StanSP Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Cba (can't be arsed). I hate it when people use it in a sentence as if it's a proper abbreviation like UNICEF or NASA i.e. 'I don't want to. I cba right now.' Again, makes you sound like an absolute fool.

StanSP Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Oh my. I don't know if it's worse or not. But it's bad. Really bad!
Ozwin Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 'Jokes' For example: "lildave is a nobhead, jokes' Shoot me now.
Alexikokopops Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 I hate people which correct others on their spelling and grammar, annoying. "...people who...", not "...people which..."
Finnegan Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 'Jokes' For example: "lildave is a nobhead, jokes' Shoot me now. I don't quite use it in that context, but that is one of the Londonisms I picked up living there from a bunch of my friends. "That was jokes" or "did you see X?", "Yeah, jokes." The other one was "Seen." As in, "Going down the pub for seven" "yeah seen." I hate myself.
The Padster Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 I can't believe so many poeple find "****" so offensive. Apart from my mother nobody else finds this word offensive, although when I was a kid I called me mam a "mare" and got a proper beating for it. I've never used that as an insult again. Edit: Ok now cnut is deleted on here.

Edit: Ok now cnut is deleted on here. They're just words at the end of the day. Alright I won't use them when I'm in public or around kids (Steady!) etc, but I don't find swear words in general offensive, let alone one more than another. C**t is often a good word to describe someone who's a real baaaaarstard so why do some people find that more offensive than "Oh s**t'? I find derogatory terms more offensive tbh.
Poakey Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Another good one. For some reason people on my Facebook put 'small' in front of shit. 'Last night was quality, small hungover?' This is why I no longer use facebook
ozleicester Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 The" c" word is pretty much irrelevant to me, same applies to almost all words... EXCEPT, the one that has probably been used in this thread more than any other and is the one i dislike more than any other... H*TE. All the other words are mostly just fillers... but that word is filled with all that is bad and sad.
FoxyPV Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Like and totally E.g. I, like, know what you mean. - I went to the shop, like. I "totally" understand that or just as a response to any given statement - I went to the shop - "totally" **** OFF
MikeyT Posted 20 February 2011 Author Posted 20 February 2011 Sphincter.. just not a fan really Haha pleasant.
Leicfox Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 My wife calling me either "Hun" or "Sweetheart"
MikeyT Posted 20 February 2011 Author Posted 20 February 2011 My wife calling me either "Hun" or "Sweetheart" That seems to be an internet thing for me. Get called it no end online, but when i actually meet my friends in real life i never hear them use it to me or anyone else, ever.
Winnie_the_fox Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 'Meal' 'Epic' 'Random' These worke evoke massive reactions in me.
MikeyT Posted 20 February 2011 Author Posted 20 February 2011 'Meal' 'Epic' 'Random' These worke evoke massive reactions in me. Why meal? Can understand the other too. Bit baffled by meal though.
Guest Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 'Meal' 'Epic' 'Random' These worke evoke massive reactions in me. Meal? The others I understand how annoying they can be but I've never heard meal used other than in it's correct context.
Phube Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 The word "Scan"... As in: "He went for a scan" ARRRRRGHH!!!!! What kind of scan... there are loads and loads! X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine.. plus the thousands of sub-sets within!!
AoWW Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 The word "Scan"... As in: "He went for a scan" ARRRRRGHH!!!!! What kind of scan... there are loads and loads! X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine.. plus the thousands of sub-sets within!! Pedantic geek.
Phube Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Pedantic geek. It's like someone asking what you do and you saying "Job". Grrrrr....
ajthefox Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Meal? The others I understand how annoying they can be but I've never heard meal used other than in it's correct context. I've heard it used as a word for a fit bird before.
MikeyT Posted 20 February 2011 Author Posted 20 February 2011 I've heard it used as a word for a fit bird before. Thats a new one. Never heard that before. Only way i've heard meal used before other than the obvious is when someone says "they are making a meal of that".
Phube Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Fit - to mean good looking! Just pees me off! I've heard it used as a word for a fit bird before.
