MattyFromLE Posted 2 November 2010 Posted 2 November 2010 Don't change a winning team, however to contradict myself For me I would like to see : ------------Weale/ Rensing (if signed) --------- Naughton --- Hobbs --- Vitor ---- Cunningham -------------------Abe------------------ Dyer ----------- King --------- - Moussa --------Howard --- Vassell Like the look of that although I'd play waghorn over Howard
Kitchandro Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Don't change a winning team, however to contradict myself For me I would like to see : ------------Weale/ Rensing (if signed) --------- Naughton --- Hobbs --- Vitor ---- Cunningham -------------------Abe------------------ Dyer ----------- King --------- - Moussa --------Howard --- Vassell (if fit) / Waggie-------- Abe had a better game on Saturday but his not a winger and I would like to see him get a whole game in his own self confessed best position of a defensive midfielder. Wellen's for me has been for the most quite good so far this season, but to get my desired set up unfortunately he needs to be sacrificed for Abe ( if it's a choice between King and Wellens, then sorry Richie. Andy's style offers the much needed goal threat and Abe can hold the fort so to speak) Let's give the little and large striker combo of Howard and Vassell ago- even a Vassell that has lost a yard or two of pace is still quicker then both Waggie or Fryatt, and we need a striker who can nip in and score goal's, my main concern however would be his match fitness. I'm not trying to start another argument over Wellens but he was very good again on Saturday, why drop him? I don't know what he's got to do to deserve his place in some people's eyes
Callabinho Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Hobbs is our player but he has looked really shakey this year, davies and vitor are better so I would stick davies in! We need 3 points so Sven will pick his strongest 11 then look we can think ahead. Weale naughton davies vitor Cunningham Abe wellens king gallagher fryatt waghorn.
stix Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Logan Naughton - Vitor - Davies - CunninghamDyer - Abe - King - GallagherWaghorn - Vassel/ Fryatt Please not Logan.....please please Rest of it looks decent on paper. Maybe vassell to come off the bench for half an hour or so.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Don't change a winning team unless you have to. Even if it could potentially win you a game? Got to think about the opposition, situations change, so should the team to suit.
Christoph Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Weale/Rensing (if hes signed?) Naughton - Vitor - Davies - Cunningham AbeDyer - Moussa KingFryatt - Waghorn/Vassell Howard to come on as super sub with 30/20 minutes left, think Fryatt deserves a full game to show whether hes up for the job or not, Waghorn or Vassel I dont mind, I think Waghorns got abit of maturing to do before he'll be our go to guy to get the goals Abe sticking back, with king in a free role, this can work if our defence is up to scratch
Ashley Posted 4 November 2010 Posted 4 November 2010 Weale Naughton Davies Hobbs Cunningham Mousa King Abe Dyer Waghorn Vassell
STUHILL Posted 4 November 2010 Posted 4 November 2010 Weale Naughton Davies Hobbs Cunningham Mousa King Abe Dyer Waghorn Vassell Can't argue with that. Just shows how poor our strikers have been that Vassel can jump straight in. Gallagher played well last week but I still think this line-up looks the best
muzzy1981 Posted 4 November 2010 Posted 4 November 2010 .........................Weale................................ Naughton....Vitor......Hobbs........Cunningham ............................Abe.......................................... Dyer..................Wellens........................Vassel .................Fryatt..........Waghorn.................... We've seen Sven can get performances out of players out of position, so I would give Vassell a run in the wing, he has played there in the past apparently. The pace of Dyer Waggy and Vassell could ruin Barnselys defence. Difficult to call at the back but Hobbs and Vitir deserve another run for not conceding last game. Think would be worth putting Abe in the whole and allow wellens to be more of a playmaker. I like King but think sometimes he goes missing for too long, would bring him on to change the shape though. Can't wait for this game!
AmyLGK Posted 4 November 2010 Posted 4 November 2010 What's with the "Public Saftey Message: Barnsley vs Leicester City" on the OS?!?! Is this match normally one which stirs up trouble?!?!?!?!

C-man Posted 4 November 2010 Posted 4 November 2010 What's with the "Public Saftey Message: Barnsley vs Leicester City" on the OS?!?! Is this match normally one which stirs up trouble?!?!?!?! Yeah, we usually bring a rate naughty crew and take the leisure centre with ease. I wouldn't go if you don't fancy a ruck.

Is this match normally one which stirs up trouble?!?!?!?! basically their chief of plod asking people to go straight to the ground then wait half an hour at the end before leaving
sirsvenalot Posted 5 November 2010 Posted 5 November 2010 I reckon same as last week as in 01 Weale 05 Miguel Vitor 16 Naughton 25 Hobbs 10 King 19 Wellens 22 Abe 32 Cunningham 07 Gallagher 12 Fryatt 14 Waghorn Doubt sven would change much if anything
cc_star Posted 5 November 2010 Posted 5 November 2010 I hope he names an unchanged side. If he chops & changes a winning side especially one who kept only our 2nd clean sheet of the season what message does it sent to the players. Unchanged starting 11 for me, with Vassel on the bench
Heskey2011 Posted 5 November 2010 Posted 5 November 2010 yeah agree, unchanged starting11, is Darius Vassell anywhere near fitness yet?
