Personally, I thought he took a dive and realised it as he was doing it, hauling himself up pretty much straight away. Would have been an incredibly soft penalty in my opinion, certainly one that everyone would have moaned at had it been the other way around. If you're talking about the one by the Kop at 2-1, then no way was that a penalty, he threw himself over the defender's leg. That said, the ref was shocking again, lots of decisions wrong both ways.

There have been plenty of cases like that where spot-kicks have been given (usually in our penalty area..) The ref and both linesmen were woefully poor yesterday - not that it mattered in the end, though.

He cant kick, his positioning is questionable, and I cant see how he is better than Logan or Weale.

Seemed to make a few saves in the Norwich game if Stringer is accurate in his commentary, but I didn't go so I don't know. Anyway, the guy is a bombscare in goal, needs to be got rid of.
Guest ttfn Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 Ikeme made some good catches on Saturday. As for his kicking, it wasn't always accurate but it fitted in with our gameplan perfectly. It got the ball a long way down the field as quickly as possible. I don't think Ikeme's conceded a single goal that's been his fault since he's been here.

His catching isn;t too bad but I wish he was quicker releasing the ball.
