Tommy G Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 neilson, lamey, moreno, morrison, Abe, because they have not got a clue how to play english football Get rid of your mum I agree with Neilson and Lamey. Add Conrad to that list aswell
milsey Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 LOGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGAN!!!!!! Oh and Lameys shite too, cant believe he cost me £17million on champ manager!
MikeyT Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 neilson, lamey, moreno, morrison, Abe, because they have not got a clue how to play english football Abe hasn't really been given a chance properly yet. First game he started last night, plus it must be difficult for him as he doesn't speak English. And he's a Japanese International, he can't be that bad.
MPH Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 In the post match thread, those who went to the game are saying that Abe had a good game...was one of the better performers.
Babylon Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Abe... FFS when are people going to get a grip and give people a chance. The guy has just moved half way around the world, to a strange county where he will only have contact with one or two people who can speak his language. He's also most probably living in a hotel and away from his family. He's only been here a couple of months and he's already on his second manager, he's had extremely limited game time (mostly out of position) . Taking all these things into account, why the hell do people expect him to be amazing instantly. He might turn out to be as useful as a slug in a salt factory, but can we at least let the guy get use to his surroundings, learn the language a bit, play in his natural position, get use to his new manager and get a few more minutes under his belt (whether in the reserves or first team should be be chosen) before we pack his bags and send him back. The usual "he's a professional" line will be trotted out no doubt, so fecking what. I'm a pro in my job but i'd probably struggle for a while if someone picked me out of my comfort zone and expected me to do my job in bloody Japan.

cc_star Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Abe did well last night, he's only been brought on as sub out of position. Lamey is the worst player I've ever seen, but the rest have merit in a squad except Moreno... Basically anything to do with Sousa is shite also, getting rid of 10 players or whatever and replacing with the 10 other players a sure fire way to get relegated
Geordie Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Logan Neilson Morrison Wellens Dyer Oakley Fryatt Howard N'Guessan Lamey Moreno Gallagher Kennedy I don't care what we did last season, the momentum from cake walking the division below has gone and we are where we deserve to be with the players we have got. Not one of the players above has achieved anything at this level (Howard and Oakley apart who Derby were only too happy to offload 3 years ago) to suggest they can do it again. Like George and David are doing cut deep and hard to resolve the issues.

The Sousa signings, Vitor, Moussa and Abe plus Andy King.
Aeropars Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Get rid of my pubes. I have a right old bushra going on.
milsey Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 We should of never got rid of Gradel............quality impact player!!!
Babylon Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 We should of never got rid of Gradel............quality impact player!!! Not exactly pulling up Trees at Leeds is he. I feel like dragging up the old posts of people who said that Grayson was only leaving him on the bench in league one to keep his value down. Suppose he's still doing that now as well

The man was picked in the starting XI of EVERY Japan game in the World Cup, has amassed over 50 caps for his country and can hit a vicious free-kick. When he gets it right, he'll be Premiership quality. This demand for instant gratification among some fans really, really irks me.
Ric Flair Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Well said Babylon. The club should get rid of whoever our manager thinks isn't up to it, he is far more equipped than any of us to decide. I expect there to be a number of departures however.
Corky Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Give Abe a chance to settle in and play in his proper position. He did last night, and I thought he looked comfortable.

Like George and David are doing cut deep and hard to resolve the issues. How are we going to get rid of these players? In reality, football doesn't work like Football Manager. Morrison, Dyer, Howard and Fryatt have fairly recently signed new contracts. 3 of the players mentioned have just signed and then you have the likes of Neilson whose brought his family down from Scotland to live here. They will all reject moves unless there is a major boost to their wages and that's if a club puts a bid in for a under performing player. I'll state again that our squad's previous experience at this level is virtual nil and it's showing.
Wymsey Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Get rid of the whole team I'd say apart from Howard, Waghorn, Moussa, Berner and Hobbs

I am all too aware that this isn't a computer simulation, but I don't rate any of those players so would like to see them out the door. If we could clear half of them in January I'd be happy. To be fair there are probably a couple of decent blokes in there who will go off on loan because they want to play rather than sit on their arse and claim free money. I wouldn't be suprised to see some free transfers either just to get them out and off the wage bill.
ajthefox Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 I can't believe people actually think getting rid of half our squad and replacing it is a sensible idea. For starters, it would be very difficult to get rid of several players. You can't just cut someones contract for nothing and despite having the thai backing, I doubt we could afford to. Plus, there is getting in players, probably the easier task of the two but not exactly easy either. And then, the most important point of all is that it would'nt even work. You can't just bring in quality players and expect them to get us winning in the blink of an eye. Two of the most important parts of a team are it's confidence and chemistry. Last season shows that. We had a pretty regular starting 11 who the manager had confidence in, who had confidence in each other and were clearly a TEAM. All it took was a new manager who supposedly did't have the backing of the players and look what has happened. There is no frickin I in team and anyone who thinks a mass change in personnel would work, let alone is needed needs their head checking. I'd also like to ask where these geniuses of management were with regards to saying half our squad is shit last season when Wembley was beckoning. Say what you like about Pearson and his management style but we were good enough to get to 5th in the championship. Yet still, with new additions such as Davies and Naughton who look quality and with others yet to be judged, (Vassell, Cunnigham) our team is still shit and we're in a dogfight. It just doesn't make sense. Give Sven and the boys some time to gel and get some confidence back and we WILL climb the league.
