stix Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Soe people really do talk some shit on here sometimes. Granted we have made a terrible start, and also granted, Sousa has made a couple of mistakes tactically. But come on...EVERYONE makes mistakes! And surely better to make them now when it leaves more time to rectify them, get the team settled and go on a blistering run of form! If in 5 or so games time we are still languishing in the bottom three then i will happily devour an american size slice of humble pie, but until then i am 100% behind both paolo and the team. I have seen some good things so far this season(and some bad!) and i think this little stumbling block will will be successfully hurdled with an emphatic victory over the dogshit army on saturday. On the subject of covscum, got my ticket yesterday afternoon and the geezer said there were still over 2000 tickets left. Just thought id let you know.
Fox92 Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 the cov fans celebrations after coming back to 2-2 was on of the most cringing/embarrassing things i have ever seen hahaha To be fair though, I think I would have been like that if Leicester had just made it 2-2, ecspecially against local rivals.
lcfcadam Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 the cov fans celebrations after coming back to 2-2 was on of the most cringing/embarrassing things i have ever seen hahaha Oh yeah, like we wouldn't have been doing exactly the same thing in the reverse situation?!
Corky Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 the cov fans celebrations after coming back to 2-2 was on of the most cringing/embarrassing things i have ever seen hahaha To be fair to them they were still in with a chance of the play-offs after the game. Obviously the point did little good in that respect.
sbfox Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 If we look at our central midfielders we had last year... King, Oakley, Wellens. Now, lets look at our central midfielders this season... King, Oakley, Wellens, Moussa, Abe, Moreno. Now lets look at the style of game we are trying to play... Pearson - hoofball (either to feet or head, it didn't matter). Sousa? A game based on the floor, with pass and move being the modus operandi. Do people not see that we probably have a better quality midfield than last year and there is no reason whatsoever, that come late May, we won't be back in those playoffs. Our style has had a major upheaval (thank god) and it WILL take time to bed the team together. We're not going to see the instant gratification that some of you want, so please, get over it. Pearson wasn't the messiah and indeed, was massively lucky many times to get a result. Anyone remember Donny away? Bristol away? The shambles that was Plymouth away? The ENDLESS 0-0s we had at home? Anyway, mini-rant over. 2-0 City at the weekend, the season starts here.
Ric Flair Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Ooh good answer. Except it wasn't. Who would you actually want as manager. And Morrison is not the future of this club. He's been found out, as has Hobbs, but Hobbs at least can improve with an experienced player alongside him. How has Morrison been found out? He's started one game this season in the league, does that constitute to being found out or that your manager has bought in completely new methods and neither you nor any of your other defence and goalkeeper have gotten to grips with it yet? Bizarre. I'll be honest with you, my choice of who i'd want as manager is irrelevent. I've supported this club long enough to know that the obvious choices are often not successful and we're at a level where the sort of manager we can attract is either unproven and a gamble or has a series of failures to his name. But that doesn't mean Sousa should stay in charge if he continues to commit these horrendous errors. Let's see what saturday brings anyway. I cannot stomach a defeat to Coventry, i'll be loud and proud in the away end and if we lose then my train journey back to London will be with 4 bottles of wine.
Webbo Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Now lets look at the style of game we are trying to play... Pearson - hoofball (either to feet or head, it didn't matter). Sousa? A game based on the floor, with pass and move being the modus operandi. I keep hearing this but I'm not seeing much proof. There were loads of hoofs out of defence against Boro and Reading. Do people not see that we probably have a better quality midfield than last year Time will tell. No evidence of that so far.
poopbutt Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 I keep hearing this but I'm not seeing much proof. There were loads of hoofs out of defence against Boro and Reading. Time will tell. No evidence of that so far. and we also played nice flowing football at times under pearson
Mikey Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 brought forward on police advice Makes me chuckle every time.
Tommeh Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 the cov fans celebrations after coming back to 2-2 was on of the most cringing/embarrassing things i have ever seen hahaha Sorry What? Fans celebrating goals, yeah what a bunch of idiots, bet they looked a right bunch of cards.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Makes me chuckle every time. Not sure why you find it funny, have you seen these ? Can't see much action, but definitely still a hooligan rivalry. There quite recent. Sure if there wasn't police or security, it would be nasty.
George Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 More like a bunch of 14 year olds from Coventry getting chased down a street by a load of Leicester fans, no hooliganism their what so ever. I was at that boxing event and it was between Sunderland and Leicester fans.

Fosse Boy Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 That's why several chaps in their 40s were arrested ? Definitely 14 year olds Yeah, coz the Mountie always gets their man, right?
George Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 I was referring to the Coventry boys being 14 - 19.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Yeah, coz the Mountie always gets their man, right? Who knows. Anyway, all im saying is I can see why the police have brought it forward. Common sense. I was referring to the Coventry boys being 14 - 19. I think if you used your noodle before you spoke then you wouldn't look so silly.
Fosse Boy Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Who knows. Anyway, all im saying is I can see why the police have brought it forward. Common sense. Not really. Disrupting the day of thousands and thousands of supporters because of what a handful of complete fucktards might do doesn't seem much like common sense to me.

Re - read my original post squire, it stated : It looked like 14 year olds from COVENTRY running away from Leicester fans.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Re - read my original post squire, it stated : It looked like 14 year olds from COVENTRY running away from Leicester fans. Yes, and im saying if you thought to get your facts right, E.g check the internet you'd realise several people of the same age from coventry were also arrested. Think 14 may be a bit exaggerated. Probably a couple of youths, but mostly elders.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Not really. Disrupting the day of thousands and thousands of supporters because of what a handful of complete fucktards might do doesn't seem much like common sense to me. I totally agree ! Im saying its a good thing because who does want a disruptive day? If it can be prevented by an early k/o. Feds aint stupid. Oh and i didn't mean to turn this into a hooliganism thread
George Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 4 people arrested from Coventry. One over the age of 30 the others were in their teens.
Fosse Boy Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 I totally agree ! Im saying its a good thing because who does want a disruptive day? If it can be prevented by an early k/o. Feds aint stupid. Oh and i didn't mean to turn this into a hooliganism thread Well it disrupts the lives of thousands who would quite obviously prefer a 3 o'clock kickoff. How do early kickoffs prevent hooliganism by the way?
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Well it disrupts the lives of thousands who would quite obviously prefer a 3 o'clock kickoff. How do early kickoffs prevent hooliganism by the way? Pretty sure you can answer that yourself.
