Finnegan Posted 26 September 2011 Posted 26 September 2011 So shut it Finners!!!x u wanna fite or wot!?
Amin Posted 26 September 2011 Posted 26 September 2011 Vettel isn't just a 'time trailer', he's a fantastic racer and a very deserving world champion. Even if he was just good at leading races, it's not exactly a bad skill to have.
Yojoe36 Posted 26 September 2011 Posted 26 September 2011 Why? Must be something in the fact that Alonso hates Lewis,Massa hates Lewis,Maldano tried to crash into Lewis...Or is it just cos he is Black!!! !!! Now his Dad blames his management team(run by Simon fuller!!!) Nah it's cauz am Ali G init
Jimmy Posted 26 September 2011 Posted 26 September 2011 Vettel isn't just a 'time trailer', he's a fantastic racer and a very deserving world champion. Even if he was just good at leading races, it's not exactly a bad skill to have. no but I have no doubt put Jenson, Alonso or Lewis in the same car and they'd destroy him
Raj Posted 27 September 2011 Posted 27 September 2011 u wanna fite or wot!? I'd eat you!!! x no but I have no doubt put Jenson, Alonso or Lewis in the same car and they'd destroy him You could say that almost about every driver in a winning car every season!!! Put Alonos,Lewis,Webber,etc...in Buttons Virgin winning car and they'd probably all have won! you can only do it in the car you are in at the time...Its a tame arguement!
nothin2seehere Posted 27 September 2011 Posted 27 September 2011 you can only do it in the car you are in at the time...Its a tame arguement! That's what bothers me a bit about F1. All the drivers on the track, by nature of the sport, are ****ing quick and know how to handle a performance car. I'm sure if you stuck Alonso, Vettel, Lewis etc in the Virgin, they wouldn't make a top 10 quali shootout. Does that make them a bad driver? Does Vettel in the RB, or Button in the Brawn GP, automatically make them a good driver cause they have the fastest car? Sometimes I just wish all the teams could work together and build a car, then it's left to strategy and driver performance to win the race. It'll never happen, unfortunately.
Raj Posted 27 September 2011 Posted 27 September 2011 However the difference a truely great racer has on a team can be important (ala Schu on Ferrari) Im sure his input/experience etc...can gain that all important tenth of a sec or whatever it needs. Im sure theres not much between the top 4-5 but obvioulsy the team owners see something in the drivers they hire than the ones they dont! On the other side put Liuzzi or Glock in a red bull, you think theyd' win races? doubt it.

Yojoe36 Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 Anyone stay up at 5 in the morning? I watched the reply earlier, and I was gutted to see Mr Time Trialer get pole AGAIN. Shame Lewis didn't get another lap in, and Button was only 0.009 seconds off 1st.
Asha Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 Anyone stay up at 5 in the morning? I watched the reply earlier, and I was gutted to see Mr Time Trialer get pole AGAIN. Shame Lewis didn't get another lap in, and Button was only 0.009 seconds off 1st. Full credit to Vettel, another good qualifying lap and deserves the pole. If it doesn't quite work out for Ferrari tomorrow, I really genuinely hope Vettel takes the championship with a win and in style, he'd fully deserve it too.
Finnegan Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 Full credit to Vettel, another good qualifying lap and deserves the pole. If it doesn't quite work out for Ferrari tomorrow, I really genuinely hope Vettel takes the championship with a win and in style, he'd fully deserve it too. Difficult for him to really do anything "in style," The whole year's been very, very simple for him and he's not really had to scrap for much. I'm not going to get dragged in to a pissing contest over who the better drivers are (though Felipe-Baby's still shit ,) but a large part of what's made Jenson look great this season is quite simply the fact he's NEEDED to work his way through the field so often (albeit frequently by his own doing.) Vettel's had little opportunity to answer his critics because he's lead so emphatically from start to finish and, with no disrespect to the young driver, you really do have to heap a large amount of the praise on Newey and the wallet of Dietrich Mateschitz for that.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Great drive from Button again - hopefully next season will be much more even (just when Sky take half the races )
Super_horns Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Great drive from Button again - hopefully next season will be much more even (just when Sky take half the races ) Vettel has the real advantage in qualiflyingwhich helps naturally but seems much closer during the races.
Mack Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 In my opinion Button has shown up the immaturity of Hamilton this season.
Yojoe36 Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Button is the sh**. He's wiped the floor with Button this year.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 In my opinion Button has shown up the immaturity of Hamilton this season. Yeah. Hamilton keeps moaning that the McLaren isn't good enough and Button keeps proving him wrong. Bad workman blames his tools and all that.
Brainy Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Actually Button complains more that the car isnt up to scratch, I havent seen anything lately from Hamilton saying it isnt good enough. Prove me wrong though. I see Massa is crying AGAIN though. **Massa demands FIA to take action with Hamilton** -clears air with Hamilton "Not enough being done on Hamilton" "Hamilton is paying for his mistakes" **Massa demands FIA to take action with Hamilton**
Asha Posted 10 October 2011 Posted 10 October 2011 I don't understand how you can rim Hamilton so much, yet hate Button? I'll be honest, before this season I didn't rate Button - not in the same league as Alonso, Vettel, Massa etc. The way he won his championship, by winning races when his car was by far and away the best, and even when competition closed up a little he was struggling to even make the podium most races. That's why I find it bizarre that people like Jimmy are questioning Vettel and whether he really deserves this - yet I'm sure at the time they were mouthing off that Button was a God, and how he was the best driver, etc etc. Saying that, Button has impressed me this season. As has been said, he's really shown Hamilton up as the whiny, arrogant bitch he is. So many times this season he's thrown his dummy out and crashed into people. If that was Schumacher, or Alonso - many of you on here would be seeking a banning order from the sport or something. Hamilton's conduct this season (on the whole) has been unacceptable, and I hope Button beats him in the championship. I like Massa, but surely a Ferrari driver needs to be capable of fighting for victories. Ok, so the car wasn't all that much this year, but as far as I can remember he hasn't been on the podium yet, and that's not really meeting expectations. Obviously he'll be there next season but that'll be it for me. I just really hope he can pull some stunning wins out of the bag next year and finish up in the Scuderia on a high. And I really hope Kubica comes back to form, and takes his place for 2013. A Kubica-Alonso partnership would represent the best driver line-up in the field without debate. Young drivers like Sergio Perez and Sebastien Buemi are tipped to replace Massa when the time arises, but it'd be nice to have two drivers at their peak that can win races straight away.
Finnegan Posted 10 October 2011 Posted 10 October 2011 The criticisms of Button's championship season are ridiculously harsh, though, to be fair. They started the year with a car streets ahead, fair enough, but they certainly didn't end the season that way. They didn't have any real budget to apply major upgrades throughout the year and the rest of the teams caught up comfortably. By the end of the season he was scrapping for every point. Have people forgotten Brazil?
Brainy Posted 10 October 2011 Posted 10 October 2011 I don't understand how you can rim Hamilton so much, yet hate Button? Whos that aimed at?
Asha Posted 10 October 2011 Posted 10 October 2011 Whos that aimed at? Button's girlfriend, obviously. Who do you think?
Brainy Posted 10 October 2011 Posted 10 October 2011 who are you to get cocky when you assume I "hate" Button cause I said that he complains more than Hamilton about the performance of the car? also "button wasnt in the same league as alonso, vettel, massa and co." top quality trolling. if alonso has been in the premier league this season then massa has been in league two.
isaidno Posted 15 October 2011 Author Posted 15 October 2011 Hamilton is behaving really strange. Ok, he's had a few bad races recently, but he's making a right fool out of himself at the minute. Smile Lewis
Jimothy Posted 15 October 2011 Posted 15 October 2011 Hamilton is behaving really strange. Ok, he's had a few bad races recently, but he's making a right fool out of himself at the minute. Smile Lewis You mean that little smirk he had on his face all the way through the interview? Ok he wasn't beaming ear to ear but he smiled! What do you want from the guy, a ticker-tape parade?
StanSP Posted 16 October 2011 Posted 16 October 2011 3 hours sleep, and up to watch Korean GP. Am I stupid ?
