maverick Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 Woodgate and Petrov were both at the training ground in the week. Could be interesting? What does anyone think?

Jimothy Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 Well considering Stylian Petrov will be playing for Villa against Arsenal later and Martin Petrov was in Blackpool yesterday in Bolton's squad, I doubt either are here.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 My brothers sisters aunties uncle son also said he seen them
TheUltimateWinner Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 Woodgate = Okay, Looked likely around January but got called off Petrov = Where did you hear that from?
Callabinho Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 TUM CU.............................cumbers Hold on, Holy Sh*t I can see Lukaku on the training ground from here..................Oh wait Fifa arena mode!
Bablemikey Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 Woodgate is obviously a talented player but his fitness issues would make this a gamble I would be unwilling to take if I had other options.
maverick Posted 15 May 2011 Author Posted 15 May 2011 I dont think either of them would be particularly good signings
vandamman Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 Martin Petrov of course, in and out of the Bolton squad and it was Sven who signed him at shitteh, I believe. Wouldn't be a bad move, he has scored goals everywhere he has gone but similiar to Woodgate but obviously not as much as a crock is prone to injury and at 32, is a gamble i'd rather not take. I would like to give Woodgate a go, was one of the best centrebacks around on his day and maybe by dropping down a league he is less likely to be so injury prone, perhaps he just cant handle the pace of the premiership anymore. Who knows but they arent particularly exciting signings, would rather we concentrated on getting Ben Mee first.

So you wouldn't give the not really that injury prone Petrov a go because he's too injury prone, but you would give Woodgate, possibly the most injury prone player in football history a go because dropping down a league might stop him getting injured. Odd. Woodgate never plays Premiership football, so I fail to see how training with Leicester will make him likely to get injured than when he trains with Spurs. It's all bullshit anyway, neither have been at the training ground.
