Libertine Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Lovely goal. Red card seems a little harsh from that, despite it obviously being 'dangerous'.
Zingari Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 thanks the sending off looked a little harsh to me i'm fairly sure it was accidental fantastic strike !!
Callabinho Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Lovely goal. Red card seems a little harsh from that, despite it obviously being 'dangerous'. No it was a dangerous challenge he broke his leg therefore It warrented a red card. intention or no intention he had to go.
gazfox9 Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Lovely goal. Red card seems a little harsh from that, despite it obviously being 'dangerous'. Harsh??? Personally i feel he deserves a 6 game ban it was a horrific tackle. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for Greg.
davieG Posted 1 January 2011 Author Posted 1 January 2011 I assume it must have been higher up the shin than it looked from the camera angle.
lcfc"weasel" Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 It was completely 110% unintentional, but he had to go, bit like the Shawcross challenge against Arsenal, didn't mean to harm, but did..
Dylan Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 From that angle, the tackle didn't look that bad, but its a crap camera angle so can't really see the tackle properly. Just looked clumsy and very unlucky. If Cunningham didn't get injured so seriously I feel it would've been yellow. Need a better view of it.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Just asking did the hull player check if cunningham was okay? Because it looked like he cared more about the red then breaking his leg. Get well soon greg!
Dylan Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Stringer said on commentary that he apologised to Cunningham after being sent off.
Zingari Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 they both seemed to be chasing a loose ball , and neither backed out ( like what you're told to do ) i think rosenior could just as easily have been hurt in that clash , it was just bad luck on Cunningham imo
Callabinho Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Just asking did the hull player check if cunningham was okay? Because it looked like he cared more about the red then breaking his leg. Yep he stayed on by his side until he got carried off, and bullard ran over to him also.
Tevez Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Disgrace of a tackle but once he's commited he is in and it's Leicester with the player out and probably going back to his parent club.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Yep he stayed on by his side until he got carried off, and bullard ran over to him also. Ahh good then
brookfox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Disgrace of a tackle but once he's commited he is in and it's Leicester with the player out and probably going back to his parent club. I think disgrace is taking it a bit far based on that clip. He's about 0.1 seconds late, he's not left the floor and jumped in and it's not 2 really footed. Cunningham was just unlucky and by the sounds of it Rosenior conducted himself well so it's just one of those things. Nice goal by Vassell and a nice pass with his left by Wellens to pick him out.

Haydos Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Bad luck on his part IMO, challenge on Wellens last week was 10x worse. Cracking pass by wellens for the goal though
Bert Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 The tackle doesn't look as bad as it was, it was horrific. To be fair a lot of players went over to Greg, but it's scant consolation at the end of the day, the damage is done.
Sylvie85 Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 From the stand it looked alot higher on the leg, It looked as though Morrisson wasn't too happy with the way the hull players were reacting, so there was a bit of handbags. When it first happened i thought it was late but probably a yellow, would have to see it again from a different angle.
acooling08 Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Didn't look too bad from the camera angle - just both players committed and Greg was unlucky. Was just late, not high or mallicious. Nice goal. Great delivery from Wellens and powerful but well kept down shot from Vassell.
Zingari Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 i've looked at it a good few times now and rosenior was closer to the ball when it broke free and seemed to be intent on making a clearance rather than a tackle

It looked awful, probably worse actually being there than that video shows. Goal was a peach.
Father Ted Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Absolutely wonderful goal, top class goal. Just watch the goal again but ignore Wellens and Vassell, just look at the movement!!
Bugg Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Anyone else hear the snapping sound on that video a split second after the tackle? If that's Cunningham's leg then that sounds horrific
Zingari Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 back and to the left .....................back and to the left ......................back and to the left only JFK conspiracy freaks will get that
