dandannieldanok Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Watched it for the first time last night. Loved it! Get on 4od and watch the first two series, far far better than last night. If you loved last night, you'll be in stitches over the first two series.
Guest ttfn Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Thought it was an improvement over the first episode, not quite reaching the heights of the first two series though. Jay's character has gone a bit far, Simon's pretty funny still, Neil is just as thick as always but Will's really getting on my tits with his sarcastic responses to EVERY SINGLE STATEMENT. Apart from that, funny. Will getting stoned and panicking was great, as was Neil's total collapse on sleeping pills. Oh, and Hannah Tointon would definitely get some Bilo inside her. Agree with every word. Neil and Simon remain superb characters. Will's getting more annoying and Jay's character is too ridiculous now, although at least the drug storyline was more believable than the hooped earrings debacle of last week. I also enjoyed the little back and forth with the drug dealer. It wasn't a very 'Inbetweeners' scene but made me chuckle.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 I loved Phoenix Nights, Max and Paddy ruined their characters for me. The title of the programme kind of summed it up for me; Road to Nowhere. Have to agree. Phoenix Nights was brilliant, Max and Paddy seemed to lack something for me. Didn't find it funny at all much. I loved last nights episode, found it hilarious.
Tommeh Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Best bit was seeing Wills mum again. Found Simons performance so cringeworthy, just wouldn't happen.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Best bit was seeing Wills mum again. Found Simons performance so cringeworthy, just wouldn't happen. It's a comedy! Fair enough it's meant to be fairly realistic. But you can't simply watch this and find things cringeworthy. You've got to laugh at them I found Simon funny last night, the constant bringing Jay back down to earth, and that kiss
BoneDog Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 'Cliff Richard' in Max and Paddy gives me a good laugh just thinking about him. Gonna watch that series again soon! I've not seen any Inbetweeners but I might have a gleg one night on 4od to see what crack is, like.
Ozwin Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 'Hi guys, wanna play some tennis?' 'I've told you before Cliff, we've got no balls!' 'That's alright, you can use mine.'
AmericanScott Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Right, on the 3rd episode of series 1 now. Why did i neglect myself of this brilliance for nearly 2 years?
Tilley Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 Haven't laughed once in the first two episodes, so disappointing.
J.Lisemore Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Thought last weeks was crap. Hopefully a big improvement tonight.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 First two episodes have been fine, nothing great. Don't seem to have any replay value. Bit disappointing so far.
maddog Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 First two episodes have been fine, nothing great. Don't seem to have any replay value. Bit disappointing so far. I must be a sad arse then 'cos i've watched the first two episodes 3 times
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Goes without saying, maddog.
Asha Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 This was alright first two series, so far the third has been shit in comparison. I swear most people who go "this episode was amaaaazing i was lmao'ing all the time lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll" are only saying it because they want to be popular by jumping on the "inbetweeners > life" bandwagon. This series up to now has given me a few wry smiles but I haven't actually laughed once. Feeling it's been a series too far, god forbid them bringing out a fucking movie.
Webbo Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 The first episode was laugh out load funny the second was poor, as if it was the last episode of the series when they are struggling for ideas.
DB11 Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 I swear most people who go "this episode was amaaaazing i was lmao'ing all the time lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll" are only saying it because they want to be popular by jumping on the "inbetweeners > life" bandwagon. Who do you possibly have on your Facebook?
Fosse Boy Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Think some are over analysing it. Just take it at face value, switch your brain off, and have a laugh.
lildave3 Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Who do you possibly have on your Facebook? Think some are over analysing it. Just take it at face value, switch your brain off, and have a laugh. Exactly. People need to chill out and enjoy some things.
Narborough_fox Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Possibly going the same was as Gavin & Stacey? 3rd series was never going to be as good, it had to much to live up to.
deanmc19 Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Found out a few days ago that Hannah Tointon (ex of Kerching! and Hollyoaks, sister of Dawn off Eastenders) is going to be in this. DINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDING! wow!

And you need to liven up a bit I think.
