Jackirius Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 I say we just buy all those 3 strikers and play 5 up front and just try and score teams into submission.
Ashley Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 I bet one of the strikers was the youngster from Chelsea who's just signed for Swansea on loan, Bor(something, forgot his name... )
mattw1 Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 Borini? Theres no way he's better than the Yak anyway, why does Sven even want a new striker? Realistically it's going to take 2 or 3 games to 'settle in' which we simply cant afford, seems like a waste of time and money to me if it is indeed a striker.
Bugg Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 I would prefer us to sign a winger or central midfielder instead of a striker tbh.

Perfect Scenario to start looking for next season.
1991FOX Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 I reckon one of the strikers could be jason roberts, sven tried to sign him earlier in the season. Just an educated guess
jamiegoode Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 nah jason robs not big [im thinking what would Sven call a big signing??] got to be a prem / euro big shot someone whos out of favour with there team atm
Tommy G Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 This is embaressing - 22 pages and we haven't even signed anyone!
jamiegoode Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 i bet Svens sat with his laptop [with free to view porn on the TV, while 1 women pole dances for him and he eats caviar off anotherand laughing at all of us for craming ourselves and desperate to find out[maybe its an early april fools!
jamiegoode Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 i was googling for info and found a website [reporters and footie commentors thingy, and micheal owen was thrown about but most said he'd want full wages and game time plus if he stays injury free]
Nick Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 When will you realise we're getting no one? Probably around the same time you start providing some evidence for your statement posting?
thybluefox Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 Probably around the same time you start providing some evidence for your statement posting? Firstly, this story broke at the start of the week and nothing has happened yet, secondly it was said that we'd be getting them in time to play Pompey tomorrow and that won't be happening, and thirdly this isn't the first time a story like this has broken and then just fizzled out into glorious nothingness. If it was going to happen it would have happened 24-48 hours after we originally all heard about it, so Wednesday by the latest. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to get in a quality player to help us in the final push, and I'd happily, happily be proven wrong, but lets face it mate, its not looking promising is it? Nothing wrong with a healthy dose of realism, especially as its pretty scarce around these parts. Oh, hi Miroslav!

Like the Mandric takeover for example or the ratification of the Thai takeover or Yuki Abe's transfer. All happened the second it was announced. Oh no hang on.................
Trav Le Bleu Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 had to put the madness to rest Ah, a mercy killing. Top job.

Because buying a football club happens at the same speed as getting a player on loan dont it.??!!

Buying a club is a tiny bit different to loaning 1 player. It doesn't take 5+ days to sort out a loan if, as we were lead to believe, someone was on the verge of signing and would be ready for the Pompey game. Oh hang on, that's tomorrow! I'd love to be proven wrong, but I can't see it happening.
artursteppe Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 When will you realise we're getting no one? It will probably be Kamara, who is out of contract at the end of the season. Sven probably negotiating a long term deal with the player's representatives whether we're in the Prem' or not next season. Sorry to put a bit of real perspective amongst all this craziness.
CKB Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 had to put the madness to rest The madness will never end trust me! even if Klose signed for another German side today people would still be like "he's still on his way" "he's deffo signing for us later" "this is just a smoke screen, Klose is a Leicester player mark my words" "saw Klose down the Walkers, it's happening people" etc, etc, etc haha

Doubtful, all that stuff could be sorted in the summer when we know where we'll be playing next year, just like Naughton, Mee, Yakubu etc. They wouldn't delay the loan signing to sort out a contract for next season full of a hundred "what if's".

And where has this rational thought come from all of a sudden about the length of time the takeovers took? At the time it was just panic stations thinking something was going wrong? In regards to the signing (if it happens), Kamara would be a great impact sub or a good alternative to Vassell. He certainly doesnt have the tools to replace the Yak.
MikeyT Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 From Stringers Twitter last night: Sven says Kamara is 'one of the players on his list' and he confirms he's interested in signing him. #lcfc have spoken to 3 clubs re striker Sven also confirmed he HAS NOT approached Bayern Munich for Klose although did say if he wants to come to The Walkers Stadium he's welcome

MikeyT Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 you're about 1 day too late with the breaking news Meh. I couldn't be bothered to trail back through copious amounts of pages to see.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 ive heard a rumour we are getting "kaka" on loan with a view to a permanent in the summer
