broughtonblue Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 After considering all the best, blackadder, of&h, office etc, I feel my favourite has to be Fawlty Towers, still brilliant even after all these years. (only just beat of&h though) What's yours?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 Love Men behaving badly, Black Books and The Royale Family.
broughtonblue Posted 8 May 2011 Author Posted 8 May 2011 Love Men behaving badly, Black Books and The Royale Family. Yep royal family definately worth a shout. Never heard of 'black books'?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, Partridge, OR Arrested Development, all very different shows, wouldn't really be able to choose between the three. Arrested Development is so well done though, always finding new stuff to cry at. Will Arnett, David Cross and Michael Cera are all fantastic.
Haydos Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 Fawlty Towers, Black Books, The Office US, Peep Show, Only Fools and Horses are all faves of mine.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 Not Sure if you guys ever got it over there but Summer Heights High is quality
no1likepeter Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 Big fan of the office and family guy. Inbetweeners is class as well
no1likepeter Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 Is that ice cube in the top right or just a random actor
StanSP Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 Not Sure if you guys ever got it over there but Summer Heights High is quality Yep our English teacher in 6th form let us watch it every week . Brilliant programme. Not the best but still very funny I thought!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 Yep our English teacher in 6th form let us watch it every week . Brilliant programme. Not the best but still very funny I thought! Jonah makes the show for me. The creator and actor has a new show that premiers this week and it looks just as funny.
StanSP Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 Yeah I love the way Jonah would just insult his teacher no end . Nice you know what it's called? Guessing it's only available in Australia when it premieres?

Guessing it's only available in Australia when it premieres? Angry Boys, i think that the prison wardan is going to be my fav character. He also made a series before Summer Heights High called We Can Be Heroes.
ajthefox Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 I absolutely adore scrubs and it constantly has me laughing out loud so it's my favourite, but I wouldn't really say it was the best comedy ever if that makes sense.

God. Scrubs. Forgot about that. Probably my favourite ever alongside Peep Show. It's hard to clarify 'best' when you're talking about sense of humour.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 This times 10. The best ever by far. Bubbles is classic and just how trashy they are, i love it.
Uncle Phil Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 The smell of reeves and Mortimer, the young ones, Alan partridge and 15 storeys high. I'm not willing to choose just one. Garth marenghis is class too mind.
FoxyPV Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 Blackadder, Father Ted, GM's Dark Place, Scrubs, Family Guy, Simpsons and I'm sure there loads of others that I can't think of now.
Fox92 Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 I am a big fan of comedy programs (older comedy, not stuff like The Simpsons which I hate). I like to watch comedy programs all the time. I've got all of Fawlty Towers, My Family, Only Fools and Horses, Mr Bean, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em and a few episodes of The Good Life. Most people say Only Fools is the best the country has seen, it is certainly in the top three but I do love watching Fawlty Towers. Programs like this can never be out-dated. They are fantastic, and it is really hard to say which one is the best. Its not always the lines that are funny, its the way they are acted. Buster Merryfield (Uncle Albert) was a really good actor. We'll never see programs like this again because of the rights thing which is so stupid. For example, Manuel gets hit in near enough every episode of Fawlty Towers but if it was around now they'll be people straight on it calling for human cruelty or something. They'd find something.
