Fosse Boy Posted 13 August 2010 Posted 13 August 2010 http://www.channel4.com/explore/this-is-england-86/# Interesting. Not quite sure how it'll make the transition from cinema to TV, has the potential to be a blinding series though.
rico Posted 13 August 2010 Posted 13 August 2010 At least they've kept the original cast, could go either way, hopefully will be as good as the film
Guest Bilo Posted 13 August 2010 Posted 13 August 2010 Amazing film, Shaun Turgoose proved himself a real talent. Brilliantly acted, fantastic music and a great commentary on the cultures of the early 80s. I'll be tuning in to watch this series as I really feel it has potential.
Unabomber Posted 13 August 2010 Posted 13 August 2010 Have high hopes for this, I think it will be entertaining enough regardless as to how good the plot is.

What did people make of Somer's Town? when's it start btw?
Salieri Posted 14 August 2010 Posted 14 August 2010 !! looking forward to this although i don't think it'll live up to the film. What did people make of Somer's Town? when's it start btw? Sometime in September, can't wait for this.
CosbehFox Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 I wouldn't be too worried. Shane Meadows was/is heavily involved.
The Padster Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Heard about this on IMDb a while ago but forgot about it, glad to see the whole cast is back. Looking forward to it airing.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Really enjoyed this. Can't wait for next weeks episode. Liked how every ad break was left on a cliffhanger.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Good opening episode. Be interesting to see how the series pans out with Shaun out of the group and Combo scarcely mentioned. Weird how Banjo seems to have undergone a personality transplant from NF psychopath to vol au vent making lynchpin though.
Unabomber Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Well that was fairly poor, hopefully it picks up in the next episode.
Mikey Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 I really enjoyed it. Looking forward too see how it pans out.

Weird how Banjo seems to have undergone a personality transplant from NF psychopath to vol au vent making lynchpin though. Yeah, I guess we'll find out why in the coming episodes. Well, I'd hope so anyway. Just hope however this pans out it doesn't ruin the film for me.
lildave3 Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 Thought it was brilliant myself, I enjoyed watching it anyway.
rico Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 loved it when he spat on his chips, cos he thought those other lads were going to nick them
Bugg Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 It was hilarious when they were all trying to turn they're bikes around
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 The bit where they said the table had its own carpet lol Then the little chair on the tv!!
LCFC-ARAB Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 I thought it was awesome, the bully on the bike made me laugh! i hope he's in it more

rico Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Couldn't believe that this is Smell, she looks a bit retarded in the series
Toby or not Toby Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Was this any good? I missed the first episode!
Petchy Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Quite liked the opening scene, thought it was a good transition between TIE and TIE 86. Can't wait for next weeks!!
rico Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Was this any good? I missed the first episode! Repeated next Monday mate
Mikey Posted 10 September 2010 Posted 10 September 2010 I thought it was awesome, the bully on the bike made me laugh! i hope he's in it more Yep, he was hilarious, got to be in it again.
Cat Burger Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 Really don't know what this is for. Not sure I'll wait up for it next week. I loved the film but all this seems to be about is moral bankruptcy. There's not a good or innocent caricature in sight. Plus it hasn't been funny in my opinion.
