I Live in North Carolina.

If i die from this, I won't be very happy about it.

Make sure you post in here and let us know if you do die.

Hope you guys who live out there are ok over the next few days. :fc:

If only we'd have beaten Forest, least you could die happy!

In all seriousness, hope you don't get to badly affected :fc:

I'll settle for a win against Southampton before the storm comes; then I'd be able to die a happy man.

Where I am in Connecticut, the eye of the hurricane is predicted to make landfall about 25 miles to the east of me. We are fairly close to the shore but we are high enough up that we shouldn't get flooded. It's the wind damage and the possibility of losing power for several days I'm worried about.

Plus if I lose power, I might miss the maynard signing lol

The images, not the text. Color-coded threat levels, destruction scenarions, CAPS LOCK: it's like the terrorists are coming, but this time, they're in the form of a cyclonic storm.

Hey, Buddy, hope you've got your wellies ready. Hold tight now!

Oh, bollocks, I'm a year behind the times. Methinks the current one is Irene.

Hurricane party on my friends' covered front porch, enjoying the rain before the tropical storm-strength (and possibly hurricane-strength) winds come tomorrow.

Where I am, it should be nasty all day on Sunday, but I'm more concerned about massive power outages and contamination of the reservoirs due to flooding, which would make water undrinkable for a few days. I've got bottled water, though. Supermarkets and stores here were all out of water, flashlights and batteries yesterday morning.

Thanks. 8 dead in the U.S. so far in Irene's path. I kid a lot, but hurricanes are no joke.

We drove to Staunton VA yesterday about 200 miles from where we live in Virginia Beach. We spent the day watching the storm on tv and buying a generator for the inevitable power outage when we return. I just don't know if I have a home to return to, that's the downside in being safe.

On more important matters Sven needs to stop ****ing about with the formation.

You know what sucks most about this hurricane right now? We had to take our AC units out of our windows due to the high winds and it's hot as fook in here now!

Pouring with rain here and has been for about 5 hours now and we are still just in the outer bands, only about 14 hours to go, fun fun fun!

Sven should forget about Maynard and sign Irene. I think she can wreak havoc up front, would certainly do a job in the Championship, and Nugent can run off her. The new Heskey/Cottee.

Got power back about 20 minutes ago after losing it around 9.30am yesterday. We escaped damage where we are, just had a ton of rain and wind. Whole state got nailed pretty bad, over 700K still without power and a lot of flooding and wind damage all over.

The most bizarre part though was literally about 15 minutes after the eye passed over us, the sky cleared and the sun came out and the wind vanished. If it wasn't for the countless broken tree limbs all over the road you wouldn't have known we even had a hurricane. Still, just thankful that we and everyone we know are ok :)
