i luv u foxes Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 After the leeds game finished on gillette soccer sunday jeff stelling said leicester have given sven goran erikkson 12 million to spend in january so that says to me where not really going to be loaning players in where going to buy and knowing sven he will spend all of that 12 million
themotivator Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 i will be suprised if we spend anything near 12mil
Finnegan Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 These figures always include agents fees, signing on fees, wages, et all. If there's any truth in the figure then it won't mean purely transfer fees.
ajthefox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 we don't need to spend that and I'll bet we don't
Yorkshire Blue Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 with some of the players we're linked with, that would just about stretch as a wage budget!!
Fox 4 Life Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 I never get why teams announce this kind of thing, just means anyone we bid fors price is gonna be overinflated!
i luv u foxes Posted 28 December 2010 Author Posted 28 December 2010 I never get why teams announce this kind of thing, just means anyone we bid fors price is gonna be overinflated! couldnt agree more i think its the owners showing off in way if that makes sense
Legend_in_blue Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 We may have £12 million to spend but attracting "big name" players into the club considering our current predicament is a tough ask. We'd struggle to bring in 12 million £1 signings at the minute.
phillthefox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 after how we played today i cant see any "big name" wanting to come here as we are shocking but i would deff not spend any of this money on kirkland or bednar they should pay us !!!!!
B52 Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 This shows the owners are willing to spend...... Would you like it the other way: Hrmm, we can spend one million. I hope sven looks in other parts of the world than the British Isles. The players are too expensive here.
STUHILL Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Should sign Naughton and look elsewhere for the other players as the loanees have not impressed me much. I think it is clear we need some big changes though. It's a shame because on paper, our starting 11 is very strong but we just can't seem to make that count for 90minutes. Changes needed.
Benjaldinho Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 what happened to the "10 nmillion" paulo soussa was "given"? All talk around the walkers atm,i its the same when a club gets a new owner ,i.e millions to spend, big names "destined" personally i wont expect much untill the "Big Names" are on the pitch in a city shirt.
Callabinho Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 £12 million, so what we are 17th, who's going to want to play for the most erratic team in the league?
stivesfox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 if we are to get 12 million pounds which i very much doubt and is speculative amount, that on top of the 12 million if true Sven is also allowed the monies raised from sales such as fryatt though we have 20 per cent clause to pay Walsall so if a million then got to hand Walsall 200 grand. I do hope after seeing the shitty defending from Michael Morrison he may go so you got another 15 per cent clause to pay Cambridge. Berner we may get a few quid for would guess moreno and lamey best we can get from them is loan. Cant see any big names coming this January be a case now of building a good side this season, consolidating and getting ready to make a title assualt next season, though we all believe still as the league is tight we can get play offs. I remember the season we went down all the hype over Mandaric supposed to splash the cash, which he didnt.
dannythefox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 We wont spend that think will sign Naughton and Cunningham. We dont want Bednar but we should sign Curtis Davis if he wants to sign but i do think we could get better. How the hell did villa sign him for 9million?
Leicester_Loyal Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Sign Naughton up. Get a goalscorer who is proven and can get us 20 ish goals a season (not Fryatt) A midfielder who has everything, good defensive, can play the killer final pass, can make something out of nothing, and can score wonderful goals. We need another CB, ready to gel with Hobbs. So it will be Hobbs and this new CB. Vitor is brilliant, but we aren't going to sign him permo. I'd like to see Schlupp (spelling?) given a chance in the first team to score goals. Doubt he'd be much good, but he needs a few games, but we can't risk it. Catch 22.

Catch 22. proven goalscorer proven goalscorer proven goalscorer......... dont like to bring things up from the past but there is no way you can garauntee a proven goalscorer will continue his form at another club, or have you forgotten what happened last time we signed one for a record fee. it doesnt work like that. jason roberts or someone like him, could be a great signing, or he could flop massively. you dont know.... or do you? agree with your assessment of the defence though. and yes it is frustrating that we arent in a comfortable enough position to bring in the likes of schlupp and give him a run out.
Edmund Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Sosban's got it spot on. As always, these figures branded about are for the whole package.

To be fair the last record signing is doing well for me at Hinckley on Football Manager 2011 We need someone like Chopra from Cardiff. To be fair, we need any of the Cardiff strikeforce. Actually, we need anyone that can put the ball into the back of the net regularly, as King is the only one doing it for us at the moment.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Celtic manager Neil Lennon is eager to bring out-of-favour Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne Source: BBC Transfer Gossip If Celtic want him, I can see him going there. Decided to post this here as Dunnes name is being mentioned as a possible transfer target.

Leicester_Loyal Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 ok, why would anybody come from cardiff to us? and how fooking old is akinbiyi on fm11? They won't. Wanna know why? Because we are total shit I think he is 35 ish. Wikipedia says he is 36. Old git.
themotivator Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 we aren't total shit. we are alright and have potential to be easily better than cardiff. but at the moment they are so much more attractive as they have a great shout for promotion.

Remember seeing him fight Muhammed Ali for the World Heavyweight title years ago. That's something we really need, someone who could add a bit of muscle to the team, can't see too many players wanting to mess with him !
