MPH Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 I was just sitting here thinking.... Sven has signed some amazing players. absolute quality. But he has often said its been difficult to get players to drop down to this division. So that begs the question.... Just how good will the players be that he signs WHEN we get to the prem?
Foxybeaver Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 The only reason Santa Cruz and Keane didn't sign for us was because where in the championship so that quality of player would most likely end up with us in the premiership

Wonder who they could be! Beginning to get very excited about the future!
Jackirius Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Most of the clubs have loaned them to us because they didn't want to loan/sell to rivals, so it may be harder in that aspect.

Thracian Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Agreed. Just grateful we have someone like Sven so long gone are the days of Peter Canero's or Josh low's haha Josh "All Time" Low - what a memory. Our football was more suited to Viccy Park than the Walkers Stadium.
Jakemoore Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Most of the clubs have loaned them to us because they didn't want to loan/sell to rivals, so it may be harder in that aspect. The players we've signed are either out of favour at theit parent clubs or are young prospects so therefore we should be able sign one or two permently WHEN we go up.
ajthefox Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 No doubt we'll get players of a higher caliber but it isn't all going to be easier, players might be more willing but clubs may be less willing to sell/loan to a rival. Litster Your sig is brill btw mate.

Edmund Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Our football was more suited to Viccy Park than the Walkers Stadium. The only worry about all these loan players is we'll be held to ransom if we try to secure any of them on a perm. If we don't get promoted this season Naughton will be playing in the prem next season.

Jake Shapiro Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 SVEN will take care of this guys. There is nothing to worry about. But srsly I wonder if we can still keep the team quality and attract some quality players or just get stuck in the bottom of the table. Not sure if with all the signings that sven did we can actually do a bit better that blackpool or at least as well as they are doing so far. Its so hard to compare the quality between very good team on championship level and team located in bottom table prem

Its so hard to compare the quality between very good team on championship level and team located in bottom table prem If this is how much money the new owners are wiling to spend to get to the prem, im absolutely sure they will spend a much larger amount of money to stay there.. otherwise it will of been money wasted and reputation damaged... they originally went on record as saying this was about helping to raise the profile of their King Power group. We may well get a wage cap but it will be more than double what Blackpools is - we are already spending that on Kyle Naughton alone -
FeedtheYak Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Aren't the new rules FIFA implementing mean we can't spend an awful lot of money or we can't compete in europe?
B52 Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 The only reason Santa Cruz and Keane didn't sign for us was because where in the championship so that quality of player would most likely end up with us in the premiership Santa Cruz and Keane was good enough at Championship level. We'll breeze by that kind of level if we reach the PL. Get it?? Santa Cruz and Keane didn't and their screwed, Sven knows who cares....
shailen Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Lets get to the premiership first, still a long way to.go.
harryboi72 Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Lets get to the premiership first, still a long way to.go. well said once we get to the prem we can think about who we will sign but untill then theres no point
