mikey54 Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Banks Rodrigues Walsh Sjoberg Nish Sinclair Roberts Gibson Glover Worthington Lineker Will always remember John Sjoberg - a man mountain, who like Walshie played a few games up front as an emergency striker. Jackie Sinclair and Bobby Roberts were top class - and for me better than Weller & Izzett
Alan Young Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Wallington Rofe Elliott Walsh Whitworth Weller Izzet Lennon Lynex Worthington Lineker subs: Alan Young, Bobby Smith, Emile Heskey, John O'Neill, Gary McCallister
Hitesh Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Based on who I have seen in action since I've supported City: Keller Grayson Walsh Elliott Taggart - I know not strictly a left back but still had to get him in there! Izzet Lennon Parker Guppy Heskey Cottee Subs: Flowers, Collymore, King, Claridge (2 very important goals!), Sinclair, Ferdinand and Kammark

Chairman of the Bored Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Gordon Banks Adam Black Graham Cross Steve Walsh David Nish Keith Weller David Gibson Arthur Chandler Gary Lineker Frank Worthington Arthur Rowley A rather attacking line-up. Gibson would be over worked in midfield, but crikey would we score some goals.

Mikey Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 i know you haven't got much to chose from, but would you really rate his 16 appearances above, say, Andy King? Nope but from what I seem to remember of him, being what, about 10, he was brilliant. I think. And I just really really liked him for no particular reason.
HampshireFox Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 Keller Grayson Elliot Walsh Whitlow Izzet Lennon Zagorakis Guppy Heskey Collymore Subs- Poole, Taggart, Kaamark, King, Roberts, Joachim
Sylvie85 Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 Yeah, read my initial post. It's the best City XI YOU have seen play. Sorry, i never have paid full attention, am gonna have to release some of my team then.........
Alan Young Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 My XI 1 Wallington 2 Mauchlen 3 Rofe 5 Walsh 6 Elliott 4 Izzett 8 McAllister 11 Glover 9 Lineker 10 Worthington Subs 12 Shilton 13 Hobbs 14 Weller 15 Melrose 16 A King 17 Collymore 18 Lynex So many to choose from.... and yet you have only picked 10 players in the starting line up!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 You are all voting for poor players, in a modern boring formation. When I was a lad, football was all about scoring goals. Something most of you have never experienced. Not your fault either, as most of you grew up accept the mediocre defensive style of football. I will go with the fantastic exciting football that I grew up with. Attack! Attack! Attack! Here is the 2, 3, 5., formation, which my long experience of City players can come up with. Most of you will be dissapointed, because they will only be names to you. This side could beat any other City side to a pulp. Banks Rodrigues Nish McLintock King Cross Weller Worthington Dougan Gibson Glover Subs, Shilton, Sjoberg, Roberts, Clarke, Liineker, Stringfellow

Banks Rodrigues Nish McLintock King Cross Weller Worthington Dougan Gibson Glover Subs, Shilton, Sjoberg, Roberts, Clarke, Liineker, Stringfellow This is a really difficult thread as it largely depends on your age but their are some fascinating results - i agree mostly with the above team except i wd swop McLintock with Elliot with MON as manager - Cross was Leicester through and through sheer class !!!!!! Probably change Gibson with Lennon good thread though
poppowell Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 Can't believe arthur rowley hasn't made it into anyone else's team!! I forgot to put shilton and banks in the squad, I'm ashamed of myself! Thats because there can't be many people alive who seen him play !! The thread states that you have to have seen them play, like my team I picked if I could I would have swapped Shilts for Banksy & Nish for Whitworth maybe Rowley & Revie would have been in too. Unffortunately I never seen these guys play in the flesh !!
poppowell Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 Keller Kaamark/Grayson (can't decide) Elliot Walsh Whitlow Izzet Parker Lennon Guppy Joachim Roberts Some shockers in this thread, Impey, Ferdinand, and BEN THATCHER!!! How can you say Ferdinand is a shocker ??? probably one of the greatest strikers of modern times. The problem is with this thread is that by the time some players played for us they were past there best (Ferdinand, Colymoore, Keown, Gary Parker. for instance) but do you base your selection on their city form or their carear form ?? I included Ferdinand on his carear form. Likewise some of the players hit their peak after leaving City (Lineker, Shilton, Alan Smith, Alan clarke , Derek Dougan to name a few)!!
Sir Alex Ferguson Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 My favourite Leicester City XI (From the ones who i have seen play) Kasey Keller Rob Ullathorne Gerry Taggart Steve Walsh Ben Thatcher Muzzy Izzet Steve Guppy Robbie Savage Nicky Summerbee Emile Heskey Tony Cottee

MikeyT Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 Arphexad Kenton Sinclair N'Gotty Impey Dyer Newton N'Guessan Benjamin De Vries Hammond This has to be the winning one! But you also forgot Lee Marshall and Junior Lewis!!
