Ricardo - 7 - didn't have much to do and hasn't done a lot wrong - just a shame some fans refuse to give him a fair crack of the whip.

Naughton - 8.5 - did everything you could ask of a full back, defended well, pushed forward frequently and scored an absolute corker of a goal.

Bruma - 6.5 - played at an acceptable level but i don't see why mee was dropped for him

Bamba - 6.5 - comfortable on the ball

Van aanholt - 5 - fairly poor, defensively he was at fault for their goal while going foward his final ball was lacking and so was his decision making - why take that chance away from king late on in the second half?

Abe - 7.5 - unlucky not to score in the first half, looked better for having had a rest.

King - 6.5 - didn't get much going foward

Wellens - 7.5 - still playing fairly well but seems to be in need of a rest

Vassell - 6.5 - caused their full back problems on occassion but not a goal threat unless playing down the centre.

Gallagher - 5.5 - missed some good chances and never really influenced the game

Yakubu - 5.5 - handed some good chances and a player of his quality should be finishing those.

Ricardo: 6----Shocker 1st half, ok for the rest

Naughton: 8----Brilliant, great goal, good attacking and defending

PVA: 5.5-----Poor, very should of scored and his crossing was else where today, not a big fan of him these days

Bamba: 6.5---got caught out a fair fee times, still solid

Bruma: 7----solid at the back, won a lot in the air

Abe: 6.5---got caught out several times in the midfield, good passing, and should of scored in 1st half when 1v1

Wellens: 6.5----same as Abe, but he didnt have the 1v1

King: 6.5----nice passes and did alight to be fair to the guy, still bit "ghostly" though

Vassell: 7.5---1st half looked dangerous and ran his socks off, good in the air

Gally: 6----so so

Yakubu: 5----still lazy, however seemed to run a bit more in the 2nd half

Dyer: 6---thought he would make an impact, he did, but not as much as i would hoped, got 1v1 a couple of times with Westwood

Ricardo 6 : not much to do, could have done a lot better with the goal, still feel nervous whenever the ball goes near him.

Naughton 8.5 : Brilliant. Best player on the pitch today, their left back got subbed because of Naughton's attacking threat, suberb strike too.

Bamba 7.5 : Not too troubled by king, lost the ball with his feet a few times, but so powerful in the air

Bruma 7 : looks a good player and good on the ball too, could have tracked king better for the goal though i think?

Van Aanholt 5: Lacks composure in the final third, guilty of wasting some good crossing opportunities and could/should have got a goal in the 2nd half too.

Abe 6: Did ok today, nothing special, nothing too bad either. I feel he works well with King and Wellens, best midfield 3 for me.

Wellens 8: Ran the show in midfield today, spraying some lovely passes crossfield.

King 7: Got forward and supported well

Vassell 7: Caused their defenders problems and was our best forward today, made some good runs off the ball to free up space for Naughton. Worked very hard today.

Yakubu 5.5: A player of his standard should not be missing chances like that.

Gallagher 6: Ok, should have scored but got under the shot, some good balls put into the box.

Subs: Dyer 5: not much chance to do much, got behind their defence once and we should have scored from his pull back.

Waghorn 5: Would much prefer him down the middle than wide right! Again, very little time to shine

Van aanholt - 4 - Bloody awful, have no idea why this guy's in the team in a back 4... he's a wing back in a back 5, but never, ever a full back in a back 4. Defensively clueless

Abe - 8 - Looked good, nice to see him back & Wellens looked better for it

King - 6 - Steady, wasn't poor & wasn't great

Wellens - 8 - Looks a bit leggy & could do with a week off, but did some good stuff

Vassell - 6 - Wasted out wide but always going to be 2nd choice to Yak down the middle
