Kitchandro Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 WEALE NAUGHTON VITOR HOBBS CUNNINGHAM ABE KING WELLENS GALLAGHER HOWARD FRYATT
cc_star Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 Does anybody actually know the formation against Preston? I've heard it was 4-3-3 and 4-4-2 both as a straight 4 and a diamond? Whatever it was, I'd reward the players who dug in and kept only our second clean sheet of the season by naming an unchanged side, what message are you sending to the players if they do well, get a result and then get dropped?
Roy Cropper Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 Weale Naughton Vitor Davies Cunningham Moussa Abe King Gallagher Waghorn Vassell Hobbs out because Davies is better. Fryatt out because he's dogshit. Wellens out because he's racist.

Kitchandro Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 Ever heard of sarcasm? Twat. So you're sarcastic on all of your posts then?
Roy Cropper Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 So you're sarcastic on all of your posts then? Not all of them no. Most deadly serious.
Kitchandro Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 'Has the gobshite withdrawn his transfer request yet? The fact that Vitor and Abe are a million times better than the fat northern twat and apparantly can't communicate with anyone else in the team shows just what a **** he is.' That one?

Looked more like a 4-4-2 to me than anything else mate,.Abe and Gallagher on the flanks, King attacking from midfield and Wellens holding more. I'd give the line up another shot at Barnsley as it showed lots of promise in the first half, though I'd also like to see Dyer's pace for Gallagher's possession ability . I'd stick with Vitor and Hobbs also as Vitor has been really good last two games and we all know how good Hobbs really is, he'll come good again.,.and we have Tunch back around New Year time all being well......

Jakemoore Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 You have no idea do you? How can you leave Vitor out when he has been the best player in a City shirt 2 games running? Cunningham put in a better performance yesterday than Bruno has done all season. Vitor has two good games and suddenly he's better then premier League Davies and rock of our team Hobbs? No sorry mate you're wrong. Cunningham looks great but I personally think that Bruno Berner is an absolute legend, id never leave him out if fit.
Simmo86 Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 Vitor has two good games and suddenly he's better then premier League Davies and rock of our team Hobbs? No sorry mate you're wrong. Cunningham looks great but I personally think that Bruno Berner is an absolute legend, id never leave him out if fit. Bruno may be a 'legend' but the problem is that he's looked 2 yards off the pace in the majority of the games this year! Cunningham has to and will start
Roy Cropper Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 'Has the gobshite withdrawn his transfer request yet? The fact that Vitor and Abe are a million times better than the fat northern twat and apparantly can't communicate with anyone else in the team shows just what a **** he is.' That one? Yes that one was serious. I wouldnt however drop Wellens because of his comments more because I don't personally feel his performances justify his place in the side. That ok with you sir?
Roy Cropper Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 Bruno may be a 'legend' but the problem is that he's looked 2 yards off the pace in the majority of the games this year! Cunningham has to and will start And Hobbs is looking like a very crumbly rock this season.
Kitchandro Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 Yes that one was serious. I wouldnt however drop Wellens because of his comments more because I don't personally feel his performances justify his place in the side. That ok with you sir? Not really, that comment I just quoted makes you look a twat also. It's also the reason I thought you were serious.
Roy Cropper Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 Not really, that comment I just quoted makes you look a twat also. It's also the reason I thought you were serious. Why does it?
Kitchandro Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 Why does it? 'Has the gobshite withdrawn his transfer request yet?' - presumptuous The fact that Vitor and Abe are a million times better than the fat northern twat' - Inaccurate 'just what a **** he is.' - Clearly showing dislike for one of our own players. How some of our fans can hate our players so much baffles me.

Kitchandro Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 No that is accurate, he's definately northern. OK, that part is accurate
ajthefox Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 Vitor has two good games and suddenly he's better then premier League Davies and rock of our team Hobbs? No sorry mate you're wrong. Cunningham looks great but I personally think that Bruno Berner is an absolute legend, id never leave him out if fit. it's about form though. I don't think anyone said Vitor is better than either of them, just that he played really well in the last couple of games so deserves to keep his position. If you drop him after he plays well then when is he ever going to play apart from when filling in for a injury/suspension?? No-one should be given a first team spot without earning it, whether they are a "legend" or not. I love Bruno but if Cunningham is playing better then he deserves the place. you'd be mad not to stick with a team thas on form.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 Logan Naughton - Vitor - Davies - CunninghamDyer - Abe - King - GallagherWaghorn - Vassel/ Fryatt
yag101 Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 The reason why Sven favours Abe on the wing is probably because he's a lot more defensively aware, and able to come inside and play like a third midfielder as well as cover for Naughton as he charges forward. If we're going to play a 4-4-2, Abe might not necessarily be such a bad pick for the wide midfield area. Also has bags of stamina and works hard, while remaining very composed on the ball and very able to pick out a suitable pass.

If we're going to play a 4-4-2, Abe might not necessarily be such a bad pick for the wide midfield area. Also has bags of stamina and works hard, while remaining very composed on the ball and very able to pick out a suitable pass. Picking 'wide' players who can come inside and help out is essential if you play 4-4-2 with the front two well forward. Abe, as you suggest has some of the attributes of a wide player but he is weak in one vital area, he really does not have any idea how to attack down the flank! This makes him a negative choice for the wide position so in my view it would be best if he played narrow, in a midfield three, and left the attacking role to Naughton who really relishes it. Abe then plays his 'natural' game, covering the back 4 and using his passing game to dictate our play from deep. That is a very responsible role, he would have to play instead of Oakley and/or Wellens, and perhaps he is not yet ready. I still hold the view that the Abe-King pairing is where we should be heading but with the team still unsettled and lacking confidence, that might be seen as a risk.
Lord Fox Posted 2 November 2010 Posted 2 November 2010 Don't change a winning team, however to contradict myself For me I would like to see : ------------Weale/ Rensing (if signed) --------- Naughton --- Hobbs --- Vitor ---- Cunningham -------------------Abe------------------ Dyer ----------- King --------- - Moussa --------Howard --- Vassell (if fit) / Waggie-------- Abe had a better game on Saturday but his not a winger and I would like to see him get a whole game in his own self confessed best position of a defensive midfielder. Wellen's for me has been for the most quite good so far this season, but to get my desired set up unfortunately he needs to be sacrificed for Abe ( if it's a choice between King and Wellens, then sorry Richie. Andy's style offers the much needed goal threat and Abe can hold the fort so to speak) Let's give the little and large striker combo of Howard and Vassell ago- even a Vassell that has lost a yard or two of pace is still quicker then both Waggie or Fryatt, and we need a striker who can nip in and score goal's, my main concern however would be his match fitness.
