ithuriel Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 none of them to be honest, rather have kevin poole as he was if i had to have one of these in goal, 1=weale 2=ricardo 3=logan
Finnegan Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Weale is shit. Ricardo is past it but at least distributes ok.
Dames Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 A chimp hanging off the crossbar would save more long range shots than the 3 of them. Otherwise i'll say Weale. Other than the complete inability to save a shot from outside the box every other aspect of his game is pretty sound. Ricardo is a disaster in waiting and when that happens the fans will tear him a new one. Other than that he tends to flap at crosses way too often. Logan, well he's been here a while now and i don't think he's cut out for this level. Sheff Weds at home a few seasons ago comes to mind where he was immobile for all 4 long range goals.. I'm not entirely sure he can jump actually. He'll have a good career at a lower level though, seems to do well for League 2 teams. A new keeper for next season please.
AdamN Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Ricardo is a disaster in waiting and when that happens the fans will tear him a new one. I think we've already got to that stage. The thing that annoyed me about Tuesday night is the fact that Weale seemingly 'got away' with things Ricardo would have been slaughtered for, and was cheered for when he did really basic things right - the kind of things you expect a professional keeper to be able to do with their bootlaces tied. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying cheering our players is in any way a bad thing, but it irks me a little when Ricardo, who really hasn't been as bad as some have made out, gets ripped into every time he does something that isn't absolutely perfect, yet Weale can seemingly get away with murder. It's the classic case of fans approaching the game with their opinions about everyone already formed, unwilling to give criticism to players they love and unwilling to give praise to players they hate.
lcfc jack lcfc Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Logan kept another clean sheet today in league 1....
lcfc jack lcfc Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Weale is shit. Ricardo is past it but at least distributes ok. least weale saves the ball the amount of mistakes ricardo has made is untrue. We only play him and signed him because of what he was not what he is now. none of them to be honest, rather have kevin poole as he was if i had to have one of these in goal, 1=weale 2=ricardo 3=logan mate i go and see kevin pooole at burton hes in fine form.
ScouseFox Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 least weale saves the ball the amount of mistakes ricardo has made is untrue. Did a fine job saving Scannell's shot on Tuesday. And Emnes' shot at Boro. And any shot taken from 20 yards.
Finnegan Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Weale is a decent reflex shot stopper but anyone convinced his skillset beyond that is anything better than Champ midtable is kidding themselves. The Weale fan culture here baffles me. He is the most celebrated mediocre squad player we have had in years.

hackneyfox Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 The list is endless Henderson McCarthy Kisnorbo Hume Fryatt Morrisson Hobbs (perhaps) Dyer Weale
hackneyfox Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 least weale saves the ball the amount of mistakes ricardo has made is untrue. We only play him and signed him because of what he was not what he is now. What can you say? Care to name the mistakes that Ricardo has made. Did Weale save the ball against Palace the other day. How many was he responsible for against Borough with his distribution and poor saves from distance? Weale, on his day, can be a good goalie, but his good days don't come regularly enough for me and he has never been able to distribute well. Ricardo enables us to build with pace from the back, we have 2 fast fullbacks so Ricardo fits with them. We need 2 new goalies for next season.
Simmo86 Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 The list is endless Henderson McCarthy Kisnorbo Hume Fryatt Morrisson Hobbs (perhaps) Dyer Weale Made me laugh when people cheered that coont on tuesday......he's another shining example of some of the absolute shitbags we've had play for us in the recent years!
Finnegan Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 The list is endless Henderson McCarthy Kisnorbo Hume Fryatt Morrisson Hobbs (perhaps) Dyer Weale Hendo, McCarthy and Kisnorbo got no way near the same overprotective lovefest that Weale gets. Fryatt and Hobbs were and are actually good, top-end Championship players while Dyer and Morrison were effective and productive for us whilst maintaining a reasonable fanbase within our support. Hume's the only one of those I'd say is comparable and was in fact who I had in mind for our last ridiculous "fan-favourite." He and Joey Gudjonsson.
Guest Col city fan Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Who would be your preferred keeper out of the ones we have? None of them are good enough for us to get to where we want to be.... It's that simple
