milsey Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Lloyd Dyer. Hands up...........................u got me!!!! still think we should of kept him tho.
Geordie Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Lloyd Dyer. That's like say Skol is better than Kestrel lager. Both shocking.
Finnegan Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Lloyd Dyer. Plus DNG. I feel I must have missed a couple of games when he war awful. Not saying he's always amazing but I don't think I've seen him be shit. Seems to get slated on here.
dogadug Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Get rid of the whole team I'd say apart from Howard, Waghorn, Moussa, Berner and Hobbs I don't think you've gone far enough, we should get rid of Berner as well, infact why don't we just get rid of the whole team
Ric Flair Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Plus DNG. I feel I must have missed a couple of games when he war awful. N'Guessan is alright in my opinion. has it in his locker to win us matches hands down, but doesn't show it as often as he should. hence why he's at Leicester and not at a better club. I'm interested to see how he plays under Sven, could be useful. Rather have him in the side right now than having to play Oakley, Abe or Gallagher out wide.
CosbehFox Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 I am all too aware that this isn't a computer simulation, but I don't rate any of those players so would like to see them out the door. If we could clear half of them in January I'd be happy. To be fair there are probably a couple of decent blokes in there who will go off on loan because they want to play rather than sit on their arse and claim free money. I wouldn't be suprised to see some free transfers either just to get them out and off the wage bill. Reality and wants are two things. It's completely unrealistic to suggest we could get rid of double figures of playing staff in a such short space of time. We know how long it took to get rid of Taylor/Adams castoffs and then Allen/Holloways castoffs.
Petchy Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Abe... FFS when are people going to get a grip and give people a chance. The guy has just moved half way around the world, to a strange county where he will only have contact with one or two people who can speak his language. He's also most probably living in a hotel and away from his family. He's only been here a couple of months and he's already on his second manager, he's had extremely limited game time (mostly out of position) . Taking all these things into account, why the hell do people expect him to be amazing instantly. He might turn out to be as useful as a slug in a salt factory, but can we at least let the guy get use to his surroundings, learn the language a bit, play in his natural position, get use to his new manager and get a few more minutes under his belt (whether in the reserves or first team should be be chosen) before we pack his bags and send him back. The usual "he's a professional" line will be trotted out no doubt, so fecking what. I'm a pro in my job but i'd probably struggle for a while if someone picked me out of my comfort zone and expected me to do my job in bloody Japan.
SMX11 Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 I would have Abe over Oakley anyday. We need to start fazing out the older players, Oakley and Berner need to be released/sold at the end of the season, no matter how fit they are their roles require mobility which they lack. Sven clearly sees that there is very little pace within the team hence the loan signings.
Chris Powell Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Neilson Fryatt Lamey Oakley Howard All need to go if we want to go up

Sounds like he needs time to properly acclimatise before he gets a first team place in a relegation battle. Oh, sorry, i've said that before and had people yell "bollocks" in my ear!
Donut Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Logan- Isnt a championship backup keeper, and im sure Svens got his eye on someone Neilson- Never been effective since hes been here and isnt in the calibre of a Naughton if this is who Sven wants Moreno- Dont rate him at all. Poor Signing Lamey- For the same reasons as Neilson. Extremely technically poor. Gallagher- OK, controverisal one, but for me he can go. Im sick of his fancy dan personality on the pitch, his general lack of quality even though somewhere in him he has some ability, he produces very little, i think he clearly thinks he is a better player than he actually is, which is a very average white booted fancy dan N'Guessan- I dont think hes living up to what i feel was some early promise Fryatt- OK, another controversial one, but i think he will go, not that he isnt quality, but something hasnt been right with him all season.

'I don't want these players they are rubbish lets just tell them to go away. I'm bored. Why aren't we in the Champions League yet? I want a new manager. WAH!' What world are you living in? You seriously think that it would be good just to let all these players go? And who do want to replace them with? Messi? Ronaldo? It aint gonna happen mate! We are a championship club and will attract Championship quality players. Especially when we are 4th bottom. You have to accept that we are not a Premiership team. There are in fact plenty of players there who have proven they can cut it in this level. Sousa has completely fooked up our season and now we have to rebuild the confidence, not start the team from scratch. I must once again reiterate the question - what world are you living in? Cos it certainly aint the real one!
Kitchandro Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 I think we could get rid of: Neilson Lamey Kennedy Moreno Oakley N'Guessan Logan because of one mistake? He is a decent reserve keeper. Why bother? Not really a massive issue

Kitchandro Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Wellens - one of our key players. Ridiculous to suggest he should go. Dyer - We have very little pace in the team and you want rid of Dyer? He's been a standout performer this season. Again, ridiculous to suggest he should go. Fryatt - our best goal threat. He hasn't been up to much this season but how many games has he had? He's not been given much of a chance. Stay. Morrison - He still has a future I think. Probably not in the first team but I think he's good back up at right back. Stay. Howard - Is a hero around these parts and though he may not have many years left in him, he can still cut it at the moment. Always gives 100% and deserves his shirt. Stay. Gallagher - Like Fryatt, not performed well this season but in the cup games (the only ones he's really started) he's looked pretty good. And he has the ability to change a game which very few of our players do. He created the equaliser at Coventry. By the end of last season he was a regular in a side performing very well. I know he can be frustrating but I'm convinced he'll come good when he's fit, which he is not. Like Fryatt, and Wellens, he will always be slated by some because he is not quick. Waghorn on the other hand has had some shockers this season but will always be given another chance because he is quick. Pace blinds people sometimes. It's not everything. The Gallagher haters do not seem to appreciate the exciting, charismatic side of football. People seem to be getting confused here, a lot of this thread is impulsive bullshit. Panicking and getting rid of large numbers of players because you are not doing too well is not how management works. Sven, if he is a good manager, will get rid of the deadwood that isn't good enough - players like Neilson and Lamey who aren't up to it. He will keep our better players and then try to strengthen the gaps left by the departed with quality signings. If he is a shit manager he will do as Geordie suggests and get rid of about 20 players because he is mardy that we are not in the play-offs.
Jakemoore Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Logan Neilson Morrison Wellens Dyer Oakley Fryatt Howard N'Guessan Lamey Moreno Gallagher Kennedy I don't care what we did last season, the momentum from cake walking the division below has gone and we are where we deserve to be with the players we have got. Not one of the players above has achieved anything at this level (Howard and Oakley apart who Derby were only too happy to offload 3 years ago) to suggest they can do it again. Like George and David are doing cut deep and hard to resolve the issues. Well done on not including Cricnic, he looks incredible.
Jakemoore Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Well done on not including Cricnic, he looks incredible. Ooh, and don't go in to management because you'd fail. You do realise that you have included our best players in that lot? Fryatt-stay, Howard-stay whilst we're in this league, Wellens-vital, stay. Oakley-good for now. Kennedy-give him a chance jheeze. Gallagher-don't care what happens to him. N'Guessan-tough one. Everyone else, pack your bags please.....
