nuttytimmy Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Anybody know what the situation is with TV rights for FA Cup R3 replays? Would be good to watch the trip to Eastlands, and if there are rights surely we'd be a shoe-in for the TV slot considering the excitement of today's game and lack of many other replays. That said, however, Leeds will probably be picked, they usually are (every year on ITV for at least the last 3 I believe). One of the ITV execs is surely a fan!
reeceh_lcfc Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 No - idea - but what dates are the replays? 18th and 19th of January
nuttytimmy Posted 9 January 2011 Author Posted 9 January 2011 Wednesday 19th January, 7:45pm, according to the Beeb.
Haydos Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Off-topic but not a fan of replays. Often devalues performances like the one from us today by giving us another hard tie back at their place
nothin2seehere Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Agree Haydos, I think the team Man City play at their gaff will be a bit stronger and they'll have their home advantage this time. But we play like we did today and we've got every chance.
mrgarrison16 Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Wednesday 19th January, 7:45pm, according to the Beeb. where does it say this?
filbertway Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Off-topic but not a fan of replays. Often devalues performances like the one from us today by giving us another hard tie back at their place Also though, it offers smaller teams the chance to play well, earn a draw and get a replay at a bigger clubs ground with guarentee of 33%(or whatever it is) of the gates. I can see Cardfiff v Stoke and Leeds v Arsenal being the two games on tv.

mrgarrison16 Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 if we're the only team on wednesday then surely we must be on tv?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 [quote name=Bert' timestamp=' 294601807' post='1768201] They've already had arsenal on though on ITV? Means nothing. They had Tottenham vs Leeds and the replay on ITV last year. Hopefulyl we will be on ITV/ITV4 or something anyway.
Dylan Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Leeds v Arsenal Wolves v Doncaster Cardiff v Stoke The only replays apart from ours to be played. Will be at least 2-3 replays on TV. Must have a decent shot at getting picked. Apart from the Arsenal-Leeds tie, ours is the best tie.

filbertway Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 They've already had arsenal on though on ITV? It's a quality match for the neutrals though. I'd like to think they'd pick us over cardiff, but again, smaller team at home to a prem team, more chance of an upset there.
Asha Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Doesn't the replay HAVE to be on the Wednesday? For the whole 10 days notice for the police thing? Only asking because I have an exam on that Wednesday morning. Tuesday night game and I won't be able to go
Rich Fox Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Is there a chance the replay at eastlands will be on ESPN if not on ITV?
KnightonSkin Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Is there a chance the replay at eastlands will be on ESPN if not on ITV? I hope so, I ordered ESPN for a month just for this game, seeing Leicester later this month again on ESPN .. bonus!
scott_gunnell Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 I hope so. I cant get to the games so on the TV would be great. Its a big game still so they might. Win, Lose, or Draw, enjoy the day lads
Ford Super Sunday Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 We're definitely competing with Cardiff-Stoke for live coverage on ESPN. ITV have first pick and probably chose Leeds-Arsenal as soon as the final whistle went at Old Trafford today. It's all down to who they think would get them better revenue of course. They've already done the Sven/Mancini links story. If they were impressed with us today they might think we have a chance of putting on a good game. If we are chosen for ESPN it'll be more than likely on a Tuesday though, as ITV's will be a Wednesday, and for ESPN to show a live replay the same time as ITV would be a mild retarded. Though be warned, ESPN do have a nasty habit of scheduling games on Monday/Thursday night, but It's almost certain to be a Choosday.

bluefox9er Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Makes no sense..how the hell can Cardiff/Stoke be even remotely more attractive than us v Man City??? Not sure i want to see any more of Pullis's teams kick lumps out of the opposition and hump the ball each time and listen to the arse hole say they play 'good, attractive, clean football'...
StanSP Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 It's possible that one match could be on TV, and another could be on FA.com. I can't remember which round or match exactly, but I think a Spurs match was shown on the website and there was another match on TV.
Bert Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 There's hardly any replays. Ours has to be played on the wednesday with only derby possibly on the weds of they draw tomorrow. I can see this being on Itv.
