Asha Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Incredible how everyone has suddenly decided we're going to dick everybody after one good result. Nevertheless, play like we did against Cardiff and we've got a shot. QPR though will be a lot stronger than Cardiff in my opinion so I can't really see us 'pasting them'. I'm going for 1-1 draw, maybe Waghorn to bag.

Fox92 Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 We should be confident after beating a good side in Cardiff and if we play the way we did, ecspecially in the second half then we should proved a test for QPR. However, they are a very good side and I don't fear the worst, but they will prove a real hard test for us, and maybe be too strong. Leicester City 2-3 Queens Park Rangers with Waghorn and King scoring. Hope we don't sing about Warnock mainly because he's a good character for the game and he'll most probably have the last laugh.
easilee Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 This is what you're up against;- http://news.bbc.co.u...v_1/9003205.stm But Ipswich looked like they were a load of shite from that clip, practically giving you the goals. This is what you're up against. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mmgr4ehOAdQ&feature=player_embedded

Stig the Lawnmower Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 I've voted for a win, forever the optimist!!! but i would think that it will be the toughest game so far. As much as we all hate Warnock, winding up the oposing fans and winging at every opportunity, he is a good manager. If we win on saturday I can see us starting to fly up the league. keep the same team to start. up the city!!! lets hope we can sing 'Warnock, Warnock whats the score, Warnock whats the score!' I'd piss myself
mancunianfox Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Genuine ROFL!!! Taarabt does something like that every 5 minutes. Even when he is asleep. Weren't QPR on a really good run last season until we beat them at Loftus Road? I seem to remember things going all wrong for them after that. Don't get me wrong though I think QPR are a good side and Warnock has put together a team with a lot of championship experience and I think that will be the difference for them this season. However, the game on Saturday will be an interesting test for both teams. It gives QPR a chance to assess how much they have improved since last term as we took six points off them last season and scored six goals. QPR are of course favourates but it is a good chance for City to assess how successful Sousa's style is likely to be. I have a feeling that we will continue to dominate possession but again we will continue to make mistakes. We can't afford to do this and if we do, we will concede as I don't see QPR wasting their chances. I'm going for 2-2 and even then I think thats slightly optimistic.

Thing is, you really can't compare with last season. By my reckoning we will only have TWO or THREE players starting that played you last year - Taarabt and Gorkss, possibly Ephraim. The rest were not even at the club! And we now have a new chairman and a new, bloody good manager with new ideas, and a whole new team ethos. No, forget last year - it's literally a totally different side you're playing on Saturday.
z-layrex Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 I won't be too upset if we lost to QPR they really have such a great team this year. Just as long as we put up a fight anyway.
easilee Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Genuine ROFL!!! Taarabt does something like that every 5 minutes. The fook he does. Taarabt has only 2 goals and they are from pens. Anyway it's gonna be a good match and your lot seem to agree that if your gonna lose to anyone it'll be us. when will qpr lose?
Joe. Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 QPR fans make me laugh. A few good results and they're suddenly god's gift to the Football League. It'll be funny to see their inevitable slide down the table. Of course Taarabt is a superb player to have at Championship level, but we all know how inconsistent he is. I'm more worried about fucking Leon Clarke if he plays (which he probably won't) given that the bastard seems to score against us every time he plays us. Before we played them last season at their place they'd won their previous three matches, scoring 12 altogether. Then we won. And then we did it again at the Walkers with ease. After the start they've had it's obviously going to be our biggest test of the season, but at home I feel we're a match for any side on our day. Play as we did on Tuesday night and there's every chance we'll win the game. You can get as cocky as you want about your team's start QPR fans, but at the end of the day there are 40 league matches left of the season and this is the Championship.
THE MAGICIAN Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 WE WILL WIN THIS GAME 4-0 Up the city.........
dandannieldanok Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 QPR may have had a brilliant start to the season, but they did get dicked over by a dreadful Derby team for 90 minutes, who went on to gift Rangers a point. They're hardly as invincible as their fans seem to be making out.
Guest Gist Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Yes QPR have a good squad and a manager that knows the division but they shouldn't get carried away just yet. I fancy an entertaining draw for this one with plenty of chances for both teams.
North-LondonFox Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 It's going to be tough vs the rangers but should be a cracking game because they like to get it down and play as well. I love the fact that we can call ourselves a footballing side now - I really hope Sousa can get us playing good stuff and winning!
Guest BlueBrett Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Taraabt is a bit of a worry but we are a better side than QPR. In fact I really think we are just about the best team in the league There isn't a side in the championsip that I look at and think we can't beat at home or away

martyn Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Agree with Joe, the arrogance pervading through those QPR fans' posts is staggering. You've had a good start to the season, well done, but this league is played over 46 games. There is no way a player as limited as Jamie Mackie can continue his form thoughout the entire season. As people have rightly pointed out, every Tom, Dick and Harry were creaming themselves over QPR last season after going on a good run at the start. We promptly turned up, ran the show at Loftus Road and made QPR look second rate. Of course, QPR might be a different side this year, but to completely write off Leicester, as the home side, and after such a great performance against prime promotion candidates is ridiculous.

That was kind of my point though. I wasn't comparing anything to last season, only that you were on a good run until we beat you which is similar to how you come into this game (albeit as the visitors this time). If you lose though it would indicate that you perhaps hadn't improved as much as we all think that you have

Isn't he the same manager who was in charge when we won 4-0 last season
mancunianfox Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Isn't he the same manager who was in charge when we won 4-0 last season No, I think that was his twin brother Colin.
Mack Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Much as I agree that the QPR fans are getting carried away you need to be realistic ahead of this game. We cant expect a midfielder to keep scoring the goals and until we get our play in the final third sorted out we should not be getting carried away on the back of a win against a severely depleted Cardiff side. Optimistic draw for me.
Joe. Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Good old OptaJoe. OptaJoe 6 - Jamie Mackie has scored six goals from just seven shots on target in Championship matches this season for QPR. Cockahoop.
C-man Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Good old OptaJoe. Meh, that doesn't mean anything. Richie Wellens has scored 3 goals from 3 shots on target since he's been at Leicester. He's still gash at shooting.
