Steve's big'ead Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 Positive stuff from Sven, unfortunatly it's not a permanent deal, but hopefully we can sign him come the end of the season. He's much better than Neilson and Lamey, who are fringe players and will most likely be on there way out soon, I dont think either of them have featured under Sven at all. In relation to a left back, Berner's departure seems imminent, very much like Morro (a sad loss) which brings to mine, and many leicester fans alike, the idea of a new left back. Just curious in hearing everyone's thoughts on who that should be, i've got some ideas: Patrick Van Aanholt - Young LB at Chelsea, looked impressive last season for Newcastle, although links of him going to Hoffenheim have emerged Jloyd Samuel - The experience is there and he hasn't featured much this season, could be a decent option? George Elokobi - A good LB currently at Wolves, but has featured recently, maybe a loan move if anything. This is all i can think of that would possibly be interested. Any ideas anyone? Thanks. Sorry if this dragged on, this is my first post on this forum. UTF
Jon the Hat Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 I think Mee can Play left back, whether that was Sven intention I guess we will see. Seems to me we could use another anyway. And a sensible first post. Welcome!!
Steve's big'ead Posted 7 January 2011 Author Posted 7 January 2011 Cheers pal, yeah i heard Mee is a CB/LB and as i havent seen him play yet i cant reserve judgement, Tom Kennedy for me, needs a chance, but may not be good enough. I May be wrong though...

MPH Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 Tom Kennedy is awful. He shouldn't be anywhere near our back 4. Bit harsh. had promise, i thought.
Steve's big'ead Posted 8 January 2011 Author Posted 8 January 2011 Gazer I was referring to this season, sorry for any confusion. Kerion Gibbs would be a bit audacious? He's not long returned from injury. But with Sven in charge anythings possible :L
Bert Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Mee was brought in the day Greg broke his leg, it's just a bonus he can play there.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Tom Kennedy is awful. He shouldn't be anywhere near our back 4. Based on a handful of appearances in which pretty much all our defenders looked pish poor? You simpleton. Anyone that saw him at Rochdale knows he's a more than decent left back, obviously there are question marks over whether or not he can cut it at Championship level, but he's hardly been given a fair crack of the whip to show if he's capable for us. The guy's left foot is absolutely leathal at crossing.
Ashley Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Stephen Warnock? Isn't playing for Villa and Villa trying to sign Wayne Bridge.
Blanesta Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 how could tom kennedy be good for the prem when he's playing in league X Please don't phone radio Leicester this monday! we're not in the "prem" mate
Jimmy Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Stephen Warnock? Isn't playing for Villa and Villa trying to sign Wayne Bridge. Blackburn want him back
daveyboy Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Anyone else here Warnock after the Blackburn game regarding Naughton, "we lost Kyle Walker to Villa, and nearly got Kyle Naughton but couldn't compete with Leicester financially". Very pleased it appears Sven and the owners held their own and kept hold of him, would of been very frustrating to see him playing elsewhere in the championship.

ibbosuk Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Queens Park Rangers were dealt a set-back in their bid to sign Tottenham Hotspur full-back Kyle Naughton. The defender that signed at White Hart Lane with former QPR loanee Kyle Walker had been linked with Queens Park Rangers but Neil Warnock revealed that Rangers couldn't match the fee that Leicester paid for his loan deal. As a result Rangers were short on numbers against Blackburn Rovers today with a mounting injury list meaning that QPR could only field six substitutes - three of which were youth team players. Warnock revealed to QPR.co.uk: 'We also missed out on Kyle Naughton, because we couldn't afford what Leicester paid Spurs for his loan.' Leicester City and Sven Goran Eriksson extended Naughton's loan at the Walkers Stadium with Rangers left to contemplate a growing sick list. Read more: http://www.qpr.vital...le.asp?a=227574
