Edmund Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Pick Your MOTM Against The FoxesPosted on: Sat 12 Feb 2011 Derby County supporters can vote for their Man of the Match at every home game this season, including today's local derby with Leicester City, with the chance to meet their star man up for grabs! The Rams' text messaging partner, Collstream, hosts the service. At every first-team game at Pride Park Stadium one lucky DCFC fan who votes for the Man of the Match will be chosen at random to win the opportunity to meet their star man at a future home game and receive a signed photo of the player. It is simple to register your vote, all you have to do is:- * Text MOM, followed by the number of your selected player, followed by your full name to 60070 * e.g. MOM 9 John Smith * You must vote before the 80th minute in order for your vote to be counted * You will then receive a text message back from Collstream thanking you for your vote * Should you vote incorrectly, Collstream will send you a message asking you to correct your vote * Messages will be charged at your standard network rate The Man of the Match will be announced over the PA system towards the end of today's game.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 And how is that arrogant? A lot of teams have a 'pick your MOTM,' it nowhere states that they'll pick the MOTM when they beat us or anything like that. We could be 4-0 up and they'll still announce a Derby MOTM probably. Don't see what the fuss is to be honest.
DB11 Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 * You must vote before the 80th minute in order for your vote to be counted How does that work?
Edmund Posted 12 February 2011 Author Posted 12 February 2011 * You must vote before the 80th minute in order for your vote to be counted How does that work? Translates to : Text before the 80th minute so we can start counting all the money we've made out of this marketing spinner.
Fox You Forest Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 The way they're going they could do with big John Smith up top.
shailen Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 How is this arrogant? Its just a way for the sheep to make a bit more money, marketing ploy
Ashley Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 On 606 forums someone started a topic asking other derby fans to vote for Cywka(sp?) after recent comments made by Nigel Clough.
Edmund Posted 12 February 2011 Author Posted 12 February 2011 On 606 forums someone started a topic asking other derby fans to vote for Cywka(sp?) after recent comments made by Nigel Clough. Maybe it was a clever ploy by Clough to raise a few funds via text for a new striker
Guest Bilo Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Text en masse for Cywka people. Or not, it just enables the Sheep to make money and skint is much funnier when Derby are involved.
Finnegan Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 skint is much funnier when Derby are involved. Hang on, I'm just getting my football ethics work book out. I need to write this one down. So, tinpot, backwater clubs going bankrupt - social travesty, a damning indictment of modern football. Clubs you don't really like going bankrupt - hiLOLrious.

Not bankrupt, I don't think any fan wants to see any club go under. But skint is different.

Yeah with you on that one, i would love to see F****t down on their knees financially as i really really intensely dislike them but wouldnt necessarily want them out of business (although i would laugh my man boobs off!!! Only joking before the morally serious people out there get on their high horses etc etc)

Vlad the Fox Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 if they went bust I'd hate the block of flats or supermarket they built on the ground. Might even make the odd trip to sing 'your not very good' at the meat counter.
MPH Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 im guessing what Edmund meant by being arrogant was that they would play well enough to have THE man of the match instead of THEIR man of the match...
Guest Bilo Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Winning best Derby player today would be like winning Slimmer of the Year at the local sumo wrestler centre. Literally nobody stood out for them.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 I wonder who the Derby fans voted for Bamba's bump
