Matt Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 Matt- think i'm reading your post right. How have man utd bought sucess? Its an argument I have with a few people who's hatred for them blinds them from seeing things correctly. Man u happened to win the league when the premier league and consequently sky came into existance in our football world. Sure they've become mega rich compared to 15 years ago, but they became mega rich through the money injected by sky. (Whom I hate for taking the game from the working class) as opposed to becoming mega rich through an owner- ie man citeh and chelski. I really dont understand why people begrudge man utd when they're only benefitting now from their sucess 15-18ish years ago. Woah, woah, woah. I don't hate Man Utd, I quite like them, certainly my 'favourite' out the top 3 and much rather they won the Premiership than Chelsea and Arsenal, they havn't had a big sugar daddy come and buy them no, but they have got alot of money (Self made I guess, they made they own success years ago and a reaped rewards with the money it brought) arguably they do have a monopoly over signing players and could go tomorrow and buy pretty much anyone, mostly done through their own success but just made me laugh to hear this plastic speak. Anyway, back to the thread topic.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 Clive tildesly just ripped the prawn sandwich brigade. Class Clive tildesly just ripped the prawn sandwich brigade. Class. Stoke now showing us how to do 'when the _ go marching in' repeating it slowly several times
ScouseFox Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 David Silva is a superb footballer, but he seems to want way too many touches every time he's on the ball. Against West Ham, I think it was, the other week, he went through, put the keeper on his arse then turned back and tried to pass. Then there, he just needs to get a shot off, but he's taken 4 or 5 touches and not quite got it out his feet. Frustrating.
davieG Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 If Stoke win it for the first time it'll make our failure to win it seem a little bit worse (to me anyway). I've always had a soft spot for Man City as well. I'm with Webbo

Totally agree, its like he doesn't have the confidence to take the shot but on his day one of the best midfielders in the prem.
Matt Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 Why they singing swing low? Arsene Wenger called them a rugby team.
davieG Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 Why they singing swing low? Because they been likened to playing in the style of Rugby Union and are taking the piss out of themselves.
Stadt Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 It won't be comfortaable viewing in the last 10 for Stoke fans
ScouseFox Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 Final bit of pressure from Stoke, keeper up for the corner...
ScouseFox Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 Very well deserved. Stoke were shit, Man City could've won by 2/3, but i'm sure they'll settle for 1-0. Congrats.
