Haydos Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Yeah but there was a few reasons for that, such as Everton couldn't afford him, he wasn't getting a game, they didn't want to loan him to other premier league teams, supposedly falling out with people at Everton? Whereas Doyle/Johnson are both first choice players at their clubs, and now Brum are down, Johnson will be on his way to mid table Prem, probably Bolton if they're to lose Gary Cahill I'd have thought. Fair point. Wouldn't be the kind of signing I'd be 'surprised' about though.
Aidy3 Posted 22 May 2011 Author Posted 22 May 2011 I know he's actually a Derby player but what about Luke Varney? i bet he'd like it playing for his hometown club.
Callabinho Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Who of the three stand the best chance of going up? And do you thinks the favourite's will change to let's say Birmingham?
Bert Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Kevin Doyle? Because he's well above us? We have Yakubu remember. Obviously Parker is but you can't put Roger Johnson and Kevin Doyle anywhere near the same bracket. Yes you can, because none of them will be here next season and we don't have Yakubu yet.
Haydos Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Yes you can, because none of them will be here next season and we don't have Yakubu yet. Pedantry aside, he's still been here. And Scott Parker is footballer of the year, so no, you can't.
vandamman Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Punctuation. Puncheon is good but I reckon a couple of premiership teams will be after him, perhaps Newcastle.
KFS Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Blackpool's Matt Phillips looked very good on the right wing yesterday, might be worth a sneaky bid. He also played on the left wing at Wycombe, and he's only 19. Couldn't find anything on his current contract though.
Bert Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Pedantry aside, he's still been here. And Scott Parker is footballer of the year, so no, you can't. Well I wasn't really referring to Scott Parker, more Johnson and Doyle. So yes, you can put them in the same bracket, because none of them are going to be here. Is Steven Gerrard not in the same bracket as Scott Parker because Parker won footballer of the year? I don't think so.
Father Ted Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Puncheon and Bowyer. People saying the likes of Doyle, Hitzlsperger and Charlie Adam are fcuking crazy.
Callabinho Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Birmingham will be interesting, will most pf their players stay due to Europe? as for that how will they cope? 40 odd games, League cup, F.A cup, and Europe? surely they wont manage to turn up fresh as daisy's so every championship match?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Wouldn't mind David Murphy from Brum competing for a left back spot, he was shit hot at Hibs not too long back. Keith Fahey in midfield is a reasonable player for them too, he'd be more than decent at this level.
funkyrobot Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Luke varney is currently looking round Leicester's John Lewis kids section with his missus' he looks ok considering he got relegated less than 24hrs ago! Think he'd be a good squad member being a leicester lad and fan!
BlooArmeh! Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Puncheon is good but I reckon a couple of premiership teams will be after him, perhaps Newcastle. Tehee
