Where are all the new signings then?

As the title says.

Sven has had 6 and a half hours now. .

Well, with this shroud of secrecy that Sven is so obviously using to hide his " wee small hours" dealings, he better have at least 5 signed up by 8.00 am!

I agree something doesn't feel rite.....surely players sign these agreements in advance of the start of the deadline, and surely someone at the club is working at 00.01 that could put the info on the official site.

Very strange indeed!

Quite!!.

It should be an office junior that has the enviable task of updating the site, on the evening of merriment and mirth, with some 30 plus Journeymans name!

Why is nothing showing?

Sven-Goran Eriksson lines up crucial deals for Leicester City

Saturday, January 01, 2011, 09:30Comment on this story<br style="line-height: 1.4em; ">

Sven-Goran Eriksson is hoping to be busy during the January transfer window but has told Leicester City supporters there will be no revolution of his playing squad.

The City manager will be handed hefty funds by the club's Thai owners with another centre-half and at least one striker top of his shopping list.

The Mercury understands that City have tabled a £250,000 bid for Hibernian's Ivory Coast international defender Sol Bamba.

The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer and Eriksson knows him well from his time as the Ivory Coast manager in last summer's World Cup in South Africa

He is a former Paris Saint- Germain, Monaco, Fulham and Blackburn Rovers centre-half and he was valued at £2m last summer. But Hibs may decide to cash in rather than lose him for nothing next summer.

1x1.GIFEriksson has already admitted making approaches for the likes of Roque Santa Cruz, Robbie Keane and David Beckham.

He has also been linked with Manchester City's Shay Given and Michael Johnson, Tottenham Hotspur's Jonathan Woodgate and Aston Villa's former Leicester favourite Emile Heskey.

However, Eriksson has stated he is not looking to make drastic, wholesale changes during the month.

His first priority is to extend the long-term loans of full-backs Greg Cunningham and Kyle Naughton. Eriksson is confident he has been successful on that front.

He is also trying to convince defender Curtis Davies to extend his stay at the Walkers Stadium from Villa, or even join permanently.

He will then look to bolster his squad with fresh faces.

Heading out of the door will be Matty Fryatt, who will complete his £1.2 million transfer to Hull today but will not face his former club at the KC Stadium, and, possibly, Michael Morrison, who is wanted by Sheffield Wednesday, and Bruno Berner. "It is not going to be a revolution in January, we are not changing the whole team or 10 players," said Eriksson.

"If we are going to give permission for someone to leave, first of all we have to take in some players or we will be short of numbers.

"I am always hopeful we are close to something, but nothing will happen and no-one will say yes until January.

"January is important for everyone. I am not just talking about players coming in or going out, but the players we have already must do better, especially away from home.

"We are trying to correct the mistakes we are making, that is the first thing. Then, if we can get in a couple of players with some good quality, we will try and do it."

When Eriksson took over at the Walkers Stadium in October, he said he could be judged a success or not by Christmas, and he says that. apart from the away form, he has been satisfied with the progress made so far.

"If we can keep our home form going for the rest of the season, I would be very happy, but we have to take many more points away from home," he said.

"If we don't, it will be impossible to do what we want to do.

"I am rather satisfied how we play football and with the home results, but not the away results. In all these last four away games, except Ipswich because we didn't play well there, we should have had some more points.

"It is our fault so we can't blame anything."

Tuesday is the start of the transfer window thanks to it being a bank holiday on Monday.

Although it's likely we can hear about stuff before then, transfers can't be registered until the men in suits get back to work on Tuesday

I'ts a but like Christmas, we can assume Sol Bamba will be one, but the others we can just speculate, I'm feeling at least one of the Following players will join us.

-Steed Malbranque

-Akos Buzsacky

-David Dunne

-Kevin Phillips

But thats me guessing :)

Which means Pearson was shite talking when he said that though Leicester were willing to sell Fryatt to Hull, we would delay it so that he wouldn't be able to play against us. Now either that's a tremendous misquote, or the man is a bit soft in the head.

Wouldn't want him now, maybe 2 or 3 seasons ago, but certainly not now.

so what you expecting?

At Least 5 or 6 new faces!!.

I want Jay Bothroyd...Ryan Shawcross.... Darren Gibson....Those just for starters..

Sven has been harping on about January, and has had plenty of time, he knew it was coming, it was on his 2011 calendar for christs sake.

He needs to put his money where his mouth is...

Why not?. Wales is probably too far to travel back everyday, but he can stay in the holiday inn next to the ground, or even better, the Aylestone Park Hotel on Belvoir Drive, 2 seconds from the training ground.

I know the owner, Bill, I reckon he would do him a decent rate.

The other 2 could travel back, the M1 to junc 23, onto the A50 and then onto the M6...That ways a doddle..Done it a few times myself.

I've seen Ryan Shawcross in his motor, he has got an executive Fiat saloon, he should have no problem doing that journey, especially if he goes my special way...
