I could even half understand if they were out of contract in the summer. Premiership clubs won't do any business now until the season is over.

He didnt say those players were at the ground today....he said during the week Bert has spoken. Close thread please ! I trust berts opinion more then anyone else on here (except knowitall,wherever he's gone),but bert has not conclusively ruled it out........

Didnt post it for any other reason than to see what people thought about it. They were at the training ground but i didnt post it knowing i had to prove the fact, which i cant. my fault i guess

If woodgate can stay fit he could still be a class above any defender in our division and hes a natural leader, something we lack in my opinion. And ive always been impressed with petrov, especially when he was at man city. Hes got a strike and half on him and you can guarantee 10+ assists during the season and the odd goal too. BRING UM IN I SAY!!!!

When Bert mentions something it comes off 95% of the time. Perhaps if this is true (which it isn't) and has more info at a later date then he will get the same respect due. I love this time of the season and we should all just go crazy and get carried away with every rumour! I love being linked with people right, left and centre even if there's no truth in it! Lighten up and enjoy it. If we were only ever linked with people who were 100% nailed on to join us we would be linked with about five people every year and only after they had signed! Let's get excited and go with it eh? I can't wait for Beckham, Heskey, Woodgate, Scholes, Giggs and Owen to pull on the blue jersey next year! On a serious note though, always rated Woodgate as the best English defender I have ever seen (obviously injury prone but in terms of potential). Would love to see the little fella here. Cheers.
