Samilktray Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 We left the window open a couple of years ago in weather like this. In the middle of the night the wife woke me up screaming. A cat had climbed into our bedroom and was licking her feet. Needless to say it spoiled our nights sleep. Flat out the funniest thing I've read all year

Alexikokopops Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 What the heck's wrong with you all? Yes, it's hot but it's not that hot. I thought I was the only one.
ACF Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 I'm in England, and this is not hot. Have a cup of concrete and harden up!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 My Mother allows me to allow my balcony door to be open fully whilst asleep when I'm at her house. but sadly doesn't allow me to sleep within the balcony area. I wish there was cool breeze at times during this weather. Mummys boy Hahaha i love the english complaining about heat when they don't know a hot day from a nice day
Marcus LCFC Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 Mummys boy Hahaha i love the english complaining about heat when they don't know a hot day from a nice day It's 15 degrees and I am sweating How the heck do you cope with the heat ROO?
ousefox Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 Going to have to move downstairs soon, this is unbearable.
ScouseFox Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 Says you ROO, who complains every time the temp dips below 20 degrees because it's too cold.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 Says you ROO, who complains every time the temp dips below 20 degrees because it's too cold. I don't mind the cold except Saturday night when my legs started to turn blue cos i was still wearing shorts and it was 5 degress.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 It's 15 degrees and I am sweating How the heck do you cope with the heat ROO? Window open with a bit of a breeze whilst sleeping, job done.

Part Of The Crowd Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 What the **** is wrong with you? I could probably still walk around with a hooded top on comfortably in this weather. And I'm someone that doesn't feel the cold rather than someone who needs a warmer climate.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 I just use this heat as an excuse to be on football manager for hours

Part Of The Crowd Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 No, anyone that can't sleep in this weather because it's 'too hot' is just weird, in my books. It's not that warm, it's not even that humid, it's just mid twenties Celsius. The other thing annoying me about this is everyone saying 'I can't wait for winter.' or 'This is way to warm, I want it to be colder.' who are the first people to complain when it's cold.
acooling08 Posted 26 June 2011 Author Posted 26 June 2011 When you leave the windows open I hate the influx of 100s of moths ffs!

If you see my post earlier, I agree that it's not that hot that sleeping is a major problem. I still stand by my previous point though. There was a "feel-factor" of 31 degrees down where I live, no breeze. If anyone was wearing a hoody in London, then I'm afraid to say you're a mentalist.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 I was not in London. It's only been 25C here today, most places in the country have only been around that temperature and it's just not as warm as people are making it out to be.

I can understand the Aussies mocking us but in Britain a 20 degree + night is unusually hot. I generally have issues getting to sleep anyway, so the heat just compounds it.
Libertine Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Wouldn't it be strange if we were all different and felt and experienced things differently and stuff. Wait...

Finnegan Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 No, anyone that can't sleep in this weather because it's 'too hot' is just weird, in my books. It's not that warm, it's not even that humid, it's just mid twenties Celsius. Just gotten back from Malta where the night time temperatures were colder than they were in Leicester last night and I had air con. Similarly Hong Kong last year was considered 'hot' at just a few degrees warmer during the evening and, again, everywhere has air con. I'm sorry but by the standards of British whether (which is what we live in, all year round) 25 odd degrees at night is unusually hot. And a hoody in 27 degrees? Whilst I accept Libertine's point - that's fucking weird. The other thing annoying me about this is everyone saying 'I can't wait for winter.' or 'This is way to warm, I want it to be colder.' who are the first people to complain when it's cold. Er, no, not I. Much prefer the winter and have always stuck by that. You can far more easily make yourself warmer than colder when the need arises. Or, as the good lord said: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUUfMzhGc_E
