The I don't want Sousa out thread!

Sousa IN!

We are (mostly) playing good football and have been particularly unlucky.

The defence failings are not entirley down to Sousa, Hobbs ( A player i believe could be a future star) is out of form, is that PS fault? No, Hobbs has to take some responsibility, the same applies for Gally, Oakley, Morrison, et al.

Waghorn signed at 3 million is overated and is yet to become a player worth that money (i think he will in time, just not yet).

Its time the players stand up and take some of the heat!.......... if you arent capable of playing FOOTBALL, you know the game played by the quality teams, admit it and move on, dont sit around the dressing rooms grumbling. (not that i think that is neccessarily happening, but some here are saying it)

NP brought great success, but as UNlucky as we have been this (short) year.. we were on the receiving end of much very good luck last year, I dont think any of us expected promotion and most felt that playoffs wouldve been a huge result.

Had we got to the prem with NP and the hoofball we played, we wouldve been like blackpool, expecting to get hammered and relegated immediately. I believe that with the game that PS has us playing, when we get promotion, we will be a side worthy of the premiership, and playing football well enough to stay in it LONG TERM.

Sack him now and we will be doomed to (at best) midtable hoofball and mindless boring games.

Also..the racism expressed by some in this, and the Sousa out thread, is quite shameful, what makes you think that you know more about Football than those people? and even if you do.. it isnt because of where you were born.

Im leicester till i die........... Im leicester till i die

Sousa IN!

This entire post is utterly delusional.

Hobbs looked terrific under Pearson, wobbly under Sousa. What's changed? Oh, yes, it's the manager.

We haven't been unlucky, we've been shit. I don't remember our strikers spurning chance after chance, or an array of woeful refereeing decisions.

Also, people aren't being racist, they're being xenophobic. But the principles behind those thoughts are sound. Sousa doesn't know English football. At a top club you can get away with it because you can buy players in from all over. At City you can't get away with it because we're not a big enough draw to decent players and we don't have enough money anyway.

So... Hobbs can only play under NP?... what utter sh*t, I have huge respect for Hobbs, but HE isnt playing well.

If you seriously cannot remember any bad decisions or missed opportunities, perhaps you havent been paying attention, Kings goals, Sending off, missed penalties..a huge list in 8 games.. but, thats not an excuse, luck is part of the game, its just Karma from last year.

In the racist statement i was in the main referring to people having a go at the new owners, where they are stating the new owners dont understnd football, they are saying that because they are not from here.. that in my opinion is racism, however if you want to argue semantics, perhaps go to the" whats happened to our language" website.

One of the reasons we are not big enough, is because people arent prepared to make changes to become BIG, that means playing football and taking risks. Not just sacking every manager who doesnt win every game, championships and premierships dont happen over night.

Sousa has not demonstrated anything in his managerial career to suggest he will be successful.

People who are given time to build teams come on the back of sustained success. Ferguson ended Glasgow dominance in Scottish football and Wenger had a wealth of international experience.

Paulo Sousa's managerial stats: P86 W29 D32 L25. Hardly world beating. There is NO reason to believe things are going to get better.

As regards your point about Hobbs - just look at how much he improved under Pearson. It's not the man that effects this - it's the training he's given. Sousa's clearly ain't good enough.

Regarding "luck". Every team believes they are "unlucky". Two teams went in to the game bemoaning their bad luck so far this season, and each manager said that "someone was going to get it" soon. We got it, Pompey didn't. To me, that suggests that their claims about luck were certainly more valid than ours. We're just shit.

SORRY , but when p.e. was the lesson at school most on here were rubbing trees with paper and crayons ,BARK RUBBERS !!!!!!!!! no knowledge of football and no common sense, SOUSA is just not right for us. he was barged into the managers post by these so called asians and from the 1st minute until after last nights game has ruined everything we did last season . i am a season ticket holder who after last year could never in my wildest dreams have seen what i've seen as our future. just see whats there to see , it's right in front of your eyes .his all round decision making was awful last night (from team to substitutions)and showed him for what he is, crap.

I get the impression he has totally lost the players. I don't think he can pull this round (hope I'm wrong and eat these words).

I don't like his style or team selection.

I'd give him 5 more games.....max.

Just can't agree with you I'm afraid. I understand everything that is said about the need for stability and the earlier post displaying all the managers we have had over the past few years tells its own story I guess. HOWEVER it is blatantly clear that Sousa does not know what he is doing AND more importantly, neither do the players. Players don't become bad overnight...why is Morrison off form, and Hobbs? last season under Pearson me and my mates were watching Hobbs and all saying this man is gonna play for England...this season is but a shadow of his former self..the reason? Sousa.... players play for managers which is why Jamie Mackie can suddenly become superb for Warnock and Iwelumo begin to shine for Brian Laws.

What is clear is that our players are confused with our tactics, our formations and the fact that they are being subbed for no obvious reason (why was Hobbs on the Bench last night?)

In my opinion we have the players....Wellens, Hobbs, Waggy are good enough at this level...but they need to be managed by a man with tactical nouse, discipline and motivational skills - Sousa must go or I fear we are gonna really struggle - the next few games will be tough, not easy

Sousa Out..........

Gonna look great on Sousa's CV when it reads that he took us from bottom to promotion :)

A sure-fire odds-on favourite for 'Optimist of the Year'....

Not sure what to think tbh, i was all for giving him time but after last night i dont think the players want to play for him. Why leave 3 of your best players on the bench, Wellens, Hobbs, Fryatt and playing waghorn on the right. The performance last night was a disgrace but i feel he has already lost the dressing room

Posted

Total disgrace, victory against Cardiff reserves may have been a half decent performance but the rest has been total dross. No tactical awareness, poor positioning, a lack of drive (partly due to inadequate fitness programmes, I am sure). Pearson was always more than a long ball merchant - the Huddersfield public considered City the best passing team they'd seen in years (October 2008). He had players that could play a variety of styles, were well prepared, totally committed and full of belief - I'm afraid Paulo well never turn this around. Mandaric probably has more to answer for - did he really 'save' our club? We are now on Manager No. 8 and have frankly become a bit of a laughing stock.

if he stays he has got to play a 442 formation in te next game, te amount of times howard won the header but no one on the end of it ia bad. personally i think he as lost the plot and it cannot go on much longer

Sousa Out..........

hold on no one complained just the other day when wellins and hobbs was on the bench.. against teh same team btw.. which we beat.. we dont even no why they wasnt in the team. whos to say they wasnt 100% fit.. or that he thought the team would be good enough again to beat them.. a couple of rushes of blood moments last night set the game up for how it went.. morrison handballing it and vitor bringin him down. neither was sousas fault.. then the red card shouldnt have been a red and so we are down to 10 men which makes the game a whole new ball game...

players have dips in performance. rooney went through one recently, was sir alex blamed for it?? no..

people just seem to be finding the worst in things and blaming it all on sousa. even rubbish rumour talking about trasfer requests and hes lost the dressing room escalate things as people believe it and start being more negative etc..
