Thailand v LCFC Won 2-0

It was a FIFA sanctioned game, and because his red card was for violent conduct it meant he wasn't able to be picked.

It's not that he was banned for this game & therefore taking up one of his matches, it's just that he was ineligible for selection.

Answer to others

Dyer & Vitor suffered a knock in training and weren't worth risking.

On the plus side, this game does mean that Fryatt will only be banned for one more league game instead of two.

Good result in tough conditions and the best way to start Sven's reign, no matter what the opposition.

Lovely finishes from Waggy and Gallagher as well.

Re Fryatt - not according to cc_star's explanation.

I should read threads more. :)

I didn't follow the game. Honestly, I didn't care about it enough to get up and follow it, but I'm glad the squad and the coaching staff didn't share my attitude.

Surely if bans stopped players playing in friendlies, then players who got sent off last game of the season would miss all of pre-season and then the first few league games too. If it's because it's a FIFA sanctioned game, then how come domestic bans don't also count for international matches?

Shirt with Singha

Talk about raking the money in from advertising....

That looks awful with the Singha logo.

I must admit we looked very confident and comfortable today, seemes to push forward more unliek the sousa erra.....

Im sure fryatts missing today will count towards his 3 match suspension as other clubs do it

If a player got sent-off on the last day of the season, his suspension wouldn't start until a day before the season begins. Don't know on the other question.

It won't, banned from all first-team games but only competitive games count.

Surely that won't be allowed in league/cup games?

Hopefully they will put it on the back like with Jessops last year.

classy finish from Waghorn, especially considering he is left footed and good finish again from Gallagher...

Poor goalkeeper though it has to be said...

he couldn't have done much about gallaghers, and he made some great stops, i thought he kept them in it.

One thing that sticks out for me, we haven't really heard much from the new owners maybe because they don't speak much English but with Sven arriving last week and this tour and the way they have handled it and the way the players have been treated to me shows these guys are for real! they seem to have money, power and influence in Thailand and mean business in what they want to achieve.

lets just hope they don't forget the club is about the fans and the people of and around Leicester first

the best one was getting saturday traffic in Bangkok stopped to allow the lcfc motorcade to get to the stadium unhindered :D

watched the game on the live stream. did any body notice that when we scored the celebrations were very muted. was this a courtesy thing to fit in with thai culture, i.e. don't offend your hosts?

I watched using a stream but muted it and listened to BBC Leics. Seems a bit strange if that's the case though.

I'm assuming you mean friendlies abroad?

No, are you sure you aren't confused? The players celebrated no different to what they did at Rotherham, Oxford or Sunderland in pre season, very muted. Their is nothing at stake in any friendly why would they go wild.
