We aren't good enough to get promotion, sven's made some poor decisions and you're moaning about someone highlighting this. Your thread is a whine

No it's not.

We are shit...

Sven is shit..

He hasn't won anything for 10 billion years..

He can't spot a player..

Even though he had no pre season he should have been able to buy a full squad of players...

This is quite funny actually! But what I really hope is all of us..Col City Fan included..would just back our manager (whoever it is..and the fact that its an ex-Eng manager with 25 trophies to his name helps!) on the basis of the agreement the manager and owners have...PL FOOTBALL AFTER NEXT SEASON! If he fails to deliver that kick the man out..untill then back him..we will have ups and downs..but no point debating every 2 games if he is the man for the job or not. If the owners feel they have the wrong man..let them sack him..but my personal opinion is that will be our loss more than his.

Name any manager that's in the championship then, that has won the UEFA cup, and managed England?

The only bad move Sven has made is messing the defence around when it doesn't need messing around.

Every manager has favorites. This isn't new in football.

Other than this how has Sven done a bad job?

When he came in he had a squad low on confidence and a team filled with a few good players surrounded by some distinctly below average ones. He's gone on to make some quality loan signings and steadied the ship after a horrible start to the season and had us in the hunt for the play offs until 2 weeks ago (Its still mathmatically possible now but we need a massive slice of luck). I'm gunna put my neck out here and say that our fans have some deep rooted racism of sorts because the only players that have been getting it in the neck lately are the foreign loan players (Yakubu, PVA, Bruma) Ricardo and Oakley (But he's been a scapegoat for yonks). I honestly don't see Steve Howard legging it around as much as Yakubu but he doesn't get branded as lazy... He certainly doesn't score as many goals either.

Back to Sven though, he's made signings of a quality that we wouldn't have got even if we went up last year under Pearson. He's got us playing decent football (Yes the defending is dodgy at times surely it won't be long until he realises that) and up until lately we've been getting the results. Every team has a bad run and sadly were having ours now i'm very certain that given a full summer Sven will build a decent team and we'll have a good season. He was brought in to save our season and he has.

And really what other alternative is there? I really don't want to go back to the days when we had duffers like Megson as our manager and Carl Cort was a stellar signing.

No thanks.

I applaud your effort there but the ****** on this forum do not listen to reason. I've posted something like that plenty of times and not once do they take it into account. Everything you said is completely right but peterborofox and col city will not be having a valid argument.

Got to say I do laugh every time I see someone say "why does Sven pick his favourites"... because he thinks they are better obviously. It usually comes from people who think the sun shines out the arse of Weale, Waghorn, Hobbs and Fryatt though.

Agreed. The thing is, we can and should be debating things like playing 11, HT team talks, substitutions, tactics etc..thats our right! But every 2 games when we go back to 'is this manager right for us' it takes us back to square 1..and I can't see why many people here don't get that.

The thing that frustrates us is that players seem to get dropped after playing well. It's happened recently to weale, vitor and mee. Most of us have either played in a team or followed a team where if a player plays well, they retain their place. This simply doesn't happen under Sven and when the team go on to get a poor result, questions are going to be asked.

Except for the Palace game where no changes were made from the excellent Burnley result... and we all know what happened in that game.

I like Sven; even if he hasn't got great experience in the championship, I think we'd be hard pressed to get a better manager. I like that he favours a more attractive style of football, rather then hoofing it up the pitch for Howard.

However, I am worried about a few of his selections. I'm not pretending to be an expert manager (except on fifa!), but some of his decisions are frustrating. The Bamba/Mee partnership always seems to work well, so why change it? And again, Vitor plays well, scores 2 goals, and is replaced by Bruma? Some things just don't seem to add up. He's done fairly well; not amazingly as some like to think (I'm not sure we'd be in the playoffs anymore if Season started when Sven took over?) but not badly.

It's far too early to start calling for his head; give him till the end of next season, see if he can work his magic. Should have more experience against the teams in the championship then at least!

****** , WHAT A LAUGH . that makes u a disabled as well , just because they dont agree with what u say they are ****** , i bet they wear the shirt with pride , JUST LIKE U disabled , and when they put that shirt on they are full of passion something u dont see on the pitch , no passion , no loyalty , how many players do u think really care when we lose , probably count em on 1 hand , loan players stink , they dont care , all leicester fans wear the shirt with pride , and when we lose they are angry and these boards let them get rid of some of their frustrations ,

All of them. No-one likes to lose. You might feel bad watching your team lose, but if you're playing for the losing team, I can almost guarantee you'l feel worse.

so u think they suffer do u , get real , loan players are loaned out because they cannot get a first team place , do u think they would be loaned out by their clubs if they were good ? and i`m sure all those suffering loan players we have will be smiling again when they get their massive wage packets,

Regardless of whether they're good or not, what does that have to do with whether they care if they lose....?

and i`m sure all those suffering loan players we have will be smiling again when they get their massive wage packets,

You're basing this on what? Get real, it's an idiotic thing to say whenever we don't win it's because "the players didn't want to win". Everyone wants to win, why would they possibly want to lose? If "passion" made you a great footballer then people on these boards would be playing for Leicester. Sometimes you just don't play well enough, it doesn't mean you didn't want it.

Stupid argument.

So all loan players are shit because they're loanees? Idiot.

Why on earth do you need to have a go at these players? Until Sven took over none of the three mentioned here wanted to leave the club. Hobbs was our player of the season, fryatt our top scorer and waghorn a very expensive young signing with a bright future...

None of them indicated they wanted to go and at that time wanted to play for Leicester city. Since the arrival of Sven they have effectively been forced out, and for what? Bruma, yakubu and kamara?

You think that this signifies a club going forward? We've replaced loyal city players who were consistently strong under a previous manager for loanees who are playing consistently badly under the new one.... Progress? Not for me it aint

Loyalty left football long ago. Its about time people lived in the present.

Theres plenty of passion, passion isn't just about running around aimlessly diving into tackles and losing your head at the slightest thing. The way the team wants to play attractive football to entertain the fans can count as passionate, a passion to entertain. It really works both ways. Players do care if they lose, everybody hates losing even if it isn't for the fans its for thier egos so yes they are disappointed when they lose.

As for the loan players only 1 of them has been below average and personally i think its more of a culture shock realising he isn't as good as he is led to believe. Also one of the loan players (Naughton) can argueably be the player of the season and about 95% of the fans would love to see him sign on a permenant. The others have all contributed quite well and despite what people say Yakubu has come in and done what he's paid to do: score goals.

Other than that if your going to vent your frustrations please do it in a civil manner and have an open mind when reading the opinions of other people. The problem with the '******' is they seem to be people with little grasp of anything that isn't thier opinion.

Fryatt wasn't as great as others made out. 1 good season at a lower level and a half decent 1 at a higher level doesn't constitute for a good player. He is a decent player but he only shown good form every other season for a short period. Other than that he was a passenger.

Waghorn isn't a loyal city player either. He only left Sunderland because they needed to recoup money from signing Gyan otherwise he wouldn't have had no interest in ever coming back. Plus this season he's been average at best.

Hobbs i agree has been given the shaft in favor of Bamba (Who still doesn't convince me). I have a feeling he'll come back next season and force his way back into reckoning.

At the end of the day wether you like it or not the team are doing pretty well without these players and i don't think we'd really be doing any better with them in the 11.

Kamara is quality

How about quoting something from the last decade?

Last time i checked my calender sven's england reign (containing England 5-1 Germany - a result in direct contrast with Capello's 4-1 defeat, 3 successive 1/4 final spots - his replacement missed out on qualification completely and the following one messed up in the Rd of 16) was in the last decade.

All of them. No-one likes to lose. You might feel bad watching your team lose, but if you're playing for the losing team, I can almost guarantee you'l feel worse.

This.

Really grates me when people suggest that just because the loanees aren't permanent players they must not care -

They are leicester players, they're playing for the shirt, they've got a point to prove - be it that they're still good enough for the prem (Yak, Kamara) or their future is bright and their parent club shouldn't just dispatch them and buy someone else (Mee, Naughton, Van Aanholt, Bruma) and so they feel the pain of defeat - perhaps not as much as supporters, but they'll still be hurting from having lost.
