Craig Bryson?

Recommended Posts

Craig Bryson, 24 year old, 5' 7'' central midfield player and captain of Kilmarnock apparently has Derby, Hull, Brighton and Leicester keeping 'tabs' on him.

I'm guessing he is more forward going than defensive. Not really an exciting sounding prospect, unless anyone knows more about him. He has one full international cap from end of last year.

wasn't our last player from Kilmarnock Peter Canero?

'nuff said !

Goodwillie from dundee united is a good player, along with a few other`s not all bad players!

Anyone can look good in the Scottish leagues though, its Sunday League. Need I remind people of players like Neilson and De Vries who looked amazing up there, but in reality were'nt much cop.

Shame he is like Marlon King. Assault and rape charges I believe.

lest we forget big sol bamba came from the SPL

I was thinking exact the same thing. But now everyone seems to have turned on him and say if this rumour that Marseille are interested is true that they would take £1m and be happy, "can't see him as much more than a backup next season"

Please, no players from Scotland

Unless we can get Madjid Bougherra.

I see the fact that no-one has heard of him, seen him play or can give an informed judgement of him has stopped some people from making up their minds based on the league he came from.

Chris Smalling moved from Maidstone to Fulham. He must have been shit, he came from non-league

What does that mean, Bert? You shouldn't say things like that ( because of your influence on this site dude ), in case you are then considered to actually 'know' something which may not be what you really meant. If you see what I mean.

that bert rates bougherra?

Never heard of this bryson lad but that's untrue trav - there are a fair few good players over the border who don't play for one of the Old firm.

Buying from SPL teams (unless they're Celtic or Rangers) is like buying from League One teams.

too true. there is no money in Scottish football hence why it is always either Celtic or Rangers that win anything in the SPL/

This league is so much different to the scottish leagues. Nielson was hearts captain and was in contention for player of the season for them; he came to this league and is now and was awful all along. Personally no to and players playing in Scottish football unless they play international football, eg; sol bamba.

On the other hand, if there are decent players in Scotland they'll cost less. Sol Bamba £250k, whether you like him or not, it is highly likely we'd get more than £1m for him.

But OK, maybe you are right, maybe Sol Bamba is not worth the money we paid for him and maybe we wouldn't get a good return on our investment in him. DAAAAAH!

How does that mean there's no quality outside the old firm then?

Gordon (came through at hearts)

Dorrans (Livingston)

McArthur (Hamilton)

McFadden (Motherwell)

Brown (Started out at Hibs)

Miller (Started out at Hibs)

Boyd (Started out at Kilmanock)

S. Fletcher (Hibs)

Naismith (Kilmarnock)

and thats just players that have appeared for the national side over the past couple of years.

I was wondering whether someone would think this, but no. Just someone who I rate, and I think he's out if contract in the summer. Would be a great signing.

Well obviously I didn't mean there's NO money. just a lot less than in English leagues. Also, I don't remember saying anything about the lack of talent in Scottish football, I assume lots of players start their careers, snapped up by youth academies and the like. Further, I don't think it's an over exaggeration to say that 'most' (not all) players that are decent in the SPL are in the old firm.

Pretty over the top response to show you know bucket loads about Scottish football, chill out.

If a player comes from Scotland he must be crap but if he came from Iran or Japan or some African country people on here would be putting their names on the shirt.

I live in Dundee now and have a season ticket at Dundee Utd. Goodwillie is very skillful but very greedy. Not too much pace. Don't think he would improve what we have/ potentially get. Looks like he's Rangers bound anyway in the summer
