maddog Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 We are going to run rings around the League leaders and despatch them comfortably. Last season we seemed to stop them in their tracks with a 2-1 win at Loftus Road, and then a 4-0 mauling at the Walkers. Robbie Neilson is playing so well he will pick the pocket of Mackie, Helguson and Taarabt all at the same time. I would hope Howard and Oakley are dropped for Abe and Gallagher and play the 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation supporting Waghorn up top. Another win and confidence will soar, 3-1 Leicester, Abe, Waghorn and King
ousefox Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Definitely think we can get a win on Saturday. I was unusually confident yesterday and i am for this weekend too. Need at least a point from this to win my 'Fish & Chip bet' with my Leeds scum supporting mate.
irDeano Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 If we carry on the form from Cardiff, we can definitely get at least a draw and maybe even a win. QPR have been on a good run of form, but it has to end eventually and hopefully the confidence boost from the Cardiff game means we are more than capable of being the team to do so. Also, nice to see some positivity again
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Gotta be optimistic. Roll on saturday, hoping for more of the same (Footy and atmosphere)
sdb Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 can we please not go OTT after 1 win...however good we were! We're good enough to get a result but only if the players don't have their heads in the clouds like a few supporters! Not that i mind the optimism of course
Clazie Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I admire the optimism but I can only see us drawing, QPR look far too strong for this division at the moment.
phillthefox Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 i think another fine display from hobbs and morrison should provide a tough test for QPR but if we slip they could be a handful upfront as scoring for fun... COME ON CITY !!! 3-1 Howard, King, Dyer
martyn Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 We'll win. Yes QPR have made an electric start but their starting lineup doesn't fill me with any particular fear.
Father Ted Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I should think that we can have a real belief that we can beat them. After beating Cardiff, we will feel that we can finally play and hopefully we will continue our gathering momentum and stuff Warnock's team. Oh, how I would love it if we could give Warnock's 'multi-million pound' promotion favourites a good pasting. I would definitely keep the same team that started on Tuesday night. If you look closely enough, we played the 4-2-3-1 formation that Spain and Barcelona play and it seems that every single player fits the mould of the formation perfectly! King sitting behind Howard, controlling the game and grabbing goals. Dyer skinning the full-backs. Waghorn being industrial and cutting in on his left will surely get a large yield of goals this season. Howard is 'pivotal' literally as he is the central role, all of the balance in the team comes from him. Oakley and Wellens Their part within the team is unbelievable, Oakley put in his best ever performance in a Leicester shirt yesterday, actually running around and getting stuck in. With them sitting, it releases Neilson and Berner more, it's ashame that neither are really blessed with pace or else we would be an even bigger threat! Bring on QPR, 3-0 win to Leicester (Waghorn, King, Neilson) I had to stop with them 3 but I could have said so many more players! Never before has it looked as if every player in a blue shirt has had a high chance of scoring before! And before I get slated that I was a Sousa-hater, I only criticised his decisions to a) drop King and b)play Moreno in favour of Morrison. Those two change and look at the difference.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I said we would beat both the top two, 1-0 to us with Wellens scoring.

Lillehamring Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 not sure i share this optimism for scoring a bag load of goals, remember it took 23 attempts to get 2 goals, and then they were from midfield. not saying it's impossible, but i have a feeling this will be a 0-0 draw. yes we are playing well and breaking the not-winning duck has been crucial, but i think we'll see QPR reacting to this and keeping it tight and cautious at the back.
caz05 Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 You can't drop Oakley after his performance the other night.... and we should play the same starting 11 too, no need to change a winning team, make them fight for their places
Karljohn Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 2-0, Waggy brace, clean sheet and Colin willy puller sent to the stands. No need to change the side but would like to see Moussa get half an hour if we're looking comfortable.
Salieri Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Going to be a very tough game, Q.P.R are on fire at the moment. Draw most likely result i reckon. It'll be 2-2 and a very entertaining game, King will score of course and Waggy will open his account.
Guest ttfn Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I suspect I may be in the minority of having seen QPR play this season. I went to the game against S****horpe, which Rangers won 2-0. I think it is important to caveat whatever follows with the fact that the performance by S****horpe was beyond abysmal: I have no idea how they have any points this season, let alone how they can win 4-0 away at Sheff U. Anyway, they play a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Taarabt nominally in the position at the centre of the three with Mackie and somebody else (Ephraim?) playing on the wings and Helguson up top. Taarabt has developed a 'common sense' side to his game over the summer so it seems. Last season he was over-indulgent and rarely released this ball. Against S****horpe, for all his tricks and flicks his most impressive attribute was his range of passing. I think we're going to have to sacrifice a midfielder to follow Taarabt around, and go man-to-man with him. As he can pop up anywhere, this is going to involve a lot of discipline and a lot of running, so not really sure who would fit the bill. I think where we may have a shout on Saturday is that they'll be missing Faurlin, who went off injured yesterday. Buszaky, who is likely to replace him, is clearly an excellent footballer at this level, but with him and Taarabt in the same team I suspect King may get a bit of space in midfield , which could prove crucial. Anyway, heart says 1-0 City, head says 1-1.
C-man Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I'll take a point now. They're in unbelievable form.
Corky Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Much happier after the win last night, but QPR are in fantastic form and I fear they will be too strong for us. 0-2.
MC Prussian Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I think we will beat them. The tides have turned, our players have gotten into that Sousa system, are more confident in their respective roles and we've actually won a game! If the strikers finally manage to convert more of those chances that we create and we somehow manage to use the set-pieces more positively (e.g. being more threatening in the opposing box), QPR are the next ones to fall for the Foxes. Besides, every winning run has come to an end at one point. And ours has only started. This Saturday, 3-1 to Leicester.
Ashley Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I'm confident going into this game, QPR were smashing everyone at the start of last sesson, we played them, beat them look where they finished. QPR fixture wise have had an easy start. 2-0 Leicester, Waghorn & King.
dandannieldanok Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I'm optimistic, we're definitely good enough to win but................. I'll take a point now. They're in unbelievable form. .........I agree with this ^. QPR are flying, their confidence must be unbelievably high. Dangerous game for us and a point would be more progress.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 We wont lose. Warnock has never won at the Walkers. 2002/03 - City 0-0 Sheff Utd 2004/05 - City 3-2 Sheff Utd 2005/06 - City 4-2 Sheff Utd 2007/08 - City 1-0 Crystal Palace 2009/10 - City 2-0 Crystal Palace 2009/10 - City 4-0 QPR Think they are all the results. Expect at least a point on Saturday.
Bob Farley Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I'll take a point now. They're in unbelievable form. Wise.

Expect at least a point on Saturday. There's a 0-0 FA Cup draw in there too. Still, records are made to be broken so that doesn't convince me. Also I'm terrified of Leon Clarke. I know he's a bag of shit and probably won't start but he somehow always finds the net against us.
