Yes, the whole household has taken a bit of a bet for banter.

As none of us know a bloody thing about horse racing, other than the fact they have 4 legs, a head and a crocodile can keep up with them over a short distance, we have opted to place a single pound on each, as follows.

Me - Midnight Club 10/1

Other half - Quinz - 12/1

Daughter - Character building -20/1

Outside bet - Royal Rosa - 100/1

I fully expect to lose £4 as well.

Always bet on the National, have done since I was about 10 I think.

Bluesea Cracker 20/1

Grand Slam Hero 80/1

Majestic Concorde 28/1

The Tother One 50/1

What a Friend 12/1

All £2 to win.

Then every year I stick £1 on the one with longest odds at the time I bet, so I've got Quolibet at 150/1

Wasn't going to but Mrs FoxyPV wants to bet so I'll have to go round to the bookies.

Me - The Midnight Club + Don't push it - both e/w

Her - Calgary Bay e/w

Didn't have enough money to back both and chose The midnight club <_<

I picked the winner, decent.

Sad about the two horses who died though, could clearly see them on the ground in front of the two fences that were omitted.

Can some one post the top 5 for me please?

1 Ballabriggs (14-1)

2 Oscar Time (14-1)

3 Don't Push It (9-1)

4 State Of Play (28-1)

5 Niche Market (16-1)

I had a small e/w bet on Santas Son.

Started to get confident by fence 15 cos he was going beautifully, right at the front for ages but then it went tits up.

I win £30 backing the winner and think I'm the don of horse racing.

Just found out my mate's won £195.

Oh well, at least I won't be the first port of call when everyone's glasses are empty tonight.

Saw a small statuette of an Oscars award in town today and then got back and saw Oscar Time at 14/1...

I then proceeded to think, why not, I'll put £10 on that E/W.

Not a huge winnings at £12.50, but for my first ever bet on anything, it's not too shoddy! :D

Had Don't Push It e/w and wasn't going to but I won on the first race (Sprit Son) so had an extra e/w bet on Oscar Time too, so the money I lost betting on Thursday/Friday I think i've broke even now, maybe even £1 or £2 up! lol
