stivesfox Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Uninterested, poor!!! When will people realise this guy does not want to be here, he does not fit into the style of football we play, good servant we have moved up a gear in our style. Fryatt most loved over rated player watching him today was out of his depth and clearly does not want to play for LCFC frankly disappointed Sousa took dyer off that number 12 should have been taken off. Stevie Howard for me ahead of Fryatt commitment and a want to do something. The Fryatt bum boys still love him many of west stand thought he was crap Hull City please call!!!
milan_foxes Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 I'm not the biggest Fryatt fan but today I thought he had a very good game. Do remember, he's playing up-top on his own against the league leaders. He worked his socks off and tried for every loose ball and every header. Yes he didn't win much, but it was the effort that was there that maade him shine for me.
bigneville Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 The reason Howard looked more of a threat than Fryatt today is because of the type of service. Everytime we hit the ball towards Fryatt today, it was in the air. Something Howard wants and not Fryatt. Give Matty service on the floor and he is good enough at this level.
stivesfox Posted 18 September 2010 Author Posted 18 September 2010 He isn't good enough he had some service first half, his whole body language was a player either not good enough or not interested!!
acooling08 Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 How do you expect him to win headers from constant long balls against defenders 3 or 4 inches taller than him? & I disagree. Thought he tried, just couldn't do anything with the infrequent and poor service.

He didn't even try and challenge for headers, like feet didn't even get off the ground. He took far too many touches as usual. Running a lot is not working your socks off. Poor game
Wdywd Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 He wasn't particularly good, but fook me he got terrible service. Iklolme just blasting balls aimlessly forward for him to try to do something with barely qualifies as 'service' tbh.

Poor game Firstly im no Fryatt bum boy, but i thought he tried and worked his socks off all game, maybe lacking match sharpness but that will come with games. Be realistic now, how on earth do you expect Fryatt to win hearders as someone said against defenders 3-4 inches taller, and im pretty sure that every time the ball was in the air he tried to win it.

I do agree, he wasn't given the service and Fryatt as a loan striker just doesn't work but trust me, he definitely didn't go for a lot of headers, on a few occasions not even jumping for them, which I don't care how tall you are, you bloody jump and try at least put pressure on the defender. He just frustrates me as he gets in to good positions but wants too many touches and keeps his head down and dribbles in to danger. I don't know what people define as working socks off, but for me, look at Waggy, he worked his socks off without having a good game, Fryatt just didn't have a good game.
stivesfox Posted 18 September 2010 Author Posted 18 September 2010 Fryatt has certainly got a core of supporters, even Stevie wonder would work out this guy is shit, yes scored goals but give Lee jobber (sorry Lee) the chances he would score does Fryatt pay supporters to support him or do we feel sorry for him! My last word on this lazy uncommitted and shit and yes I would say it to his face, him off the books and new Sousa type striker would embrace!

Was he lazy, uncommitted and shit for the last 2 seasons, and dont say he isnt proven in the championship,he was injured last season for months and was still top scorer,so no one knows how many he would have scored. You cant hoof the ball up to fryatt and expect him to head it (thats howards role) it is obvious that he is not properly match fit,and the only way he will be is to give him games (either starting or as a sub) What is it with so called fans, that whenever we lose they have to single out 1 player and give him shite. Fryatt was not the worst player on that pitch today,so give him a break. And no before you ask im not a fryatt bum boy
Wdywd Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Well if everyone else is getting paid then I want a slice of the action. M-Fry <3

Fair point, he works/plays a lot better when he plays off someonee.g. Howard, look at last season and the one before as examples. He really can't lead the line if that makes sense. I also agree that he is one hell of a frustrating p[layer like today when he took about 5 touches when one and a pass could have played Kingy in for maybe a goal, but we'll never know. For most of the game i recall he tried closing down and running for lost causes, but as people said he seemed uni-interested, maybe because the ball kept getting hoofed up to him from aimless Ikeme. You summed it up in your last 7 words.
orangecity23 Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Did Fryatt touch up stivesfox or something? Anyone would think Matty broke into his house and pissed in his corn flakes.
Wdywd Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Did Fryatt touch up stivesfox or something? Anyone would think Matty broke into his house and pissed in his corn flakes. Maybe he's DJ Campbell
Guest Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 God bless him, Fryatt's never won a header in his life I don't think and we lumped so many long balls up to him yesterday. Someone should've forewarned Ikeme really.
Karljohn Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 I rated him 4 yesterday, the gameplay exposed the part of his game that he is poor at, long balls lumped up to him and lack of pace. But that's Sousa's fault not Fryatt's, I am sure that many have noticed that Waggy hardly wins a header too, he was the same last season. Matty relies on good quality service from the likes of Wellens who was terrible yesterday, with 45 goals in half a championship, and a league one season you don't become a bad striker overnight, I do think he's carrying a little bit too much timber and do think he's lacking confidence maybe after the bad injury and the goals drying up. Am a big fan of Waggy but he's had 3 games without a goal too, its all down to Sousa, we just don't hurt teams, we don't know how to and the players aren't in their positions to do so in Waghorn's case. Now he has introduced Fryatt into the fray, I would give him the 2 Portsmouth games to confidence build against a leaky defence.
Jimmy Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 Fryatt isn't good enough and probably never will be but just like Hume as far as most are concerned he can do no wrong no matter how much his presence on the pitch leaves us unbalanced, if he was that great then our season would of fallen apart when he broke his jaw, it didn't, he is extremely selfish, NEVER looks to pass even when a shot totally isn't on and he has 2 team mates queueing for a pass with an easy shot, invariably losing possession, get rid and sign someone else. I said to the people I walk into town with after the game, we are just a striker short, it COULD be Waghorn it isn't Fryatt, but if Sousa drops the messiah the fans will want his blood and if, as we all seem to think, Fryatt does want out he should have the balls to say so publicly, be diplomatic if you want with "I want a fresh challenge" but be honest
Mack Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 If you were getting asked to play the role he is then got the kind of service he did you would be pissed off also.
Jimmy Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 he played that role most of last season as well and he didn't moan and lets face it, Pearson's side hit it long more often then we do now

FINALLY! Thank the Lord for FoxesFan100!
MC Prussian Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 I felt sorry for Fryatt yesterday. No one there to support him. The fate of a lone striker.
Stig the Lawnmower Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 matty's contribution yesterday was very poor, either because (a) he didn't get the service (although when he did get the ball he did nothing positive), (b) he was played out of the game by the opposition, or © he's crap. whichever it was, it was obvious mid way through the first half that it wasn't working and changes should have been made. I am beggining to doubt Paulo's tactical nouse. why were Dyer and waggy switched? I am not calling for his head, we need stability, but he needs to sort it out soon.
smudger63 Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 Fryatt is never going to be suited to playing up front on his own, so that was a mistake by sousa. That said, for me anyway, his body language is of someone with the raging hump, who just isn`t interested in playing for a manager, he probably doesn`t like or rate, sadly i`ve a feeling he isn`t on his own, and there are a few other of our players, with the same opinion! Sousa pretty much coming out and saying that campbell was his number one striker for the season, probably didn`t go down to well with fryatt either, possibly with some justification, given that we all know what a waste of space campbell had been to the club. From a supporters point of view though, i just want the players that are playing for my club, to play with the same passion for the club, as i have, regardless of what they think of the manager, and i don`t think that fryatt did that yesterday!

Christ almighty
