Kingy getting the standard 'anonymous' comments. No surprise. He passed well enough, got into dangerous positions quite a few times. I noticed whenever anyone was getting on the end of anything and it wasn't Yak or Vassell it was always Kingy. Not exceptional but did what he does well IMO.

Ricardo - 6 let the goal in under his legs and so should have done better but other than that was fine.. weale aint coming back in so people should move on.. if sven dont like a player he dont like them..

Naughton - 8 constant threat.. great game

Bamba- 7 tried too hard couple times gave away silly fouls but otherwise good display again

Bruma - 6 did ok.. seems sven likes him so will play him no matter what now..

PVA - 3. garbage today... wasted so many chances.. tried to be clever to often rather than simple cross in the box also..

Wellens - 6 shown signs of getting back to his recent good displays..

King - 6 seemed to get bit more involved in the simple things today but didnt pop up anywhere to cause damage

Abe - 7 thought he had decent game.. glad to see him back.. made some decent passes and finds space well

Gallagher - 5 poor game today..

Yakubu - 5 didnt do much, held it up few times well, needs to show more presence..

Vassell - 7 thought he did well also.. twisting and turning his man alot. wasted out wide though..

had marlon king 1st goal scorer n leciester to win 2/1 @ 70/1 so was gona give the while team a 1 for not getting another but....

Ricardo -5- Don't have much confidence in him. Seems an accident waiting to happen. Not sure how their goal went in.

Naughton -8- Cracking goal with his left foot. Excellent game

Bamba -7- Good but not at his best

Bruma -7- Much better in second half. He is much quicker than Mee.

van Aanholt -5- Skinned in move for their goal. Wasteful when attacking.

Abe -6- Adequate

Wellens -8- Some superb balls

King -6- Pretty anonymous

Vassell -7- Dangerous. When he lost the ball, he ran & got it back (unlike Yak)

Yakubu -5- Missed two golden chances in first 5 minutes. Lazy. Would have taken him off & moved Vassell to middle.

Gallagher -5- Not on his game at all

SUBS:

Dyer -6- Ran hard but no end product

Waghorn -6- Tried

Oakley -6- OK but only on for a few minutes

Ricardo - 6 - didnt have a lot to do, will be busier next week at Loftus Road, still hard to see what he has brought to the rearguard and hard to see what he has over and above weale..

Naughton - 8 - If I could pick one of the loans to sign then its this lad, top drawer finish aswell.

Bamba - 7 - Given the run around first half by the sex pest, but gradually got to grips with him.

Bruma - 7 - reasonably comfortable

Van Aanholt -3 - Not even a poor mans ashley cole, headless chicken, crosses find row G and defend? Bruno back please for QPR, he's this seasons ryan mcgivern.

Abe - 6 - Average, needed to put a foot in at times but didnt.

Wellens - 6 - Ok but not the inspired richie wellens of January.,

King - 5.5 - Not one of his better days

Vassell - 6 - Ran a lot but seems to have lost those shooting boots.

Yakubu - 4 - 2nd half was borderline Bednar.

Gallagher - 4 - Confused by PVA being 80 yards upfield in his position, and wasteful, contribution virtually nil.

Ricardo 6 - Did well to be fair catched some decent high balls, just a shame he cost us a goal

Naughton 9 - Flaming fantastic caused problems all game, good goal aswell just excellent

Bruma 7 - Thought he was mediorce at best, but his performance grew and did well

Bamba 7 - Same as Bruma mediorce first half, but second half he showed us why he is a fans fave

Van Shitholt 5 - He was so frustrating, still struggled defensively and some of his shots and crosses were woeful...BRUNO

Abe 6 - Not a bad game from Yuki but he never stands out though, same again today

Wellens 8 - Love this man, so much passion to get on the ball and make stuff happen

King 6 - Where was he today, got closed down well but when on the ball nothing really to shout about

Vassell 8 - He has some weird spells, five games without playing well then he suddenly springs to life decent performance

Yakubu 6 - Two one on one's in the first half missed them both, held ball up well but other than that poor

Gallagher 6 - Wasn't even in the game, but im not going to blame him I blame Van Aanholt for not giving Gally enough service

Subs all 5 to 6

Ricardo 5 - most under 13 keepers would save that.

Naughton 8 - best player by far.

PVA 4 - made all the wrong decisions today.

Bamba 7

Bruma 7

King 4 - needs a rest.

Wellens 6 - best of a bad bunch.

Abe 5.

Vassell 5 - every team has a managers love child.

Gallagher 5 - should nickname him bottle. Bottles so many tackles.

Yak 6 - could've had 2 maybe three, always a threat though.

Big changes need to be made for next week.

yh i do notice and in todays game it was **** all oakley aint amazing but id rather see him in the team than abe atm

Ricardo - 6 - did alright, the goal went through his legs and he was a split second too slow in closing them

Naughton - 9 - beating their left side for fun today and a great goal

Bruma - 7 - looked nervous at the start, much better in second half, and he tries to direct his headers towards our players rather than aimlessly head it clear

Bamba - 7 - mixed bag did some good things, but struggled with their front two in the air

Van Aanholt - 6 - not as bad as some making out, may have misplaced/hit a couple of crosses but also put in a couple of great balls across the six yard box.

Abe - 7 - probably the best of the midifeld today, sprayed some lovely passes and was unlucky not to score

Wellens - 6 - his free kicks constatly frustrate me as he always tries to play it quick but I can't remember us profiting from one ever. Not quite his usual dominant self

King - 5 - made a couple of decent passes, but too often he stands on the edge of the area and does not join in with the build up play and shirks challenges.

Gallagher - 5 - missed a couple of chances, and too often drifts inside leaving the full back without a pass.

Vassell - 8 - thought he showed today that he can play on the wing. Beat their full back all day long and linked up well with Naughton, very rarely gives the ball away and won quite a few tackles.

Yakubu - 5 - should probably have done better when one on one, but Westwood came out early and made it harder for him, looked like he should have had a pen from where I was sitting.

Dyer - 5 - failed to actually get the ball in when he beat a man and doesn't stick to his position enough. Could have done better when he got a toe on a van aanholt cross.

Waghorn - 6 - terrible corners

Oakley - 6 - not on long but kept possession okay

Tell me what you think Oakley offers that Abe doesn't.

Posted

Because Oakley has had one good game against Derby and has been diabolical in every other game. And Abe is performing, the amount of running around and closing opposition is a great asset that players are not credited enough for.

tbh neither shud play, weve got nobody who can play the holding role so i think we shud go to 4-4-2 and play

Ricardo - 6 - Didn't have much to do. Could have caught a few more than he did but otherwise he did ok.

Naughton - 8 - MOTM. Decent goal.

Bamba - 6 - Did not command the back line today. Looked out of sorts.

Bruma - 5.5 - All over the place 1st half. Better 2nd.

PVA - 5 - Put the effort in but nothing came off. Nothing at all.

Abe - 7.5 - Tidy. Looked decent all game.

Wellens - 6 - Hit and miss.

King - ? - Did he play today? He was mentioned on the team sheet before the game, but I never noticed him.

Vassell - 6 - Few tricks but nothing came of it. Beginning to feel that he would be better used in a plan B scenario but we don't seem to have one.

Yakubu - 4 - Yes "he's quality, yes "he has ability", yes this, yes that, but it doesn't excuse what was a woeful performance. Sorry.

Gallagher - 5 - Again, nothing came off. Tried. That's about it.

Subs:

Ineffective.

If the system doesn't suit playing direct, hoofball tactics to one man all game as was the case today, then it needs changing. No plan B. Just a change of personnel. Worrying.

Hopefully we fare better against the decent teams starting with QPR and Norwich next week.

He had a good game today. Was one of our best players, and even though he is being played out of position he does well with what he gets.

Yuki had a good first 20 mins then drifted out and then slowly came back in but people don't realize how much work Abe actually does in sitting behind Wellens and King to pick up on the loose balls and support the defense. did anybody else realize that Wellens had a better game today than he has been over the last few games?- the game where Abe is in midfield with him again. Abe is the work behind wellens success
