wurmer Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Rob Tanner has confirmed nothing. He said it seems that the deal maybe back on, that means nothing hardly in my view. Be patient guys or you might be left red faced by the end of it. THIS Some on here have lost their heads - 2 uncorroborated sources doesn't equal 1 solid one.....
kingfox Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Mine is not a source, just look on twitter to see Rob Tanner hardly confirming anything. Only thing I see about Routledge is that he answered someone back saying it seems to be back on, would be good signing. Be patient is all im saying, because loads of other clubs are after him.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 THIS Some on here have lost their heads - 2 uncorroborated sources doesn't equal 1 solid one..... Would be more then happy to keep any info to my self but chose not too weather you belive it or not its up to you.
leicesterseddon Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Personally I think Wellens will be on the bench or on his way this season. Need a player like yuki in there as the other 3 are very samey and don't run around to the degree abe does Are you mad? Wellens was the player of the season, and for a reason too. He's the only player that picked himself throughout the campaign when other 'star' players (King, Gallagher, etc.) weren't nearly as consistent in their performances. I can count on one hand the number of games last season when I came out of the ground and said, 'Wellens had a really poor game today'. I can't really say that about anyone else in the squad. To be honest, if someone's likely to drop out of the midfield, it's more likely to be King IMO.

The scrap is between Danns, Abe, Oakley & Moussa for the 3rd midfield spot.

SPF07 Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Is it just me who doesnt think that Routledge is needed? Similar player to Dyer (granted better and more effective) but wont fit the system as Lloyd didnt? Money better spent else where ..... Yak, Maynard and NAUGHTON!
sphericalfox Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Is it just me who doesnt think that Routledge is needed? Similar player to Dyer (granted better and more effective) but wont fit the system as Lloyd didnt? Money better spent else where ..... Yak, Maynard and NAUGHTON! There's a fair few people who think the midfield is congested with options, certainly in the CM/DM positions. However Danns is equally confident and adept at playing on the RM position. Options is what we need. On the left handside we do not have options. Routledge, primarily plays on the left, but I am certain I have seen him swap to the right in a game, I am happy to be corrected. If a team sees Routledge and Masilela on the left they may as well give up on that side of the pitch.

And Routledge is twice the player Dyer is. And if Naughton, Yak and Maynard cost 1.5m then fair enough. But they don't.

Yak, Maynard and NAUGHTON! what's this horseshit about 'the system'? i'll be amazed if sven doesn't use 442 which he openly favours bearing in mind the number of signings we're making. why's everyone talking about a front 3 ffs!
Callabinho Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Stringer thinks it might be agent talk - i don't think he knows what is happening. He has the same agent as Matt mills, it could well be his agent talking, this doesn't rule it out of course.
john doe Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 He has the same agent as Matt mills, it could well be his agent talking, this doesn't rule it out of course. so hes going to buy a bentley

Last season we had no plan b never mind c or d It's all about playing players ideally in there positions in a system .... Would be very welcome addition me thinks
Callabinho Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 :sge: Looks like this could happen, along with Konchesky.....
Little Nicky Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Good player with Prem experience for only 1.5m. Arguably bigger than Mills Definitely got my hopes up for this now. Obviously going to be in a foul mood when he moves to Swansea tomorrow This! Haha, come on d-wayyyyne!
Buck1983 Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Have to feel this could be a massive signing and would fit in so well: Kasper Peltier-Mills-Vitor/Bamba-Masilela Danns-Wellens-King Gallagher-Nugent-Routledge personally (no offence. opinion) I think it's more ( if rumours be true) : Kasper peltier-mills-bamba-konchesky Danns routledge. Gallagher King/Wellens Nugent. Yakubu/Maynard? A lot of maybes but I definatly think Svens favourite diamond will be put into play.

Routledge is being cleared to leave the Toon after a loan spell at QPR, who also wanted him but have been unable to raise the cash for either the fee or his personal terms. Promoted Swansea joined the £1.5million chase yesterday but the Foxes, who are out to spend their way into the Premier League, are confident they can offer the talented wide-man a better deal.

Happy Fox Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Taking the Mirror with a pinch of salt is not likely mate
ScoutMan Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Routledge http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2013484/Wayne-Routledge-sign-Leicester-City.html?ito=feeds-newsxml Hes best mates with Peltier and Danns aswell.
Buck1983 Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Really bored of the 'big spending' tag now. But we are spending big! Spending more than Some prem clubs and matching prem wages. We are the Man City of the championship! Haha
