.. I know we're going to be in yellow) as last season feels like forever ago!
100percentTrueBlue Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Fair point Petchy, regardless of price, I'll follow City anywhere! Is steep for a Pre Season fixture, but I wouldn't miss it for the world!
Corky Posted 26 July 2010 Posted 26 July 2010 Would've gone but have concerns about the competence of the national rail service to ensure getting the two trains required to get home. Will be at the Sunderland match.
Dan Posted 26 July 2010 Posted 26 July 2010 Still feel we should have totally boycotted this one and I for one hope only 50 go tops.
Karljohn Posted 26 July 2010 Posted 26 July 2010 Still feel we should have totally boycotted this one and I for one hope only 50 go tops. With you on this one, id rather not put a single penny into Barry Fry's pocket. Just trying to recall how much they charged us last season in the league game, I am sure it was £18.
Petchy Posted 26 July 2010 Posted 26 July 2010 Boycotting does more harm than good really. The message won't come across that your boycotting for the price, instead it will seem as if you're not supporting the team. Come rain or shine, I'll be wherever the City are playing.

I don't buy that, the reason Peterborough are charging so much is because they think that we'll pack the end out no matter what. Going to this is giving TinPosh free reign to charge whatever they like any time the clubs meet. Football clubs care about one thing only these days, the money. They couldn't give a toss about "supporting the team" just so long as people are filling seats/terrace space.
