Amin Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Very happy that Buemi managed to get from 23rd to 8th, taking 10 drivers on the first lap!
FoxesAreBlue Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Did anybody watch the F1 forum after the race? There was a bit where Jake and Eddie were outside the Lotus garage looking at burnt parts of Heidfelds car when Martin Brundle strolled up and poked his nose into the garage? It was just a totally unconscious piece of body language but just showed complete and utter interest as he meandered up the pit lane to join them with the presenting. Obviously we all know his knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport anyway but I thought that 1 or 2 seconds when he probably didn't realise he was on camera was an eye opener, the BBC need to keep this guy next season...
Finnegan Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 I loved the pit-lane contest to be honest, before the race. Completely hilarious. Loved DC's little jibe at Jenson's pit lane antics.
isaidno Posted 27 August 2011 Author Posted 27 August 2011 It's raining in Belgium. I've gone for Sutil to get pole @ 200/1 .
Jimothy Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Terrible from Maldonado on Hamilton at the end of Q2. Should be banned from racing tomorrow for that.
Amin Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Terrible from Maldonado on Hamilton at the end of Q2. Should be banned from racing tomorrow for that. Petulant and dangerous from the both of them, with Maldonado taking it to far. Maldonado has recieved a 5 grid-slot penalty: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/94028
Yojoe36 Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Damn. I was at the match, so I couldn't watch the qualifying. I need to watch the highlights.

Maldonado has recieved a 5 grid-slot penalty: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/94028 Honestly don't think Hamilton did much wrong. Moved to the right, saw Maldonado inexplicably trying to do a race manoeuvre on him and moved back to the left. Then Maldonado just slams into the side of him. Totally needless, and stupidly dangerous.
Yojoe36 Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 What a disgrace. Just saw the highlights. A 5 place penalty isn't enough. Crashes in F1, or any motorsport, are always dangerous. A piece of debris could of flown off and hit the driver, fly into the crowd e.t.c. Should be banned from the race

Legend_in_blue Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 The twitch to the right was unnecessary from Hamilton. To blame the incident on humid track conditions is unnecessary on the part of Maldonardo. Regardless of whether Lewis twitched left or right it was premeditated. In order for there to be contact Maldonado has accelerated past Hamilton under a chequered flag situation and has swiped in front of him whilst doing so. Humid track conditions? No. Just outright unprofessionalism. If he had a problem, take it to the pits.

Yojoe36 Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Damn. Lewis' crash was a bit unlucky. Feel sorry for him, as it looked liked he was going to have a good race. I suppose Button getting a podium is some what a consolation.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 Button's race and a couple of others on the harder compound have made me wonder why none of the teams in the top ten shoot out have taken a punt on qualifying on and starting with the harder compound? It seems the quicker way to go and would give you flexibility with strategy, although obviously you lose a little in track position?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 Vettel too good again it pains me to say but he is bloody good. Webber solid again
isaidno Posted 29 August 2011 Author Posted 29 August 2011 Martin Whitmarsh made me mad being interviewed after the race. "Hamilton was cleary hit behind by Kobayashi ". No he wasn't Mr Whitmarsh, Hamilton turned in on Kamui, and has admitted it was his fault.

DC spouts some waffle sometimes but he's right when he says track position is everything. Qualifying was the difference between 1st and 3rd for Jence.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Time to decide which race to go to next season Where is the European GP next year? Never been to any, but I'd love to go to Monaco, Imola or Spa.
stix Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Valencia, cheap but shit. Ive never been to an F1 GP. The Mrs & I have decided that next season we are going to Valencia to watch one. So Cheers!!!
