She's a smart little cookie is Amy.

Smart...but have been spending a bit too much time obsessing over our next transfer and not enough time in the lab....so on that note I'm off! When I return at lunch time we'd best have signed someone

Cannot see the konchesky deal going through as the LM states, but also they say WR could sign in the next 48hrs and City might have cooled on Maynard

I think everyone read that themselves, don't need you to say all over again do we

This doesn't sound promising

From Footyagent66 when I asked about time frame for Routledge...

@13thoughts Could get drawn out as #NUFC would prefer him to go to Swansea as leverage for a swap deal involving Neil Taylor

Although it may be directed at us, it could equally be in response to all the speculation of him joining Swansea.

Exactly.

That kind of makes sense to be honest, as I know the Neil Taylor deal has got complicated over the terms of a release clause, so Newcastle chucking in Routledge could sweeten the pot.

Routledge has got to want to go there too though. May sweeten the pot, but he has a say in it too.

True, but Newcastle may not accept an offer from us if they want him to go to Swansea. Plus, while Routledge may have a preference to come here, that probably wouldn't be strong enough that he would flat-out refuse to move to a Premier League club.

We'll see what develops I guess, it's all very cryptic at the minute.

Newcastle's move for Swansea's Neil Taylor is edging nearer to being resolved after being referred to a Premier League arbitration panel.

If Newcastle have met the release clause they don't have to offer anything else. I'm sure they'd rather he wasn't playing against them next season.

Bert, do you think that Konchesky and Routledge will be confirmed as LCFC players today?

Sounds similar to us with CMS. Peterboro' wanted him to join us to sweeten a deal for Kennedy....look how that turned out. Could Routledge do 'A Brighton' and snub Swansea for us?

That's better news!

If that transfer does get sorted out then i'd imagine Newcastle would then prefer him to move to us, rather then strengthening another Premiership club.

I think i'm over-thinking this.... :S
