Ozwin Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Seems like they're playing on their personas too much now. Will's being more of a killjoy than ever Jay talks more BS than ever before, I don't think he said anything that wasn't a lie in this episode Simon's character is just laughable, nobody's that bad with women and he's so awkward and cringe worthy it doesn't seem normal. Neil's the only one who seems the same, and ironically is the most normal out of the lot of them.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 I think Simon's been alot funnier this series. Jay's still a bit shit.
Mikey Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Tbf thought it was a brilliant episode. Some of Simons comments made me laugh. 'Can I tell you something?' 'Well you just did, so, probably.'
Asha Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Simon's character is just laughable, nobody's that bad with women and he's so awkward and cringe worthy it doesn't seem normal. Ahem...
sdb Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 thought it was a bit poor last night. just exaggerating the character types that we already know. Jays a bullshitter, Will's lame etc etc. could sense it's running out of steam a bit but hope not.
dandannieldanok Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Personally thought it was really really unfunny, don't think I laughed once. They should have a done a Pheonix Nights and The Office, left it at 2 really really good series and bowed out on a high note.

They should have a done a Pheonix Nights and The Office, left it at 2 really really good series and bowed out on a high note. Which is why there should be a 2nd series of Max & Paddy !
Ozwin Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Which is why there should be a 2nd series of Max & Paddy ! Amen! I swear I heard they were filming it a few years ago but nothing came of it.
CosbehFox Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Not the most of episodes....most defo the most realistic situation. It's so much more correct with teenagers than the likes of Skins could ever be. I can agree though that their characters personalities are being overplayed. Blokes can be like Simon but wouldn't behave like that in front of a girl.
dandannieldanok Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Which is why there should be a 2nd series of Max & Paddy ! I'd rather not be subjected to another series of that tripe personally. Compared to what they were in Phoenix Nights, that programme practically destroyed their characters.
Webbo Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Didnt rate it all that much, not as good as last weeks in my opinion. You're right.

dandannieldanok Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 You hate everything! I loved Phoenix Nights, Max and Paddy ruined their characters for me. The title of the programme kind of summed it up for me; Road to Nowhere.
lildave3 Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Only Ozwin could think Neil is normal  Thought it was brilliant, Will after eating the drugs was hilarious
StanSP Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Liked last nights, and Hannah Tointon Neil's sister is better.
J.Lisemore Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 I didn't laugh once, and I laugh at pretty much everything.
Guest Bilo Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Thought it was an improvement over the first episode, not quite reaching the heights of the first two series though. Jay's character has gone a bit far, Simon's pretty funny still, Neil is just as thick as always but Will's really getting on my tits with his sarcastic responses to EVERY SINGLE STATEMENT. Apart from that, funny. Will getting stoned and panicking was great, as was Neil's total collapse on sleeping pills. Oh, and Hannah Tointon would definitely get some Bilo inside her.

ousefox Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 I didn't find this weeks that good at all tbh, laughed a few times but definitely not as good as the first. Hannah Tointon though
AmericanScott Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Watched it for the first time last night. Loved it!
