wayne76 Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 a souce close to the club says sven is holding off signing bernard parker as they are in negociations to sign shaun wright philips!
phillthefox Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 i heard fulham were after SWP and doubt he would drop division like all our other targets dont seem to drop either, although yakubu signing might be the key point....... IN SVEN WE TRUST :sge: :sge:
cc_star Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 I thought Fulham would be a cert, failing that I'm sure a few other Prem sides would be sniffing which there wasn't for Yakubu. Plus there's the whole England situation. I think he'll ad a he'll of a lot in this division I just can't see it happening
Christoph Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Was the source told about this in morrisons by any chance?
Criggers Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 I thought Fulham would be a cert, failing that I'm sure a few other Prem sides would be sniffing which there wasn't for Yakubu. Plus there's the whole England situation. I think he'll ad a he'll of a lot in this division I just can't see it happening Yakuba said in his interview he rejected some prem offers to come here.
MikeyT Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Can't imagine this to be true. As stated above, there would be other prem teams interested surely and there's the England thing as well. Highly, highly unlikely i'd have thought. Then again, this is Leicester. Nothing would suprise me lately.
wayne76 Posted 16 January 2011 Author Posted 16 January 2011 it makes sense and why stall over parker?
Uncle Monty Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 I think we have all become a bit sceptical after the whole 'dead cert' santa cruz signing.
Blue Bob Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 SWP on one wing, dyer on the other, yak and vassell up front. That would be an awesome combination!!! At this level they would tear teams to bits!! Well if anyone can do it Sven can! Make it happen!!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 I think SWP is extremely overrated and he is usually shit everytime I see him, especially for England. Wouldnt want him at all.
Jimothy Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 I think SWP is extremely overrated and he is usually shit everytime I see him, especially for England. Wouldnt want him at all. Think he's average for the Premier League and isn't England class, but he'd tear some the full backs in this division new arseholes.
sdb Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Think he's average for the Premier League and isn't England class, but he'd tear some the full backs in this division new arseholes. Exactly what I think. It seems almost certain that :sge: would try this, in my mind. Not sure how we beat Fulham to this but worth a shot. Just need Given and a LB now
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Think he's average for the Premier League and isn't England class, but he'd tear some the full backs in this division new arseholes. Thats easy to say, but he did fook all against us in the Cup last week.
edwbon Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 According to the Sunday Mirror, Bolton are favourites to get him.
Lesta Legend Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 He would be the holy grail of a right sided midfielder that we need to get that balance finally and he would more than capable in this league no matter what some of you sceptics think I'd say your source is talking bollocks though
David Guiza Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 It's probably a load of crap but if it did happen how can people slate SWP, he is not the same player he once was and yes he's overrated. But he is miles better then Dyer and would be quality in this division.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Although he's been shit for England in the past and hasn't done particularly well for the teams in the Prem he's played for, we have to remember we are in the Championship and play lower quality football week in week out. He'd do very well at this level and would certainly add to the team we have. The constant flow of games would also be a big help for him finding his best form.
Fox1651 Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Its unlikely i know but SWP would be an awesome signing for Leicester
coale39 Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 This isnt gonna happen surely? Hes in the England squad?!
Dylan Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Very unlikely. But would be a great move if true. He'd be great for championship.
