Guest Mee-9 Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Hmmm.... Heart says 2-0 win. Head says 1-1.
DanTheFox07 Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I admire the optimism but I can only see us drawing, QPR look far too strong for this division at the moment. This
Donut Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 This is a real tough game. QPR are scoring for fun and dont look like losing. They have already dished out batterings to Barnsley, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough, and the 3-0 win away at Ipswich (who have started pretty well themselves) was knife through butter stuff by the sounds of things. Warnock has done some clever deals too, bringing in the likes of Shaun Derry , Bradley Orr and highly rated Kyle Walker from Spurs to bolster the attacking talent they possess. I must admit im pretty worried about the running power theyve got. Taarabt, Buszaky, Ephraim, Mackie, they can all run at pace and be direct in their style. An earlier post said Alejandro Faurlin might be missing. Big miss for them. He and Derry hold things together at the heart of midfield in whats usually a 5 man midfield (4-2-3-1 type system). Can see lots of goals in this one. Going for a score draw. 2-2, and i dont think 3-3 would be out of the question.
cambridgefox Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I would love to win this, only to hear Warnock winge about everything except, being beaten by the better team.He has been so smug of late.i can guarantee he will not give us credit if we win 5-0.Rant over(i hate that blinkered, tunnel visioned twat) Anyway a classic match 3-2 Leic!
Legend_in_blue Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I expect more entertainment Sousa style again this weekend. Someone may have pointed out that it was 'NPs team that won' after the game as I walked out from the ground but how often did 'NPs team' play football like that in the second half? It was a superb effort and I don't care what form any team is in when they meet us, meet us in that kind of form and you will find yourselves in trouble. I'm looking forward to each and every game, the football is becoming a delight to watch. Long may this continue.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I would hope Howard and Oakley are dropped for Abe and Gallagher and play the 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation supporting Waghorn. WTF
carterfox90 Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 you can bet warnock will shackle king which may stop us playing our game-love him or hate him warnock is a good manager & has always done a good job at most of the clubs he's been at heart says a city win as we played so well last night but head says a draw
MattyFromLE Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 I think same 11 that started on Tues I'd want to change Howard, but he certainly held the ball up well on his own. I'd like to see Sousa give Fryatt a run out; like many have said he's a confidence player so it can't do much good left on the bench...then again - i spose playing him and him not scoring isn't much use either
fatman L1 Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 We are going to run rings around the League leaders and despatch them comfortably. Last season we seemed to stop them in their tracks with a 2-1 win at Loftus Road, and then a 4-0 mauling at the Walkers. Robbie Neilson is playing so well he will pick the pocket of Mackie, Helguson and Taarabt all at the same time. I would hope Howard and Oakley are dropped for Abe and Gallagher and play the 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation supporting Waghorn up top. Another win and confidence will soar, 3-1 Leicester, Abe, Waghorn and King Why change a winning team? and why would you want Oakley (i'm not 1 o his fans) out for Abe when you have only seen him play for 10 min and he had 1 shot that was miles off target?
adam01 Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 You lot are all dumb if you think leicester is gonna win on saturday. You only one your first game on tuesday with 2 goals without a clean sheet. Qpr have a solid team this year so if your going to the game on saturday, just keep an eye out on Mackie, Taraabt, Helguson, One of them is Guaranteed to score. Prediction - 3-0 Qpr - Leicester UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRS Oh and I forgot, You've already conceded 10 goals in total as opposed to qpr's 2. But by the end of saturday it'll probably be atleast 12. CHEERIO LADS C U THERE PS. ANDY king is gonna have Derry and gorks to deal with getting double man marked, hes gonna have no space - and really who are leicester without andy king, a team who plays like SCUMthorpe
Adel Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 1-1 Waghorn for us, Mackie for them You are going to get gubbed. We are prepared for this one. Ipswich were full of it before Tuesday night and we gubbed them 3-0 at Portman Road. Will be the same on Saturday. I love how people think we are the same QPR as last season only to get the fright of their lives when we turn up.

And I've no doubt you have improved but I seem to recall you lot saying how good you were last season too just before we done you at your place!....saying that I think it'll be a tight game on Saturday

Adel Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Get your humble pie from Tescos. You're gonna need it Saturday evening.
Tod Hoop Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 You seem supremely confident Lads/Lasses! Firstly, the ignorance of certain fans really makes me laugh! I quote - "Oh, how I would love it if we could give Warnock's 'multi-million pound' promotion favourites a good pasting" In stark reality, we are hardly a multi million pound team! We continuously hear that comment from fans that actually know nothing, and base their views on assumption alone! We have spent far less than a lot of teams in this division to be honest! Mackie, Taraabt, Hulse, Smith, Derry & Hill all bought in this Summer for well under 2 million. A good bit of business? I think so! I'm sick of hearing this "Money bags QPR" thing! It's quite laughable! Yes, we have rich owners but we certainly don't splash the cash like some fans think! We have a very shrewd set-up right now with Warnock at the helm creating a sense of confidence and belief which your foxes, will struggle to overpower. Onto the game - Not only have we destroyed teams this season by the amount of goals and chances we have created, but we also have a stern defense to back this up with only conceding 2 goals in 6 matches scoring 17 in the process. Say what you like about the opposition we have faced so far, were on fire and you WILL struggle to get anything out of the game. We don't underestimate you though. You are a good side and have probably under-achieved so far this season but looking back on your fixtures so far, its clear that your defense is going to be in for a very torrid time! Boro, Sheff Utd & Ipswich all found this out after we played them! You'll have to be completely on top of your game to get anything from this match thats for sure! I hear a few echo's on this board about having 22 shots against Cardiff?! Well how about this for a Stat. We have had 89 shots in 6 games and scored 17. A 1/3 more than the team closest to us! You will find it hard. I can assure you of that! Anyway, I wish you luck for the season ahead. (After Saturday of course!) Your not a bad lot but I hope the confidence by some of your supporters will be backed up by a decent performance because if you don't put a shift in, you'll get annihilated! I'm going for 1-3 Do not under-estimate us. Were a TOTALLY different outfit than last season thats for sure! You R'ssss!

Still, let them believe what they want to. It makes it even funnier after rhe game.
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Its good to know that for every knee-jerk pessimist there's a knee jerk optimist to balance the books.

Whilst that may well be true and I don't doubt we'll find it difficult for one second, I wouldn't think it's only your bunch that are creating chances. We've had 90 shots on goal in the league this season - 1 more than your awesome attacking force - but just haven't stuck the ball in the onion bag, having a few cleared off the line, hitting the post a few times and having a couple of legitimate goals disallowed. Were it not for the disallowed goals alone, we'd be on 8 points, 3 points behind 3rd place. By all accounts, our performances on the whole have deserved better and we're apparently a lot better than our league position suggests. Fact is, sooner or later the sheer volume of chances we're creating is going to see us completely decimate a team; not saying it's going to be you on Saturday but we'll have more self-belief after finally getting the win we've deserved this season. Confidence plays a big part in football and whilst yours is rightly quite high, ours until Tuesday night was the opposite - completely shot owing to the playoff semi-final exit and off-field shenanigans hampering pre-season. Now we've finally got our first win of the season - against a Cardiff side just as potent as you and previously 100% on the road, we're hoping the confidence will come flooding back and we'll kick on from here. All in all, we shouldn't be the pushover many of you are coming here expecting. I will probably be proven wrong now I'm saying it, but I would expect a closer game than many of you are predicting.
Simo86 Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 have you not got your own message board you could annoy people on

Have a word with your it department,it seems your forum has crashed,as you are all on here! Not all of us think like that,it is going to be tough to eek out a point. If you look on the forum before Tuesdays win,we feared a drubbing. It is amazing what a win can do.My mate is a QPR fan,and i cant shut him up either.
Tod Hoop Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Fair points made. It will be our toughest test yet. Iv'e no illusion about that. Roll on Saturday!

I'm going for 1-3 Do not under-estimate us. Were a TOTALLY different outfit than last season thats for sure! You R'ssss! As expected confidence is high because we managed to beat Cardiff, even with 5 first team players out they are still a class team. Neil Warnock is a quality manager, every one hates him unless he is at their club and any manager who signs 10 players and gets them all gelled pre season clearly know their stuff! This will be a very tough game! and the only way we will get anything is if we are as you said "On top of our game". For me Adel Taraabt needs, Has and will be man marked! he seems to be the architect of most of your best football, the guy is lethal and on his day could beat us on his own! I disagree with the whole runaway team this year i can see you running away with it to be fair as long as you don't let the wheels come off! However you will be surprised when you play us we have suffered heartache over the play off semi-final and Tuesdays win will shake off those shackles and help us to gain back the confidence we need! If we our on top of our game then our Defence will not be punctured easily! On his day Jack Hobbs is the best centre back in the league, what he lacks in pace he makes up for by reading the game like a seasoned pro! Bruno is cool personified on that pitch and on his day is very very tough to get the better of. You will be the toughest test we face, and hopefully we will be able to carry the momentum through to this game and get a result, i think you will be more than happy with a draw? so will I, we all know how dangerous you are! and if we are not at our best it will be a long afternoon! Just don't think we play like s****horpe because we really do not, we have been playing very well and on tuesday we wore Cardiff out by passing, passing, passing, and once their legs grew tired their heads did, and Andy King popped up to expose that! I hope it will be a good flowing game that entertains us both and we can go home smiling! Good luck for the rest of the season.
