Itsthejoeker Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 The fact that he can defend is an improvement on PVA straight away. Not getting too carried away with You Tube clips - take Kaebe, he 'looked' world class but turned out average at best. Having said that, any signing by Sven will get my backing as would all members of the team. I didn't think he played much anyway, because of the language barrier?
Lord Fox Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 I didn't think he played much anyway, because of the language barrier? If memory serves me right I think I remember reading that the club got him a translator / language coach - much the same as for Abe But unlike Abe he just didn't settle and make the first team
Bugg Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 I didn't think he played much anyway, because of the language barrier? What? But everyone speaks his languange We are a small town in asia afterall
darko2k7 Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Saying you prefer proven championship players over this guy makes you look abit silly considering he is proven CL and WC standard .
john doe Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Saying you prefer proven championship players over this guy makes you look abit silly considering he is proven CL and WC standard . the idea is to make him look supid not yourself
Alexikokopops Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Baggsies the first youtube clip! Pretty handy...is it leftback? with a good cross. You may want to mute the music! I can't stop myself singing it. What a tune! DO DO DO DOOO DO DO! Anyway, I hope we sign this guy for his name alone.
Howard9 Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 This lad looks promising, just hope he can speak good english, if not atleast he can accompany abe in their weekly english lesson.
Toffee_Fox Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 Cant judge a player by youtube video's, but CL and world cup, cant be too bad
Bugg Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 This lad looks promising, just hope he can speak good english, if not atleast he can accompany abe in their weekly english lesson. He's from South Africa, I'm pretty sure he can speak English.
Simo86 Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 He's from South Africa, I'm pretty sure he can speak English. I was thinking the same thing!!
Bettsj2 Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 I just have an opinion that foreign signings in my view can be risky, when there is better players we can get from Premier League and Championship level, some won't agree like the person who told me to jog on but everyone has an opinion. I would prefer someone who we have all seen play, like the players we have been linked with so far like Schmeichel, Konchesky, Maynard, Nugent, Eagles and Peltier(who we have now signed) fans know about those players and know that they are very good but when some African, South African, South American player that hardly anybody has heard of appears on the radar I just feel disappointed of the fact we can buy better. We brought in Cunningham and Van Aanholt two decent youngsters, then you have players like Bertrand and Konchesky who we have seen week in week out do a very good job in the Premiership and Championship. I just have an opinion on foreign signings, some can be ok then some can be a disaster like Kermit the frog, Hellings and Kaebi. Just so we're clear, would you be ok with a foreign player joining that's proven himself at championship level? If so, you should really not type things like 'foreign signings can be risky' and 'I like my English players' as it makes you sound a little bit racist.

Ozwin Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 6 pages in a day? You lot got nowt better to do or is there legs in this?
Callabinho Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 He's from South Africa, I'm pretty sure he can speak English. He will most likely speak English.
Bugg Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 He will most likely speak English. Yeah, that was kind of my point
thybluefox Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 6 pages in a day? You lot got nowt better to do or is there legs in this? If you believe whats been going out on Twitter (from usually in the know people), then this could have legs.

Also because you haven't heard of a player doesn't make that shit. What is your extensive knowledge of all players in the world palying the game? Sit back and enjoy our manaement team build the team they want as we go towards the Premiership.
Hack Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 It's a gamble bringing in players like these but the benefits if they work out can be very good. I'd rather pay £1 mill for a nobody who has the potential to turn into a £5 - 10 mill star, than £5 mill for somone who everyone knows how well they can play with little prospect I think it's great scouting and research if decent players can be picked out like this. (providing they are successful) good job sven Peter Maisilela is not a nobody!! You dno't play for your Country as many times as he has (South Africa is not a bad side) being a nobody. Also Maccabi Tel Aviv plays often in the CL where there is significant money to be made. They don't import nobodies!! Just very good players from smaller markets like africa.
Hack Posted 21 June 2011 Posted 21 June 2011 This lad looks promising, just hope he can speak good english, if not atleast he can accompany abe in their weekly english lesson. He can, he is from South Africa where English is spoken. Also English is the second language of Israel.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 I love him mainly cos i drank many a can in South Arica that had his face in it. Came off the bench against Mexico at WC and did well. Against Urguay he played but they were all poor and suspended for the final game. Sorry about the size.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 found his agent on twitter @MikeMakaab asked him if he is coming He is agent of Bernard parker maybe he knows sven well Also acording to his profile on his agents website he is a left winger http://www.prosportinternational.com/athletes/football/profile/masilela_tsepo/ Sport: FootballPosition: Left Full, Left Winger D.O.B: 1985-05-05 Club(s): Maccabi Haifa (Israel) Nationality: South Africa Tsepo is a defender for Ligat ha'Al club Maccabi Haifa and South Africa. He was part of the South African 2006 African Nations Cup team, where he made his debut on 30 January 2006 against Zambia. Tsepo has earned 26 Caps for Bafana Bafana . Masilela was also part of the Bafana Bafana team which went on to play in the Semi Finals of the FIFA Confederations Cup, July 2009.
Hack Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 You have seen his youtube defensive clip in earlier pages. Check out the way he plays going forward. Between him (if we sign him) and Peltier on the right, it would drive defenses crazy and open up our strikers. Counter attacks will be fun to watch. He is very quick, Balanced and has great concentration. stays on his man very well. Would be be a very big signing for us.
1991FOX Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 Sven really will have pulled one out the bag if he signs Masilela
