Corky Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 To be fair, that would be true regardless of how we started Yes, I meant even more remarkable Another 5th place finish would be a great achievement, and there is still plenty of time to turn this around. I think the best thing for us would be the transfer window closing, we'll have the squad in place for the next four months so some pattern of team selection can be created.
davieG Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 Agreed!! Too early to tell, Burnley are a tough outfit and have a great home record, I just think Burnley were the more confident and aggresive! If we went in at half time at 0-0, it might have been a different story but going down 1-0 seemed to knock the belief out of em!! But they looked out of sorts, disinterested and elsewhere before we kicked off. Nothing to do with 1-0 down at half time.
Dr The Singh Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 But they looked out of sorts, disinterested and elsewhere before we kicked off. Nothing to do with 1-0 down at half time. Maybe your right, alot of people said the players looked dejected but being 1-0 down at half time doesn't help, it makes the Sousa's and the sides chances of a recovery alot tougher!! I just think people are reading too much into, or should I say I hope there isn't too much in it........the side have done well in the past, if something has upset the cart i feel it will only get worse and will effect performances further!!
chesterfox Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 Anyone know what the away attendance was for this? i'd questimate 2000

Based on their pre-match body language and warm up I predicted a loss even though the usual pessimist in me had gone for a 1-1 draw prior to entering the stadium..
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 We have not had the best of starts, but the season is long, and a lot can happen, over the coming months. It is time to get behind the manager, and support him. Already the knives are out, which is truly sad, and very unfair. The time to judge him, will be at the end of the season. The hatchet boys did the same to Martin O'Neil, and we all know what happened next. Our supporters have a reputation, over many years, of being fickle, but nowadays it is getting worse, more's the pity.

What you have said though does not mean that there are no concerns about some of his actions though,,,,,,,in this case I would love to be proven well wrong. I just miss NP tbh
Fosse Boy Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 Anyone know what the away attendance was for this? Less than a thousand. Loads of empty zeats.

If I could be bothered I would dredge up some of your (MANY) irrational, knee jerk posts from last season.
