Yeah I would have made some different decisions if I was the manager, then again I don't always agree with SAF or Capello so what do I know? lol

True, true! i do agree with some of your points i am a big advocate of giving managers time but i just don't know what to think tonight

I believe in him. I believe in the proper way to play football. I want to out play the opposition & I want to win. It does not have to be pretty!

I want Leicester to be topof the league because they beat teams because they are a better football team not because they have the ability to pick up results which they were fortunate to do so.

I see this under Sousa, thats it.

+1..

last season we had the momemtum from the promotion. along with some ground out results we did well.. however had we got promoted we couldnt have carried that off in the premiership imo and so would have been straight back down..

given more time (still feel we need couple more players also ) i feel under sousa we will get a squad playing well enough to not only win in this league but to progress on to the premiership and not come straight back down...

Yes i agree with you there about playing football but where not winning matches and it doesnt look like its about to change anytime soon which worrries me i feel we need a more ruthless manager who gets the players rallied up it seems the players dont want to play for him i didnt see him once leave his seat in the dugout tonite

Your angry after a thrashing.

Shouting on the touchline get as many results as our slogans of the mid 2000's did.

Damn right I'm angry but at the same time I would've been happy to see Sousa gone before the season even kicked off.

This isn't just about results, the whole feeling since he's taken over just isn't right. The dodgy signings, the lack of proper fitness training, the deluded interviews, the lack of orders, the lack of respect from players, the constant shuffling of the squad, the unorganised game plans, the list goes on.

I want us to be playing pretty football and winning games yeah, but football ultimately is about picking up points and going through the league system until you are stabilised in the top half of the Premiership and can afford the better players who can play attractive football. I hate the way Stoke play football but they have done the right thing, i would much rather have that then be sat 2nd bottom of the Championship after losing 6-1 against the only team not to have won in the English Football league, a side that only scored twice in 6 games before tonight.

His post match interview nailed it for me. If he is proud of them players, they will think it is alright to put in performances like that. If i underperform for 10mins at work i get a bollocking, i get paid in a year what these players earn in a week or two. To then say the players feel it more than the fans, that contradicts himself, what are they feeling if they played so well??

I remember the Cardiff game.

This is how potentially we can play under this man.

And for that alone I am willing to give him more time, but something needs to click soon.

I remember the Cardiff game.

That was the game were we played crap for 45 minutes, went behind thanks to a freak goal/cross and only decided to show up for the second half because some players felt like paying Cardiff back for what they did to us in last season's playoffs.

That was about the only time I've seen them players bothered. That and Coventry away.

No one actually knows though, & I am glad I don't as football would be boring & overly predictable.

I really would love it to turn out well for PS. There are things about the way we have played this season that really worry me, & its not just the defence. I am not goign to call 4 PS to be gone so soon.

We all know how good we are, we are a top 10 side tonight every bloody thing went against us :( That is not his fault!

I can only blame PS for what he is in control of & he is not in cotrol of teh official or Morissons decision making, if we could have changed just those things tonight the result would have been in the balence.

11 vs 11 & No daft defending = not a 6 vs 1 result!

So you wanted him gone before a ball was kicked, but all of the things you just listed you could not have known about pre season. Except for the interviews and fitness training, one of which turns out to be shite because there is nothing wrong with fitness.

PS himself did say they were tired for the QPR game.

I agree, getting rid of NP the way we did showed that some people have no class at LCFC. NP did a great job & we did very well last season!

But the blame for getting rid of NP does not lie at PS door! He is here to do the best job he can for LCFC. I think he has a different grasp of how the game should be played & I respect that I thonk we all do, it desperately needs to bear fruit on the pitch as results are paramount!!!!!!!!!

I rekon he has 4 or 5 games, the situation is not as bad as tonight seems, everything went against us & the defensive display was a horror show. He needs to sort that before anything else.

When will people understand he has lost the dressing room? Players do not want to play under him. :banghead:

This - it's history repeating itself, the rot has set in already...

Yep, promising us promotion within two years was idiotic for starters, random foreign players on trial and signing ala Martin Allen era and the whole unorganised feel to the once well disciplined organisation Pearson had built a reputation for.

The persistent cramps at 70 minutes? That's not right for a professional footballer.

Like I said before when Paul Gallagher came out pre season and said he was enjoying it because they weren't running, alarm bells start ringing. On top of that the Swansea fans warned us about the fitness regimes and everything they've said has come true.

I've heard about 25 managers use the same excuse this season after a loss. Tiredness had nothing to do with that result, it had everything to do with being unable to create goal scoring opportunities. The players didn't look tired to me and have looked fine fitness wise, taking the game to quite a few teams until the 90th minute.

You're comments are little more than an admission of prejudice.

Surely the acceptablity of our position is due to the % of the season that we are currently through. O'Neil had 10 games left, we have only played a few. There is plenty of time to get tings right, if we were in April I would be extremely disapointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sort of agree mate but its like a hangover, the whole Peter Taylor Wycombe thing started a 13 game run of defeats and draws, the hangover from that season began 0-5 Bolton, 0-4 Arsenal and Taylor fired after 8 games.

The play off defeat is similar, bit of a downward spiral after coming so close, lads can't seem to pick their heads up and this guy doesn't know how to, he's talked himself up, Premier league within 2 years and someone's going to get thrashed in today's merc! yep! its you Paolo! 6 fooking 1!

I understand what your saying about accepting we are 23rd and its only 8 games but you rarely get a team start so badly and pick up sufficiently enough to mount some sort of challenge, the heads go down and your beat before you kick off when the defeats start to pile up.its clear he didn't learn anything from Tuesday nights win, its not as if Portsmouth can shuffle the pack much either to keep him guessing.

The only thing I can see that will save him is loaning in some experience at the back, aside from his BNP rant we could do with a Wayne Brown type to knit things together.

Only Martin O'Neill can sort this mess, but tbf - today is not only Sousa's fault. We're officially the unluckiest team in the entire European league system.

Agree.

The most unluckiest, but also can't score goals or keep clean sheets.

Gallaghers comments were made a few days into training, people have absolutely no idea what training went on after that. Their fitness has looked absolutely fine to me. I've seen 4 of the 8 league games this year and not seen one player suffering with cramp. The only time i've ever heard it mentioned is by stringer on the radio, who has been wanking himself silly since the start of the season about sports science for no good reason.

Dodgy foreign signings who had been on trial... errrr Pearson/Kermoshit. Pearson/Verma (not foreign but still shit)

I'll agree with you on the two year comment.

True, but events went against us with the Handball (WTF Moro) sending off, Disallowed goal = game was effectively oevr

Yes the centre backs look under strength, Hobbs was awesome vs QPR, I was suprised to see him on the bench tonight, I hope Tunch can make a recovery soon, last i heard he was back in training at the end of this month???

There's nothing unlucky about our defending, it was shambolic. Stop clinging onto the luck factor, we didn't have much luck last season and we reached the playoffs.

2 year thing was a bad comment. I have not seen no where near enough to suggest to me that Moreno, Lamey, Abe, Vitor are poor players! Abe looks bright as does Vitor. Moreno shows some good signs & LAmey has had 1.5 games, but lets remember he not too long ago played for Holland & PSV Eindhoven, surely he must be SOME good?

I agree on the fitness too, the only thing I put down to poor fitness was Morisson when Mackie strolled past him last week in the 87th minute.

Heaven forbid that football at City should ever become boring & overly predictable. Yea you must be right, let's keep Sousa to prevent that happening.

Sousa was the best manager on paper we could have got last season, took Swansea on a shoestring budget to the brink of a playoff place.

The only other was O'Driscoll from Donny, or gambling on League1 or lower or a manager who has been in the wilderness.

Just got to believe we can win at Norwich, win those home games then win at Leeds again, it's possible.
