SOCCERROO FOX Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 Would be a good signing he is only 22 so has time on his hands a good backup for Konchesky I Heard his ability is on-PARR with Konchesky
Adster Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 I Heard his ability is on-PARR with Konchesky Sounds parrfect
absolutelegend Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 anybody here ever seen him play? read a few people say "good signing" etc. wondered what they were basing that on?
OLD norfox Posted 15 July 2011 Author Posted 15 July 2011 anybody here ever seen him play? read a few people say "good signing" etc. wondered what they were basing that on? I have seen him play about 20 times. Likes to go forward and has pace and decent crosses. Good shoots too but a little wild and too much ballwatching in defence. Can be much better to read the game and find his right place.
norwegianfox Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 I would have preffered the other Norwegian full back we were linked with (Tom Hoegli). Parr is still young and might develop into a class player. I've seen him on numerous occations (on TV) playing for his club and also some friendly internationals. He is rather quick which is never a bad thing for a full back. At the moment I believe he will be a back up to Konchesky. Interesting though that most of the paper talks here in Norway suggests that QPR, Swansea and even West Ham have shown an interest in him.
Criggers Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 Given all the defenders we're signing this one feels a little Parrticularly unnecessary
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 I expect him to go to QPR, but we'll see. Hopefully! I want Chris Gunter!
Simmo86 Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 Hopefully! I want Chris Gunter! Isn't Parr a left back? If we do get him won't have any bearing on whether we sign Gunter (which we wont)
back2oldbrittain Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 Didn't he sing 'St Elmos' Fire' ? ha ha........
RedHux Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 Gunter is a right back and is only a left back n the sense that Matt mills can play centre forward.
Simmo86 Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 Gunter is a right back and is only a left back n the sense that Matt mills can play centre forward. Couldnt off put it better myself
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 Gunter is a right back and is only a left back n the sense that Matt mills can play centre forward. Redhux do you Gunter would be interested in joining us?
Clazie Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 I expect him to go to QPR, but we'll see. QParr? Urgh, I feel disgusted by my own effort.
RedHux Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 Redhux do you Gunter would be interested in joining us? Shouldn't think so. He's well thought of here, seems to be enjoying his football and is well in contract so it'd take another one of your trademark 'silly money offers' to tempt our board.

RedHux Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 Throw in the reported wages you lot are offering and it soon looks like silly money compared to what us poor teams have to work with.
Bert Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 Throw in the reported wages you lot are offering and it soon looks like silly money compared to what us poor teams have to work with. Yes, reported.
Leicester Rule! Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 Yes, reported indeed. O well, shame ..... We're buying the league, we're buying the league, we're Leicester City, we're buying the league .....
Stevosevic Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 To be honest it's not like Forest didn't spend quite a bit of money when BD was in charge, wages probably not as high though of course.
LCFC FOX Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 Jonathan Parr travel Monday to London, and medical test at Crystal Palace. Aafk and Championship club have reached agreement on a transition. http://www.aafk.no/default.aspx?menu=617&id=44307
Ozwin Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 Didn't Forest spend a fair bit of money back in their glory years?
