TV Replay?

Just wondering why the TV guide is saying both ITV and ESPN are showing live FA cup on the Wednesday night if we're the only game on?

We're definitely competing with Cardiff-Stoke for live coverage on ESPN. ITV have first pick and probably chose Leeds-Arsenal as soon as the final whistle went at Old Trafford today.

It's all down to who they think would get them better revenue of course. They've already done the Sven/Mancini links story. If they were impressed with us today they might think we have a chance of putting on a good game.

If we are chosen for ESPN it'll be more than likely on a Tuesday though, as ITV's will be a Wednesday, and for ESPN to show a live replay the same time as ITV would be a mild retarded.

Though be warned, ESPN do have a nasty habit of scheduling games on Monday/Thursday night, but It's almost certain to be a Choosday.

:)

Wrong, it's on Wednesday.

Never underestimate the power of a television company.

Been confirmed as that Tuesday now. Means I have to sack off a day of lectures and possibly work the next day, but all being well I should be there. Absolutely no idea about what's going on though at the moment, although I've got a mate in Manc-land I can stay with. Going to take me about 5-6 hours to get there from Eastbourne, absolute mission.

Leicester will travel to the City of Manchester Stadium on Tuesday 18th January for their Third Round FA Cup replay with Roberto Mancini's Manchester City.

The Foxes battled to a deserved 2-2 draw at the Walkers Stadium on Sunday, and now have the opportunity to face the Premier League side once again.

The match, which will be screened live on ESPN once again, kicks off at 7.45 p.m at Eastlands.

The FA have confirmed that both clubs will be receive the £72,000 live broadcast fee.

I've heard yesterdays match is going to be on ESPN 'classic tomorrow at 10:45pm*.

Hardly a classic as it was only yesterday, they must be running out of things to put on that channel.

* Source, LCFC official on facebook. I cant be arsed to check if its true, so if it isn't don't get too excited.

From Manchester City Issues Site.

Edin Dzeko cannot feature in the replay as all players have to be registered before the 12pm deadline on the Friday before the tie, regardless of a replay occurring.

However, even without those two we should have more enough to dispatch of Leicester at Eastlands.
