How the feck did Felipe get penalised for that.

Because he looked over a few times, knew Hamilton was there and still turned in on him. There has to be a point were you yield to a faster car coming up the inside.

It's about time Massa left the sport anyway. Been nowhere nears as good as he was before the Barachello spring incident. Can't remember the last time he was even competitive in race. And this weekend to hit those orange bumps on the corners, not once, but twice, when no other driver even touched them, for me shows his awareness is well off what it should be.

Singapore - Hamilton penalised for turning in on Massa

India - Massa penalised for turning in on Hamilton.

Different circumstances and I dont agree with either penalties but it's what happens when the stewards dont know what they're doing.

But on both occasions Hamilton was attacking. Surely there should be more impetus on the driver making an overtake to avoid a collision, something which this season Hamilton has demonstrated a complete lack of ability in doing.

Take off the tinted specs, It's fine to defend you position, but if you have a car going faster flying up the inside of you, you have to give the driver and the overtaking move some respect and give him space. I'm not saying move over for him, just don't squeeze him off the track. I'm 28, I've watched F1 since the Prost-Senna days and this has always been the case. The impetus is with both drivers to avoid a collision.

You're both biased.

Both decisions were correct by the stewards.

Both have been abysmal this season - get the fuck over it.

(Though I'll happily take a bet with Nussl that Hamilton will improve significantly more than Felipe-Baby by next season.)

I got the impression from Hamilton's on-board camera that he lifted just before Massa turned in which possibly made the stewards think that Hamilton had at least tried to avoid an accident whereas Massa appeared to look in his mirrors, see that Hamilton was there, and yet still decided to turn in.

Massa's not reacted well to being Alonso's 'bitch' and Hamilton's not reacting well to Button's consistency and potentially the prospect of being No. 2 driver at McLaren next season.

In my humble opinion, Massa hasn't been the same driver since losing the WDC at Brazil (obvioulsy not helped by the shocking incident with the spring) and Hamilton hasn't been the same since splitting with his father.

They both need to sort out their issues with each other sooner rather than later or this has the potential to end disastrously.. Two motorsport deaths already this season is two too many.

I think that has been Lewis's problem this season. Out of all the drivers I've met, Lewis was the nicest and friendliest , but i've lost a lot of respect for him this season. At times his attitude has been really poor.

On a side note, I've always wondered what Paul di Resta's thinking is behind having a competitor's dad as his manager.

Personally, I think that'd be quite weird.

I wonder how Anthony Hamilton would be feeling if his son and di Resta were going into the final race of the season as a title decider. Would he back his son or his client? Would he celebrate either way?

Would definitely be interested to find out.

And of course, how would both drivers feel in that situation? If Hamilton lost the title to di Resta (haha, I know we're talking purely speculative here) and saw his dad celebrating that, wouldn't that be absolutely gut-wrenching?

Williams is almost ready to announce Kimi Raikkonen's return to Formula One for 2012, according to media reports.

"(The) Raikkonen (agreement) is almost there," a source inside the famous British team is quoted by FAZ newspaper.

Italy's Autosprint reports that the funding is coming from Qatar.

Williams on Wednesday hinted at the deal by revealing that a memorandum of understanding with Mowasalat, a Qatari company, was signed in Doha for the use of the team's simulator technology.

"The funding for the 'Iceman' is coming from the heat of Qatar," said the Italian magazine.

The Finnish broadcaster MTV3 said the sponsorship of a Qatar bank is the next step.

That will validate a contract that Raikkonen, 32, reportedly signed recently "and the announcement will be made in Abu Dhabi" next weekend.

The Swiss publication Motorsport Aktuell said the 2007 world champion is Williams' "first choice" to be Pastor Maldonado's new teammate.

"He (Raikkonen) has been at Grove several times for talks," the report added

I hope Williams have a decent car next season. On his day, Raikkonen is brilliant.

Raikkonen returning is great for the sport providing he stays motivated enough.

Where does this leave Barrichello, though? One of my favourite drivers and I don't want to see him leave the sport just yet :(

It's the first Indian Gp on Sunday, it starts at the unusual time of 9.30 am. The track looks pretty good. A fast 1st section , and a really twisty second section.

It's because India is 5 and a half hours ahead of the UK, so it started at 3pm there.

Anyway, I went along to it (my first GP). It was an enjoyable weekend.

To be fair, he's seven hundred years old.

He loves the sport, though, I wouldn't be surprised to see him driving with one of the backmarkers purely for the sakes of it.

Well and truly lost his edge, though. There'll be a lot of cynics suggesting they'll only keep Maldonado over Rubens for the money, but tbh, I think the mad Columbian's actually been the better driver this season.

Kimi loses interest when the car is under peforming , not sure how he will cope with a Williams.

(Maldonado is Venezeulan Finners :P )

Not necessarily, he did well in 2009 (especially the second half of the season).
